Routes via faster alternate paths
I've noticed lately that Waze has been suggesting routes very similar to the routes suggested by Google Maps: through avenues and main streets that are most often jammed. Some time ago, Waze suggested smarter routes, avoiding traffic jams and going deeper into neighborhoods. The route was longer, but much faster. Today, he insists on passing only the main streets and this considerably increases the travel time. When the path is known I always follow the routes suggested in the past by Waze and 100% of the time I save between 5 to 10 minutes, which is…

Inverse locations on route
I would like to see one button to switch your starting location and ending destination location in traffic predictor maps. Specifically, I would use this feature to figure out how long it would take me to get back and forth from different locations at different times of day.
I current have to do this in a really time consuming fashion. For example. Say I’m looking up a friends house to stay at overnight and I want to know how long it’ll take me to get from work to their house in traffic. So I would search their address, and…

show public transportation routes
We're in a climate crisis and everybody should drive less when there are alternatives available.
Waze should help with that by suggesting Public Transportation or bicycle routes when selecting a destination, when those routes are viable alternatives (don't bother showing a 3h bus route for a 10 min drive).
This could be similar to Google Maps and use the same data.
Just by showing that there are alternatives, the user might be tempted to try them.
This might be specially useful when driving in cities that have car restrictions, dedicated bus lanes or good bicycle infrastructure that rivals…7 votes -
Add the option to Refresh the Routes offered when in view, or Auto-Refresh them
A few years ago I've asked for a quick button for showing alternative routes, which you've implemented, and for that I'm grateful.
This time I want to ask that the list of Routes be continuously updated, either automatically, or with a "Refresh" button at the top.
Most of the time when I drive to work I know the routes and don't need to look at the map, so I would like just the routes page to open - but it doesn't refresh and I need to keep going out of it and back into it to…9 votes -
Dangerous areas in Brazil
Unfortunately we have some problems about some dangerous areas... Another person got killed because of a bad route... http://g1.globo.com/rio-de-janeiro/noticia/2015/10/relembre-ataques-de-bandidos-do-rj-motoristas-e-passageiros-perdidos.html
I think waze could have an option to avoid these unsafe areas...1,125 votesGreat news! The feature to avoid high risk areas in Israel and Brazil is now available in Waze. Install the latest app version to check it out.

Easier access/access to changing routes
Currently not able to see what the 3 optional routes stand for. All i see are 3 different coloured lines with different routes.. Previously i remember showing a shortest route/shortest time and avoid toll routes.

how long to remain on this route
After entering a street, I would like to see Waze tell me how long I should be staying on this particular highway. So that shortly after it says "Turn right on I-490 east.", it would then say "Stay on I-490 for 7.3 miles, about 8 minutes."

Allow longer routes
Waze should really start to allow longer routes, if the money is a problem then there should be a additional subscription possible so people that want to go on longer commutes can do so. This just sucks, If you live in The Netherlands it's not even possible to navigate to the middle of France. So any work stuff there and also vacantions are impossible to navigate.
MAKE IT POSSIBLE! I'm sure I and alot of other people are willing to pay at the moments they need to do longer routes. Let's say 5/10 dollars for a month subscription…
103 votesGreat news! Starting from the last year it is now possible to build routes up to 1000 miles long. Happy cruising!

editing routes
I have a route, originally to a street address which I knew, to meet someone whose name I didn't know. Once I learned their name, I wanted to edit the route from the name of the small town where I was headed, to the name of the person I was meeting. I haven't found a way to do that without creating a new route. This seems like an easy modification.

reports
Bring back the reports feature. Having to enter a route is time consuming and is unnecessary if you know the area.

Map zoom annoying
OK. I love Waze, but certain things can be quite annoying.
I wanted to find an alternate route and had a few problems.
First, when I went to select an alternate route, Waze didn't give me enough info to be able to select the route I wanted. It just gave me the initial roads, but not cities that I normally would use to select a route waypoint.
The map showed cities that I was not very familiar with. (e.g. Washington DC to Allentown, PA did not show York, Lancaster or places I could identify)
And most annoying, I had…

Android auto usage: Last update is not ok at all. The route symbol is small and far, while it.s a button used often during the drive. The routes to be selecter have no longer different colors. It.s very hard to select the preferred route. The lanes are now in the most difficult corner to be observed, while again is something often to be used/seen. Please revert back everything.

toll prices in live map
On the web based live map, be able to see toll prices if the route provided has toll (and the toll pricing information is available already through the app)
26 votesThanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Stop changing routes automatically while I'm driving!
Waze needs to stop AUTOMATICALLY changing my route on me. It's frustrating especially when I chose the non-toll route on the way back. Then I look at the app and it's showing the route I did NOT choose!!

Include a railroad crossing information on map
Include a railroad crossing information on map will permit drivers to see where a road cross a railroad and the route machine may calculate a delay when a railroad crossing exists.

Restroom
Allow us to alert waze that we need to stop for a restroom and have it display (while still en route) the next closest stops, how far they are, how far off the route. This would especially help when on a long stretch of highway where there is no hope in sight for a bathroom break.
5 votesWaze allows for adding a stop on the route. By simply typing “Toilet” or “Restroom” in the search field you’ll get the needed results nearby.

Add arrive button
Sometimes when arriving at very large places, Waze thinks that you arrive only when you are in the front door of the place. Think for example in a mall, the parking lot will be huge, but Waze already traced the route until the front door.
An "arrive" button will help Waze to understand that you are already at your destination and there is no need to recalculate the route while you are looking for a parking spot9 votes
