Background version of waze to voice alert on speed cameras when routing suggestions is not needed
In most of the cases you know the driving route and you don't need waze for suggesting routes. but it's very helpfull to get voice alert on speed cameras on the way.
I suggest to take that feature in waze and make it a standallone version that runs in the background (without the need to open it, or to display path, progress etc' which is battery consuming).5 votesYou can turn Waze to Alerts Only mode and keep app in the background – audio notifications about upcoming alerts will be provided.

Speed camera notifications AFTER passing it
I think you should get rid of the notification that comes up with the little timer after you've passed a speed camera. It takes so long to go away and it's not convenient to press close so many times. Plus it's not useful what's the point you've passed it now

Traffic Reporting
users report traffic even at 2am on an empty street as heavy or even standstill just to get points.
Recommend a change where the user only presses a button that says "report traffic". Then the app over 3 minutes send location and speeds to server and server decides based on reported speed vs posted speed, the heaviness of traffic. At 80% if posted a peed you mark "moderate". At 60% it's "heavy" and at 40%, it's at a "standstill".

re-route based on upcoming traffic conditions / congestions
While waze does show upcoming traffic condition on one's route it does not provide facility to automatically re-route the traveler around traffic congestion using surface streets or alternate highway/freeway.
This is essential to optimizing waypoint ordering/priority:
This ought be available in other-than a binary toggle (yes or no). While yes and no are suitable broad options, waze ought provider finer grained control of re-routing as it does now (faster or shorter). These should include
(1) time windows
(2) zones / areas
(3) specific roads / highways / freeways
(4) density of other Wazers
(5) using either / both wazer…

More voice warning before freeway exits, regardless of speed
I noticed that the location of the voice instruction you hear before a freeway exit varies based on how fast you're going.
Around 100 km/h, you get the voice instruction 1.5 kilometres before your exit.
Around 80 km/h, you get the voice warning about 1 km before the exit.
Around 60 km/h, you get the warning just 300 metres before the exit.It's the last one that I think is a problem. Some drivers rely mostly on the voice instructions either because we don't have a phone stand or because of restrictive laws regarding phone use while driving. And if…

Maximum speedlimit
One function I really miss is being able to set the maximum speed I drive in. In Sweden, the maximum permitted speed is 80 km/h with a caravan, my eta today is quite misleading as it is based on the current speed limit on the road. So a function where I can set the maximum allowed speed myself would be really good.

Traffic lanes speed.
It would be useful to add this feature back to the Waze app because the speed of traffic segments is useful, so that we drivers can understand how intense the traffic is on certain sections of the road. But it should be estimated in both Km and in miles.

Waze Support for the Parrot Asteroid
The Parrot Asteroid is a great car stereo based on android, however the unique nature of the device limits it's online apps to those that specifically support it. Currently the Asteroid has no turn by turn navigation. Waze's powerful mapping and reporting features would greatly benefit users of the Parrot Asteroid and raise awareness for both Parrot and Waze.

Add road expected speed to the Waze speedometer
Add road expected speed like how Google maps has, to the Waze Speedometer. That will help a lot.

Incorporate a simple view. With speed, distance to next turn and direction of next turn.
When driving at night, all I need to know is my speed, distance to the next turn and direction to turn.
(ETA would of course be nice to see with smaller text.)

Android Auto 2019 GUI - add speed display/warning/ road incidentsin footer
When no destination is set and Waze map is not selected, the footer only displays the Waze icon and leaves a large empty area -> additional minimized information can be added: road incident or current speed/overspeed information

Defferent speed limit for different vehicles
I'd like to tell waze what vehicle I'm driving so when I'm on a single dual carriageway it knows I can only do 50mph and 60mph on a dual carriageway.

New Driver / Learner Mode - For drivers that have restrictions for speed / highway
A mode for new driver/learner, where restrictions (typically not allowed on major highways, or speeds above 100kph. When this mode is on the route provided avoids these. Much like avoid Toll.

Speedo meter, cam alerts,
The speedometer on the map plus the road speed limit is below on the phone. Speed cam alerts are show in the below part of the screen. While riding a motorcycle (superbike) i have to literally look down to see the speed taking my eyes off the road. This is dangerous. Please place speedo meter with speed limit indication on the top of screen or give an option like a layout to choose from. An option to move the "average speed" pop up location
Currently the "average speed" pop up covers the speedometer, so there's no way of knowing what speed we're actually driving at until the popup disappears. Could you move the location of this popup or give us the ability to reposition the popup?

Option to Remove Speed Cameras on the Other Side of the Road
I would like the option to Remove Speed Cameras on the Other Side of the Road. This should be a simple fix within the settings and would allow for less confusion when driving on a motorway. I’m often caught out by speed cameras and slowing right down from the speed limit to well below it so there’s not chance of me being fined. Time Limit for Reports
Hi Time Limit for Reports, on the map is 30 min that is very short, much people complaining about it, will be good around 1 hour maybe more! And for car stoped will be good 1.5 a day because car who is broken can’t move out for 30 min etc. Thank you
