   Better voice search in CarPlay mode and categories like Gas, Food, etc so you don’t have to take your eyes off the road and use the phone. I find myself having to close the Waze app in CarPlay and open up Apple maps just to find a place for a new route because typing in destinations in the Waze CarPlay mode doesn’t bring up closely relevant destinations, and voice search just brings up a map with no way to select anything. Just take a look at how Google Maps and Apple Maps does this feature. Especially for selecting categories like Food, Gas, and organizing by closest to you.

2. Allow a longer delay before voice prompts

   When using my iPhone with bluetooth handsfree kit, I miss the first word of each prompt while the kit detects bluetooth audio and mutes my radio in the car. Please increase delay between starting the announcement (or add a selectable option to do so) to overcome this problem.

3. Change is voice directions

   First of all amazing app, used google map 4 times in london and got lost every time, first time used this app got me where I needed to every time.

   Like to add one small suggestion, I use this app with my phone in pocket and a earpiece so can’t see the screen.

   When it gives a navigation like “In 1000ft take the left” if there are other left turns before the one needed could it be changed to say something like “In 1000ft take the 3rd left” if there are 2 other left turns before the 1 needed, a couple of times I was unsure and would over or under shoot the turn I needed.

   This would be a small change but would help so much to users who are having to rely on voice directions only and can’t see a street names in time to make a safe turn

4. Voice activated way to close the app.

   Hi,
   I would love if there was a way to turn off the app or close the app with a voice prompt, or at least an easy button to touch on the main screen of the route page. It's very distracting and dangerous to have to go back a screen and push two little buttons to go into the sleep mode on the app. Please work on this for driver safety reasons. I absolutely love your app but this is a serious issue.

6. Give us access to all the voice models that Waze has.

   Instead of making something like a voice model scarce and using it as a tactic to create chatter and demand by needlessly and pointlessly limiting the supply of some of the voice models. Calling them limited time offers seems to be a calculated excuse used on a topic that so many people are interested in. Have a setting in the app for choosing the voice model that ports to a master file in your servers that we can download and use any model that Waze has ever had. Unless I'm completely out of my element and they are limited because the greedy celebrities charge you an arm and a leg and also put time limits on your use, like 30 or 60 days.

11. Wake up command and Voice Reporting

    Hi the New beta is fine but we still need a button to report by speech, because you are still forced to press buttons on smartphone to report a situation we need a wake up command IN WAZE

    (like hi Waze please report traffic ahead). Or Hi Waze Report. And Waze says: what would you like to report? Traffic ahead.

    Report vehicle standing still yet

    Waze stays more unsafe till there is a solution where drivers using Waze don't have to let go of their steering wheel and gear.

    Best Waze improvement of 2025 will be Report 100% handsfree by voice activation. In several european languages

12. voice regonition

    It could be nice if the app had built it vocal recognition. Instead of looking your screen to report an incident, for exemple, you could say: "ok waze report an object on the road". It would be much safer and the accuracy of the incident on the road would be better because this method would be quicker that reporting on your phone while driving.

    I work in advertising. We have a partner who wants to show baners on waze. That promotes looking at your phone while driving. Well what if you could talk to Waze or they could ask you what you need as you're approcahing. For example: GPS/Smart Fence with voice command/recognition asking "do you need gas?" Y - "there is a __ station in .5 miles". N - no response. Same w/ ATMs and food. "Are you hungry?" Y - "there is___ restaurant __miles." This allows waze to partner up with many vendors and have a lasting relationship promoting their brands. This also keeps drivers hands free and safe.

    Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

16. Voice ads instead of popping ads that would block the navigation screen.

    Hi Waze team, have an idea/suggestion...

    Instead of popping out ads during users’ navigation, why not let the Voice Direction narrate the ads? So it would be a voice ad, like in the fm radio. And you can also add a cute lil “go-to” button on the navigation screen so users can tap on it and gets navigated to the shop/advertiser if applicable and necessary.

    Reason being is; when you pop out ads while users are navigating, typically it would block the navigation screen, and users would just:
    - either ignore with hopes that the ad would go away quickly and they won’t miss out any junctions
    - or ignore as they’re focusing with their eyes on the road
    - or tap on the navigation screen so the ad would be closed, which causes unnecessary hassle when the driver needs to drive

    If a voice-ad were to be implemented, potential outcome would be;
    - users would listen and pay attention
    - users would be happier as it doesn’t block the navigation screen
    - they would be more interested in the ad as it’s more convenient

    Things to look out for to implement this;
    - voice ads can only be played for a short period of time, (ie; 5secs), make it catchy!
    - voice ads have to be played when the next junction is at least approx 2mins away (ie; when users are 2km away from next junction/turn with standard speed)

    Not sure if this has already been implemented, haven’t seen it in my country yet. If this is already in place, look forward for it to be in my country!

    Thank you for your suggestion! We try to make our ads as useful as possible to Wazers. An ad-free version is not planned for the near future.

17. Voice/audio command instances & timing

    The timing of the audible commands should be perfectly consistent. I drive a semi thru all 48 states and sometimes it seems like the audible voice command forgets or seems to pick and choose when to tell me the next instruction, and I would like to not have to mess with my phone while driving to pull the wave app back on screen if it isn't already, read the instruction, and navigate the onscreen map to see where to turn while in heavy traffic on urban roads/hwys I'm unfamiliar with trying not to miss my turn. Sometimes, it'll announce 300 ft before i must execute the command but not at all anytime before that and im clearly in the wrong lane to do so safely by then. So, the voice command should either be set to announce the next command at a minimum of these following 5 instances EVERYTIME: immediately after executing the previous command, 5 mi before next command execution, 1 mi before it, 1000 ft before it, and immediately before it (300 ft), and if the next execution is within 1000 ft from the previous one, the audio should still announce both commands just before executing the previous command, or the audio commands should just be adjustable where the user can checkbox all of the instances/circumstances when they want the next command announced.

18. Fix the voice of Sara

    I use the voice of Sara to navigate. I go on rt8 north from Ansonia ct to Seymore CT. befor I get on rt8 Sara says WAKELY st as it should be pronounced but when I get off exit 22 she pronounces WAKELY as WACKLY. WACKLY is not a street, road or ave in that area. On the screen it clearly says WAKELY when she says WACKLY.
    She pronounces WAKELEE as WAKELEE but she pronounces WAKELY as WACKLY. There is no WACKLY.
    Can you please fix this soon???
