1. Requête « station service auto ouverte le samedi

   J’ai tapé la requête en objet depuis mon domicile dans le 12e. Dans la liste de résultats apparaissent plusieurs entrées « GAZECLAIR STATION SERVICE », qui en fait sont des boutiques pour le gaz domestique et le matériel fonctionnant à cette énergie suivante, comme chaudières murales ELM Leblanc, etc.. C’est grâce à « Street View » que j’ai évité de me déplacer en voiture: c’est signalé dans une rue à 450 m de chez moi où j’habite depuis .. 1982 sans jamais être passé dans cette petite rue! J’avais fait un tour de 45 mn en voiture de bonne heure pour trouver une station pour contrôler la pression de mes pneumatiques. Je suis en jantes hiver 17 ". Le détecteur de sous-pression ne fonctionne qu’avec la monte d’origine 18 " qui est permutée pour l’hiver de mi-novembre à mi-avril.. Le véhicule roule peu (5000 km/an) et les pneus perdent de la pression en stationnement plusieurs semaines sans rouler.

   Bonjour,
   J'aime la navigation Waze, je participe à des rallyes touristique et je me rends d'un point A, B, C, D, E... jusqu'a un point d'arrivée (par exemple: Départ "Obermodern-Zutzendorf" sur D919-> D712-> D37-> D83-> RF-> D123-> D723-> D83A-> D83b-> D36-> VO-> VO-> D110f-> D662 et bien + encore), passant aussi par des Routes Forestières, des Voies Ouvertes et ayant des points de contrôles surprise, je n'ai pas trouver comment faire pour choisir mes trajets sans proposition "Trajet plus Court" "Itinéraires alternatifs" ou "Meilleur Itinéraire" ou de trouver dans le menu paramètre une proposition de fonction (Rallye), ni de rajouter une échelle de distance qui disparaitrait 20 seconde après avoir modifié la dimension de la carte.

4. Body mass index and cardiorespiratory fitness in MSers: Yes, it matters

   Abstract

   OBJECTIVE:

   This study examined body fatness and its association with cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF) in persons with multiple sclerosis (pwMS) accounting for disability status.

   MATERIALS AND METHODS:

   This study involved a secondary data analysis from a previous study of 62 pwMS. Body fatness was indirect measured as body mass index (BMI), and CRF was measured as peak oxygen consumption from an incremental exercise test with spirometry. Participants were allocated into 3 different groups based on established BMI categories (ie, normal, overweight, and obese), and data were analyzed using SPSS.

   RESULTS:

   The average BMI was 27.0 (6.7) kg/m2 , and CRF was 19.5 (7.2) mL/kg/min. There was an inverse correlation (pr = -.38 [-.57; -.14]; P = .003) between BMI and CRF controlling for age, sex, disease duration, and disability level. ANCOVA with linear contrast analysis revealed a statistical significant reduction in CRF between groups of different BMI categories; normal weight 20.8 (0.85); overweight 19.8 (1.13); and obese 16.9 (1.73) mL/kg/min; F (2, 55) = 3.33, P = .043; η2 = .11.

   CONCLUSIONS:

   The findings suggest that BMI has a negative impact on CRF in pwMS, with a marked reduction in CRF for those classified as obese compared to those in the normal and overweight category.

5. Allow Restriction Conditions for Workspaces; & Allow Areas to have Local Permit/Pass Types (IE: Student Parking, Staff Parking)

   Certain Roadways are set as restricted due to having gates, or other access controlling systems in place. The Waze Engine ignores these roadways as far as I am aware, which can affect those who work in the area. I think it would be a cool feature to have the ability to allow Regional Restrictions, it would benefit large sites, such as Colleges, Gated Communities, and other high density areas with varying road restrictions.

   I have attached two images of Restriction Concepts I have made within the Restriction Editor.

   Driving is (Allowed/Disallowed) for:

   (Vehicle Type) with Workplace within (Area)
   (Vehicle Type) Works Within (Distance) (Unit) of (Area)
   (Vehicle Type) Has Permit (Local Permit) of (Area)

   If a user meets the restriction requirements, they'll be permitted for routing within the restricted roadway, if there is a path to the destination, as long as one routing path's restrictions are satisfied for the entire length of the route.

6. Permanent “End of Pavement” Alert

   In several regions, especially on state highways and rural roads, there is an abrupt transition in pavement—for example, the end of the asphalted section and the beginning of a dirt or basalt-stone road. These sudden surface changes can catch drivers by surprise, particularly during low-visibility hours, adverse weather conditions, or on higher-speed roads.

   Technical and Road Safety Justification:
   Changes in pavement type can pose significant risks to drivers, such as:
   Rear-end collisions, when the vehicle ahead suddenly slows upon noticing the change in pavement;
   Loss of control and roadway departures, due to loose gravel, irregularities, or reduced traction on dirt or basalt surfaces;

   Increased braking distance, especially when transitioning from asphalt to a more unstable surface.
   A similar situation is already recognized by road authorities, and several highways physically signpost “End of Pavement.” The alert would follow the same usability logic and importance as the current “Sharp Curve,” “Complex Intersection,” and other warnings already implemented in the app.

   Implementation Proposal:
   Create a new type of permanent alert that allows editors to map points where the following occurs:
   End of asphalt pavement, or
   Transition to gravel/basalt stones/compact dirt.

   This alert would be displayed to drivers with adequate advance notice, allowing for planned speed reduction and improved operational safety, aligning with good practices in road signage and accident prevention.

   I’m writing to suggest a useful feature that could enhance the user experience for many drivers, especially those who prefer traveling familiar routes.
   Feature Idea: Route Memory or Same Route Return

   The idea is to allow users to record and save the exact route they take from Point A to Point B, so that they can later choose to return using the same exact path — even if the system finds alternate “faster” or “better” options on the return journey.

   Why This Feature Would Help:
   Some users (like myself) feel more confident or safe returning via the same road they used earlier.

   Current GPS apps often suggest different return paths due to traffic, but that can confuse or stress users unfamiliar with certain areas.

   A “Route Memory” option gives users more control, comfort, and consistency.

   It’s especially helpful for:

   New drivers

   Older people

   People who face anxiety in unfamiliar areas

   Nighttime travel with family

   Delivery drivers wanting to retrace their route

   Possible implementation ideas:

   An option to "Save My Route" once navigation is completed

   A toggle that says “Use Same Route for Return”

   A saved route folder for personal reference

   1. Alertes : remplacer les bips par des messages vocaux adaptés : Exemple : “Attention ralentisseur dans 200 m vitesse 30 km/h” “Attention fort ralentissement à 500 m sur votre trajet” “Attention zone de contrôle à 500 m, réduisez votre vitesse à 80 km/h” “Attention un véhicule est arrêtés dans 1 km”
   2. Pour les changement de vitesse limite : Lors d'un changement de limite de vitesse, une message vocal indique l'action et la vitesse à atteindre et la distance du changement : "Ralentissez à 70 km/h dans 200 mètres" "Vous pouvez maintenant rouler à 110km/h" quand la vitesse autorisée augmente.
   3. Remplacer le bip peu audible par un message vocal indique l'action et la vitesse à atteindre lorsque que je dépasse la limite de vitesse : "Ralentissez à 70 km/h" “Vous dépassez la vitesse autorisée, ralentissez à 30 km/h”
   4. Différencier les bips selon les dangers et ajouter un message vocal pour indiquer l’action à effectuer si possible.
   5. Différencier le volume des alertes de sécurité et de vitesse, plus fort que les indications de navigation et proposer plusieurs niveaux sonores à régler dans les paramètres personnalisés en fonction des catégories.
   6. Permettre de personnaliser les bips et les messages d’alerte : Je suis plus attentif aux alertes sonores qu’aux alertes visuelles quand je regarde la route.

9. favorites system & usability

   The favorites system in this app feels extremely limited and unintuitive, making saving and using favorites unnecessarily difficult.

   Instead of a proper favorites list, the app relies on a single horizontal bar that requires swiping left and right. This design does not scale: once more than a few locations are saved, finding anything becomes a guessing game.

   Fixed locations (Home and Work)

   Several locations such as Home and Work are fixed and cannot be customized:
   - Names cannot be renamed
   - Icons are oversized
   - Labels are too long and take up excessive space
   - Entries cannot be deleted or reordered

   This is especially problematic for students who do not have a fixed Work location. I know where my university is and do not need a permanent work shortcut, yet I am forced to keep it. At the same time, I cannot add the locations I actually need in a clean, usable way.

   Real-world use cases

   • I have two homes that I regularly navigate to
   • I need quick access to family addresses
   • My university has multiple buildings in different cities

   With the current system, saving 15–20 addresses makes the favorites bar completely unusable. There is no overview, no structure, and no meaningful way to organize anything.

   Expected improvements

   • A real favorites list, not just a swipeable bar
   • A customizable top bar with only the most important favorites
   • Full control to rename, reorder, or remove all favorites (including Home and Work)
   • Optional folders (Family, Friends, University, Other)
   • No forced integration with contacts or calendar

   Other navigation apps handle favorites far better. This app’s approach feels outdated and restrictive. Everything else works well, but the favorites system actively discourages saving locations and makes daily navigation harder than necessary. (an example of an app that has really intuitive ui is "here we go"). I just overall preferred waze, but this is like something that makes it almost unusable to me

    Viele Nutzer wünschen sich eine einfache Möglichkeit, bestimmte Streckenabschnitte (z. B. bevorzugte Landstraßen oder eine bestimmte Autobahnauffahrt) in die Routenplanung einzubeziehen, ohne dazu komplizierte Zwischenziele setzen zu müssen. Aktuell führt die strikte Orientierung an der „optimalen“ Route in ländlichen Gebieten oder an komplexen Autobahnzugängen oft zu unnötigen Abbiegungen, Schleifen oder unnatürlichen Umwegen.

    Ich schlage zwei Funktionen vor, die dieses Problem effizient lösen würden:

11. Improve UI input focus and input item navigation for non-touchscreen use

    I use Android Auto in a 2023 Mazda 3 that does not have a touchscreen (has only a rotary knob controller) and navigation focus is often frustrating. When an alert pops up, the focus goes to it (OK) but when done and it closes, it lands input focus on the "search" icon I think it is (this is bad...it should go back to where it came from). I usually leave my focus on the icon for reporting hazards, since that is what I am 95% likely to want to do while driving. But it doesn't land back there again after the popup goes away and it's distracting to have to take extra action to reposition the focus where I want it again. The highlight for the focus also needs to be a little more obvious. It's light blue which is consistent with Waze's colors and branding, but the problem is that it doesn't stand out and in a non-touch environment I need it to stand out.

    Another thread has mentioned that the alert popup focus also has issues. If you respond immediately to "still there" or "not there", it works OK. But the longer it stays on your screen and the distance counts down, it looks focused but isn't. The input focus gets moved to I think the search icon before the popup has expired and pressing on the car's knob doesn't produce the expected action on the alert popup.

    I also have found that I can zoom in/out on the map, but I cannot find any way to move the map up/down or left/right in my non-touch environment. It's either not there or it's totally not obvious how.

    Pretty much, go try most of Waze's functionality in a Mazda with no-touchscreen Android Auto for an hour or so and you'll see most of the deficiencies. Input focus is easy in a touchscreen because where the focus is doesn't matter because your finger will move focus and perform the input in one step, but in a non-touchscreen environment the behavior of automatic focus and UI navigation is very important to consider more carefully.

It could vary from a small overlaid window with just the 3 location options, all the way to a full EMS window with all options and flashing torches. Either way, in an emergency, something will help those present in providing essential location detail in those crucial minutes. If there is to be an option for ‘voice activated control’ then the initial part should be automatic from the AI not the user, in case they are incapacitated or unable to speak; the AI should time-out to non-vocal after a period so anyone in vision of the display can see the location, in case they are unable to move, but can use their own phone to call EMS instead.
