1. prevent fake police control alert by comparing standstill postion of the wazer and a police control

   Some police agent use waze account to create fake alerts randomly or to say "control not here anymore" when they are doing control. These wazers can be identified by the system simply.
   If a police agent uses waze, his location is tracked by the server. If a police agent is using waze while doing a control, his position will be standstill until a normal wazer spot him. So there will be an alert at the place the police control is located. The waze server can record these habits and conclude the user is a cop and limit his actions.

2. The vehicle speed set to 0 and map display jumps on GPS blinds spots

   The Speed Problem:
   I noticed that when the car enters a cave my speed per hour gets reset back to 0 and when I leave the cave it goes back.

   Plus - The Map Display Problem:
   When I get inside the cave the map display feature of the car/arrow icon stops working:
   (the car/arrow icon would stop moving and then jump back to the end of the cave when I leave).

   I believe that the map feature and speed is working by gps to locate the vehicle location and time to calculate the speed which makes the car km/h / m/h to be not accurate:
   Meaning that when I enter a blind spot from gps, the car location won't be changed and the map display of the car would just stay put ,
   Plus - When the car location is not changing then the cars speed would be set to 0 by the calculation cause it's using only the location change over time.

   My solution to this problem is to make an option which you can take the speed from the car itself without having the trouble of calculating it yourself. -

   Most people of this time have already made the switch to electric vehicles which have the base "computer" inside of them which shows the driver their speed and allows them to download certain apps to their vehicle such as Spotify and Itunes.
   Plus - For some of those vehicles the Waze app could be added.
   Meaning that the Waze app would be able to request from the car the ability to track its speed.

   With this solution we can find out exactly at what speed the car is driving at all times without worrying about calculations.

   With this information we can also know roughly the exact location of the car.
   How do we do it?
   Simple. We just take the speed of the car and multiply it with the time that has passed.
   For example:
   Speed = 90km/h
   We would place a constant variable for the Time to be 1 Second that would not change ( it would mean that the map display would change every 1 second)
   Then:
   We calculate it by this equation:
   Distance = Speed in km/h * Time in hours

   For our example:
   First we need to change it from km/h to m/h:
   90 / 3.6 = 25 m/s
   Then Distance = Speed * Time:
   Distance = 25m/s * 1s
   Distance = 25 meters

   After that we can know the distance the car traveled the past second, and we can add it to the map along the road.
   And I know what you all think.
   WHAT IF the Car driver choose to reverse or change a path in the middle of the road.
   And that's why this function would ONLY work where there is no connection to GPS, and then when we get back connection to GPS the car would jump back to the location from the GPS.

   There for we can now know the exact location of the car on the road, Plus - we can know its speed at any given time(NOTE: This feature could replace the current way of speed tracking on any road).

   Another Solution IF we can't use the vehicle speed:
   We can also use the vehicle speed for the past 5 seconds before going into the blind spot + use other cars past records speeds of driving in that road and the speed numbers of vehicle users there are on the same road at the moment, and get the average speed of all of them.
   The way we can know the speed of vehicle users who drove this road in the past?:
   Simple,
   we just do the exact same equation from before just placing the time as the time they spent on the road and the distance of the road.

   And then we know the speed and we can find the location of the vehicle on the map just like we did before.

4. User Interface - Alert Visibility

   My eyesight is not as great as it once was, so the prompts for alerts to indicate if a hazard or alert is still present is a bit difficult to see. I would suggest it be enlarged to occupy most of the screen with a slightly transparent background. The bottom half of the screen could be green for a “Not There” button and the top half of the screen be yellow for “Hazard Still Present”. With the enlarged notification it should increase driver safety and engagement as well since it would be easier to read and more prominent.

5. Consecutive alerts within a short distance

   At the moment, the Waze app provides alerts (such as hazard reports or speed/red light camera) approximately 400-500m away from the location. After driving past the report or camera, Waze doesn't check if there are any further alerts in the next 400-500m and as such, drivers miss out on this information.

   An example is at the first traffic light, there is a red light camera, however after turning, the next traffic light (assuming it is relatively close/within 500m) also has a red light camera. Drivers currently only receive one alert for the first red light camera but not for the second red light camera.

   I am hoping to see if Waze can make updates to their alerting system that after the reports or camera alerts disappear from screen, to do an additional check in the next 500m to see if there are any nearby alerts that are important.

6. Shorter Alert Sounds

   I often listen to podcasts while driving but get frustrated when the Waze alerts are long and tend to block the audio of the podcasts. Could we get a custom voice that says simply "Traffic" instead of "Heavy Traffic Reported Ahead", etc.

7. Premium user / tipping users for correctly placed speed traps

   It would be nice to give some incentive to users to actually use correctly this app.

   What do i mean by that?

   1. The first and most dangerous obviously it is a speed trap. I would give immediately my half of speeding ticket to users that saved me from that.
   2. More users would be drawn to the Waze and we could have more information, because there is a reward for being useful
   3. We could have hotspots, that means, zones where is frequently reported some police activity, even if it isn't reported today, beware it might be something.

   I would happily pay monthly subscription for better service, after all you have to pay fines and lose your licence, what is some monthly fee for better info?

8. Louder speed limit exceeded sound for moborbike riders

   I can't hear the "speed limit exceeded" sound at all on my motorbike, so it is essentially not something I can use.

   It would be nice if that was louder for those who have selected they are on a motorbike, to match the volume of the voice (or else, an option to make it louder).

9. Need for voice notifications about fixed speed limits while we get warnings about upcoming radars

   Hi. It could be very helpful if Waze could notify us by voice about the speed limit fixed for the given situation while it warns us about upcoming radars. This could tremendously help the drivers to control the speed without being distracted or in cases they did not notice the speed signs. In many countries, the drivers suffer the deficit of speed signs which can be very confusing and results in payments of high fines. Thanks

10. New circle after doubling the speed limit

    Hello there, this is just a suggestion I have about a cool feature that you could add to the app! So, a few days ago I was in a road and noticed on my Waze that if, for example, the road limit is 90 kn/h, the red dots will form a circle and fulfill it at double the speed limit. And to test it I went beyond double, and when I checked I was very disappointed that the red dots just stop and stand at that position. As I told that to a few friends they also got very disappointed and we all thought it would be an amazing addition to this app If, when you go past double the speed limit, the red dots change to another color, for example, a bright purple, and continued to form the next circle, going up to its double!

    And I know that now you're thinking, what a stupid thing, why would you even go more than twice the speed limit, that's crazy. And yes I could agree to that if it wasn't for the fact that in my country, and I'm sure others too, there are open roads that could easily be highways, all straight and large, limited to 70/80 km/h. So yeah. Sorry to bother, that's all.

11. Urgent hint to improve waze fast and easy and get many new users!

    How? Speed camera alert (warning) is one of the best and attractive reasons to use waze especially for new users, that have already integrated or portable navigation systems. Mobile (!) Speed traps (cameras, but also radar guns etc.) are the traps, users have the most fear of. But most existing users of waze, who wants to report a mobile (!) speed trap mix up the confusing camera icon with the police (officer) icon, especially in the german version, where the camera icon is named "Blitzer" (means: "flash"). They report mobile speed traps (in german also named as blitzer; there is also a famous, good app with this name). Therefore many mobile speed trap reports will not be shown in time in the waze map view and are therefore lost. Possible fast solution: Please change the icon for speed cameras or remove it or rename it at least in the german language version. New unknown fixed speed cameras are very rare and experienced wazer can add them to the waze map manually without using the report interface in the app. Alternatively give new waze users at the first start of waze a distinct hint, that mobile (!) speed traps have to be reported with the police icon. Another solution is already posted here. Change the options of the camera icon to report also mobile speed traps instead of using the police icon.

    A report after each trip, useful to plan the return or the next travel, or even to control the driver by family or company. Containing max speed, medium speed, total distance, stops, stopped time, graphs with time/speeds, disrespect of speed limits when available... Showed at Waze and by e-mail.

13. Option to turn off alerts for road construction

    I can choose to toggle Road Constructions on or off for "Display On Map."

    I would like to be able to toggle off alerts for Road Constructions, specifically, under "Alerts on Route."

    Driving in Minnesota in the summer, it is a given that there will be road construction everywhere. It's nice to be able to see it on the map, and have the app use the information in its routing calculations, but I don't need an alert to tell me that it is there. It interrupts whatever else I am listening to, and it is not necessary to alert me about something that is so prevalent.

14. Allow User to Disable Alert for Roadworks

    There is currently only an option to "Show on Map" for roadworks.
    This also generates the full visual and audio alert which comes on top of everything else.
    The only way to stop it is to disable roadworks altogether.
    Please add option to choose to have the roadworks on the map, but to not be alerted

15. i have used waze for years, but getting a new car the speed waze shows a always off by about 35%. is there a way to correct the speed shown.

16. Slowpoke Driver

    Include under the Hazard option "Slowpoke Driver in Speed/Passing Lane Traveling Under 60 mph" to alert other drivers like me who find this a daily nuisance as it adds to the traffic problem driving in Los Angeles freeways

17. Have waze alert the driver of area's where speeding fines are higher than normal such as highway safety cooridors.

    Waze would be super helpful to alert you both by voice and on the screen when a driver is in a area with higher than normal speeding fines such as highway safety corridor which are permanent and dont change. Other related use would be road construction that is temorary but fines are posted higher until construction is complete.

    This morning I was caught in a traffic jam in which we traveled 1 mile in 24 minutes. The app was showing travel speed for the area of 8-12 mph at the time because of the number of vehicles exiting the traffic jam to turn around or cutting out of the traffic through side streets. This causes inaccuracy in the eta and may have resulted in routes 'b' or 'c' being faster. Since the GPS is estimated based on location is it not possible to make a change to the system that removes one car length of distance from the speed calculation for each vehicle turning a full 180 degrees to back track.

20. More voice warning before freeway exits, regardless of speed

    I noticed that the location of the voice instruction you hear before a freeway exit varies based on how fast you're going.
    Around 100 km/h, you get the voice instruction 1.5 kilometres before your exit.
    Around 80 km/h, you get the voice warning about 1 km before the exit.
    Around 60 km/h, you get the warning just 300 metres before the exit.

    It's the last one that I think is a problem. Some drivers rely mostly on the voice instructions either because we don't have a phone stand or because of restrictive laws regarding phone use while driving. And if you're on a freeway that has, say, 5 or more lanes, then regardless of what speed you're going at, 300 metres of warning before the exit simply isn't enough. The driver might suddenly have to dart across 5 or more lanes in 300 metres just to make their exit, and that's far too dangerous.

    Even at lower speeds, especially for roads with many lanes, such as freeways, Waze voice instructions should give greater warning before the next turn or exit - e.g. 1 or 1.5 km in advance, like we already get at higher speeds.
