Parking Meter Risk alert
Use crowdsourced data on where and when people see meter maids or get parking tickets so users know the risk of not paying a meter at that time and place. For example if you need to stop into a place for 20 minutes or less, and the risk of ticket is low, you feel better not paying the meter.

Police alerts should be added to voice alerts (in alert only mode)- this cost me a driving ticket!
In “alerts only” sound mode I do not get police notification, only Speedtrap (stationary traps) so dynamic user-generated police notifications are not notified- this cost me a speeding ticket -+ driving school last week!

User Interface - Alert Visibility
My eyesight is not as great as it once was, so the prompts for alerts to indicate if a hazard or alert is still present is a bit difficult to see. I would suggest it be enlarged to occupy most of the screen with a slightly transparent background. The bottom half of the screen could be green for a “Not There” button and the top half of the screen be yellow for “Hazard Still Present”. With the enlarged notification it should increase driver safety and engagement as well since it would be easier to read and more prominent.

Control how much time an alert appears before the event.
It will be great to have an option to control how much time before an event, it would alert us.
When you are at a highway, the alert appears 2 or 3 seconds before the event.
I think we should choose between 2 seconds and 30 seconds before events.1 vote -
Have waze alert the driver of area's where speeding fines are higher than normal such as highway safety cooridors.
Waze would be super helpful to alert you both by voice and on the screen when a driver is in a area with higher than normal speeding fines such as highway safety corridor which are permanent and dont change. Other related use would be road construction that is temorary but fines are posted higher until construction is complete.

Option to disable route recalculating alert. That nerve wracking chirp is driving me crazy!
Whoever approved that grating & obnoxious squawking route recalculation alarm should be fired. I drive a cab and even my customers cringe when they hear it and say "what's that awful noise". PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LET US TURN IT OFF! Alerts only should mean alerts only. Hearing that damn noise screech and grate 5 times when I'm driving through a parking lot is maddening!

When showing „Routes”, to be able to select „best average-speed route”
When showing „Routes”, to be able to select „best average-speed route”, because many drivers prefer a longer but a more pleasant drive to a shorter but full of stops and traffic jams one. Driving faster is part of the pleasure of driving.
Especially in very busy areas, this option would be more than welcomed.
Driving is a pleasure per se, but not if you just stay in line, stuck in traffic jams.4 votes -

Police alerts
My request is that you create another alert option which is police alerts alone. That is, the options should be: sound on, alerts, police only alerts, and no alerts. For me, the only real alert that I care about is if there are police or speed cameras.
When I use your app, I typically silence alerts because I don't want to hear about cars stopped on the side of the road and approaching railways, etc. I understand that's important to some people, but for me it just interrupts my music/podcast.

i have used waze for years, but getting a new car the speed waze shows a always off by about 35%. is there a way to correct the speed shown.

prevent fake police control alert by comparing standstill postion of the wazer and a police control
Some police agent use waze account to create fake alerts randomly or to say "control not here anymore" when they are doing control. These wazers can be identified by the system simply.
If a police agent uses waze, his location is tracked by the server. If a police agent is using waze while doing a control, his position will be standstill until a normal wazer spot him. So there will be an alert at the place the police control is located. The waze server can record these habits and conclude the user is a cop and limit his actions.4 votes -

Suppress Repeat of Long-term Alerts
Suppress repeat audio alerts for "long-term alerts" such as red-light cameras. User to press a squelch button on the alert pop-up, so that subsequent drive by the same location won't trigger the audio alert.
This annoys me some, but my wife absolutely HATES it when Ms Waze blurts out "red light camera ahead" on the roads we travel every day. The squelch button would enable me to not only squelch Ms Waze, but also would make our marriage more enjoyable!
Those who like to hear the incessant warnings would simply not press the squelch for any given …

Assigning a custom voice to alerts
Could it be possible to assign a custom voice to an alert? E.g. to assign a short police car siren to a police alert, or to upload another own voice to a another alert?

Speedo meter, cam alerts,
The speedometer on the map plus the road speed limit is below on the phone. Speed cam alerts are show in the below part of the screen. While riding a motorcycle (superbike) i have to literally look down to see the speed taking my eyes off the road. This is dangerous. Please place speedo meter with speed limit indication on the top of screen or give an option like a layout to choose from. Let's block people who usually take signs with fake alerts. I wish a personal, editable black list to collect bad guys and avoid me from their fake alerts. Thanks!

Mph and metres for directions.
It’s very simple. Two toggle options. To change the speed unit to mph for the speed limit but be able to keep the directions in metres for those shorter turnings and directions in town. In England we use mph and how many miles to but after that we commonly talk about metres. So I am asking for another option so that people can customise the speed limit alerts and the distance to alerts.
