Red light & speed camera warnings do not go away.
Recently, red light and speed camera warnings do not go away unless I close and restart the app. These warnings cover destination time and prevent access to other menus.

Verbal “Animal Alert” & Animal Icon replaced in app
Requesting update to app: 50 mile commute to & from work. High potential for animal / wildlife encounters & add a loss of connection for approx 5 miles during the trip. Would like an “Animal” icon to be placed back into the app & a verbal “Animal Alert” be announced the same way that construction, crashes, hazards & police, do so now. I like to see more options reg speed cameras. Such as opt "other side" or "lazer speed cam" etc

This suggestion will not be implemented for the time being. Adding more and more options to reporting, especially for less popular types of reports such as other side which will also require another window/card, is not something we are aiming for at the moment. Please be aware that other side reporting is already available by voice using the Google Assistant! We believe investing in voice can create essentially a better and more scalable experience and we hope to bring it to more languages soon.

Ability to enter permanent police speed cameras
Please allow permanent police speed cameras. The City of East Canton, Ohio has installed permanent police cameras on both east and west incoming on Route 30.

Have an option to adjust the maximum speed limit to account for company speed limits. Working for Hallcon, I can only drive 55 mph at night on a two-lane road, 65 mph during the day on a two-lane road, and a maximum of 70 mph for any road. I would like to be able to put this in settings, so that Waze can come up with a better route and ETA for me. Increase the contrast / Change colors at the top + Larger alert when route changes
A couple of times I missed the change of route because the alert it too minimal. I drive with no waze sound, so I do not hear the change. I think this is a critical improvement because of the time you can loose when you miss the change. Thanks!

Maximal speed setting for each type of road
My employer wants me to respect the below maximal speed :
- 110 km/h when limited to 130 km/h,
- 100 km/h when limited to 110 km/h,
- 80 km/h on bidirectionnal road limited to 90km/h.
I would like to be able to define these parameters in order to optimize my route.4 votes -
Display actual GPS speed and not car’s info
When connected to CarPlay the speed on the supposedly gps speed in Waze always shows a 1km/h difference compared to that on the speedometer (at least in my case)
When NOT connected to CarPlay the difference is larger. At 90 km/h on the speedometer the speed in Waze is 85 km/h and at 140 the speed on Waze is 130. (Actual GPS speed)
When connecting to CarPlay a message says that the phone will use selected data from the car and this includes the car’s speed. However, this value is not accurate.

Alert for wrong way drivers on highways
Last night two drivers were killed by a wrong way driver On I93 north of Boston. I wonder if an alert on Waze that alert to a wrong way driver coming at you could have saved these lives. You need to ask yourself if this was your family would the cost to program be too much

Allow user to adjust the speed of audio/TTS annoucements (0.5x, 0.8x, 1x, 1.5x, 2x)
Spotify and YouTube allow users to control the speed of audios or videos.
You can play audios or videos at speeds of 0.5x, 0.8x, 1x, 1.5x, 2x and 3x.
I suggest the same should apply to Waze.
Audio or TTS announcements could be faster or slower depending on the user's preferences.

Make fully customizable alerts
You guys should make the alerts customizable. For example, I want to get the app to make a sound when I'm approaching a speed camera or something while above the speed limit. Now, if I set the sound as "Alerts" it only makes a sound when there's a speed bump which is useless because there are 6 street signs before every bump! Make a big list of all possible alerts and allow the user to choose what they want to define as alert deserving stuff

Speed that i should travel to reach from point A to B
I would like to see a feature that calculates the optimal travel speed that i should go from point A to point B, based on a specified arrival time at point B. Additionally, if the vehicle exceeds the maximum allowed speed, it should emit a continuous beep, similar to existing safety mechanisms.
This can see the block up ahead and do the math calculation and suggest us at what speed we should travel.

Waze should have Patch Notes for every update. Let Users know what has changed with each new version (dropped support, improved support etc)
Patch Notes, like those implemented in every online game in the past two decades, would drastically reduce User issue-reporting (with the app) due to misunderstanding of which Waze features are supported, which are not, which features have lost support and where etc.
Just every time the User updates the app, upon next sign-in, just flash a dialogue box with the latest patch notes (perhaps a link).
As an aside: the Help Center could be more clear and specific about how certain features (e.g., speed camera alerts) work. The exact parameters for getting audible speed camera alerts are not…

For police cameras alerts
This is very important, since it occured many times. You have to give option in police camera alerts, to choose at which distance to announce alert. Sometimes it announces very near to the police camera. Give options for example 2km, 1km, 500m etc. so drivers can choose. Also give another option to choose, in same area if settings, that will alert or not, on each specified distance (2km, 1km, 500m etc). Give another option to give continuous alert for speed cameras (instead of alerting on each of above distances), with intervals every 1second, 2 seconds......5 seconds. Also…
