  1. Audible warning for speed cameras even if you're under the speed limit

If you're going under the speed limit you don't get an audible warning for a speed camera. If the camera is after a limit change you may be under the limit when approaching but you can then accelerate above the limit and have no warning.

Hallo, I'm an Italian "very young" Wazer and I have a suggestion: to make Waze warn us ALWAYS when exceeding speed limits , regardless of the proximity of a camera. It could be possibly done by changing the colour of the speed icon (i.e., for example from gray to yellow and then red) to make the message very intuitive , without compel us to distract to read the small numbers on the icon.
    Thanks.

  4. Driving with speed limitation, caravans for example.

    Dear Waze Team,

First of all, thank you for an outstanding app that continues to improve travel experiences worldwide. I’d like to suggest a feature that would greatly benefit drivers who tow caravans or trailers – or who, for any reason, are legally required to drive at lower speeds than regular traffic.

Currently, Waze assumes standard vehicle behavior and speed limits. However, in many countries (such as across Europe), towing a trailer legally restricts drivers to lower speeds – often 80 km/h on highways, regardless of the posted limit. This discrepancy affects both estimated time of arrival…

  5. Swap the speed limit & notifications on the map

Swap the speed limit & notifications on the map. The speed limit should be in the circle (opaque) and actual speed in the b&w box. Reading the circle is difficult for actual speed.

  6. Adjustable maximum speed

For enviromental reasons i drive slower than the maximum allowed speed. Would be great if you could enter your maximum speed into waze in order to adjust your ETA

Great news! This feature is already available in Waze. It’s called Personalized ETA.

Personalized ETA setting is turned on in Settings – Navigation – Personalized ETA. Waze would analyze the drives you took in the past, calculate how long it took you to drive sections of the route, and compare this information with Waze’s estimates. Then, it uses this info to personalize your ETA whenever you search a route in Waze.

Important: Waze won’t analyze drives that you delete from your drive history. Deleting drives may disable Waze from personalizing your ETA until you take more drives.

  7. Speed limit

Is there a way to add a button for reduce speed because on my trip to Texas the speed limit changed three times on one road

  8. Check time based turn restrictions during recalculation

Waze doesn't seem to take time based restrictions into account as it recalculates. When you start the drive it might be OK to make a turn, but a 5 minute delay would make the turn illegal. As Waze updates the ETA it should also check that turns remain legal.

  10. Distance / speed based voice guidance directions

It used to be you can select how far from a turn or direction for guidance could be selected. You removed this quite some time ago. There used to be three or so options to choose from.

I believe the distance options were 1400/1200 feet.; 750 feet; & 200 feet or something like this. This would be good because sometimes it takes to long to get the direction or it tells me too late or too far away.

Or maybe make it speed dependent. That way if I slow down it's because I'm close and looking or if…

  11. Add some custom "speed threshold"

Waze always, by default, process the average "maximum speed" ETA for any route. I always respect speed limits, and on every ride, I lose minutes on the initial schedulded ETA.

I'd like to add some threshold to allow Waze to be more accurate.

  12. Max speed prediction

When navigating and in areas where max speed data is available, show next max speed change.
    Eg. max speed: 90 km/h > in 200 metres: 50 km/h

  13. Speed limit alert

    Hey Waze

I have a proposal that I think would help with traffic safety. You have already created a speed alert. The problem today is that it only gives an alarm once in a speed zone. To get a new alarm, you need to enter a new speed zone. I thought it might be a good idea to make it possible for you to choose to get an alarm as long as you drive too fast, and that you can choose the alarm tone and volume. In android auto, the speedometer is placed on the right side of the…

  14. Optimal Speed Suggestion

If there's a big traffic jam at a point 2/3 of the way to my destination, it may not help me get there on time if I drive at full speed or over the speed limit up to the point of the jam. Waze could set my suggested driving speed lower for a more even pace over the course of the trip. In some cases, a lower driving speed may help me conserve fuel (and thereby create a smaller carbon footprint) and if many drivers use this we may see safer roads as fewer people speed around rushing to get…

  15. In Mexico, show the speed limit of the street, ave, blvd you will take.

As there are new speed limits and cameras for fines, it would be helpful to know the speed limit of each street

  16. Notorious speed trap locations/communities

There any number of notorious locations or communities that appear to prey on out of town drivers by placing hidden speed traps and adhering to exact speed limits. The locals know of them and even worse the local cops smile and wave at the same locals "speeding". By contrast they seem to relish going after out of town folks who are not likely or able to dispute a speeding ticket. Some sort of warning to unknowing folks that any speed beyond the speed limit puts you at risk.

  17. Time Based Restrictions, can we make this happen guys?

"No left turn between 7am and 10 am."
"Do not enter between 3pm and 6pm."

There are thousands of these signs in hundreds of cities all over the US. Can't we allow for local map editors to save time based restrictions into the map?

  19. Spastic speed limit display

Since the last updates the speed limit seems to go spastic popping in & out. Example: PA Turnpike speed limit is 70 mphs. Cruise control set to 70 , going down hills speed increases to 70.5. Speed limit sign goes nuts - in & out. Not enough hysteresis. Distracting

  20. Speed Camera Reports throughout an Average Speed Check Zone

When I’m alerted that i’m in an average speed check zone, I tend to get notified every 20-30 seconds of a camera as part of that zone. It gets repetitive and quite annoying as I know that I need to remain within that speed limit until i’m notified that I have left the average speed check zone. It’s just a suggestion but would it make more sense if speed camera alerts were removed whilst in an average speed check zone?
