To have options to report unsafe areas (Eg.South Africa - Riots) so that tourists and people unaware don't drive into said areas
I am from South Africa and unfortunately we often have riots and there are areas that aren't safe to drive. It would be good to have an option that allows this to be highlighted or reported (as we do with traffic) so people that are unaware don't intentionally drive into dangerous areas.

What if something like life 360 was incorporated into waze. Then you can see where your family and friends are in real time..

Delete planned drive
Make it possible to delete planned drives from Waze that are automatically synced from your calendar of from Facebook. I don't need reminders on when to leave for some events.

Ability to name drive plan
The ability to plan the drive and get the notification to leave on time is super helpful but I wish I could name them without plan it in the calendar event to have it named.

Sharing Routes With Friends
The sharing tool from Whatsapp is not so accurate, so it would be very nice to have something to like that but functional. The main idea is an option that you could save the actual route that you're running and export this to your friends, it would be very useful for trips to countryside and rural areas.And in urban areas sometimes you may not want the shorter or the faster way but the safer way. - general

Scenic drive routes
There are scenic drive routes in some cities around the world. I am in San Francisco and SF has a 49 miles Scenic Drive that we need to follow a bird sign. Sometimes we lost it and have to return back. My idea is to Waze navegante from where I am to the nearest location where the Scenic Route is and then continue to this Scenic Route until where I started. this route. Please bring back in app notification & icon that someone is watching our drive.
A couple of app updates ago we lost the written notification and icon on the map that shows that someone is watching our drive. Any plans to bring this back? When I send a link to follow my drive to a non-Wazer, it was helpful to know someone clicked on the link, particularly when coordinating a meeting spot and time. Please consider bringing this back!

There should be an option from group pages allowing you to invite your friends to the group.

Drive only if necessary alert
The "Drive only if necessary" alert screen could have the OK and Close App button, to encourage the user to close the App and not drive without extreme need.

Simple access to your Waze friends would be nice
One of the great features of Waze was simply adding (Facebook) friends who where using Waze also. When driving to a concert or Hotel or whatever with friends you didn't have to share your Waze with every individual Waze user but when de destination was identical you could simply share/view eachothers Progress.
Why google removed the Facebook feature is a kind of obvious but removing the entire feature is very sad and makes Waze less attractive.2 votes -
Planned drive with expected weather forecast
At least once a year I go on a drive 800km drive during a period when the weather could be questionable, I generally look at the weather in major points along my route several days in advance to determine if we need to leave early or perhaps late to avoid weather. This year we left a couple of hours before a major storm, but managed to stay ahead of it.
I would like to see a planning mode where I could potentially input my planned destination into Waze a couple of weeks before my planned trip, along with my earliest…

I HATE the scoreboard change. Please display points needed for next level and friends scores, not strangers. Not a well thought out process

Drive History to include milage data on each trip
It would be so very useful to have the mileage total featured on each drive within the “Drive History” section.
It would be the perfect solution for someone like me logging miles for work and doing my already boring accounts.

Plan a drive
Could there be more time increments to plan my drive, like every 5 minutes instead of every 15 minutes. In my city the traffic changes from one minute to the other.

Fix the follow my friend, it used to show the icon and how far. Also bring back the moving icon on the follow my friend drive
The map used to have a feature that would have a friends icon that would move on the map instead of every 5 or 10 minutes. Also can you fix the follow my friend on the home map that used to show as a icon of your friend on the right side along with their status if there trip.

Reminder when entering uk to drive on Left
At start of journey when in UK to drive on left if you are French user and vice versa for uk users when driving in Europe.

Cambridge MA Memorial Drive closings
The Waze app never accounts for a routine road closure on Memorial Drive in Cambridge, MA, which occurs Sundays 11am-7pm from late April to early November. This creates chaos as the app continues to try to direct users back to this route. When trying to schedule a drive and the destination selected can't be reached today... the all will loop indefinitely.
