Provide an audio option to warn of approaching speed cameras when below the speed limit.
There are motorways in the UK with variable speed limits. Speed limit can change from the default of 70 mph down to 40 mph
It would therefore be very useful have an audio warning when approaching a speed camera. This option is available on Tomtom

In Canada need Waze to verbally alert to speed camera approaching no matter if over the speed limit or not.
Have Waze ALWAYS verbally alert when approaching a speed camera no matter if the driver is over the speed limit or not.

Lower speed threshold setting
All of the speed threshold settings are for at or above the speed limit. By the time the alert goes off I am already breaking the speed limit. It would be nice to set a threshold like 3 or 5 mph below the speed limit to prevent ever going over.

Notifications for Roads with Variable Speed Limits
Lots of UK motorways have variable speed limits. Obviously these change a lot so there’s no way we can have a live map of them, but as you go on to a road with a variable speed limit it would be nice to get a notification saying something like “Entering Variable Speed Limit Area. The legal speed limit may be different to the limit shown in Waze.” Another useful notification could be on the approach to traffic or around reported broken down cars, a notification asking the lines of “Hazard/Traffic reported on the road ahead, pay attention to Variable …

Personal speed limit for electric cars
As I recently done 800 miles with my zoe, I found that the fastest route is not actual fast.
Generally, best range can be achieved by keeping speed around 56 mph at motorway for an electric car.However, route optimisation has been done based on the top speed of the route unless there is a traffic.
Therefore, if we can have personalised top speed, we might different route.
5 votesGreat news! This feature is already available in Waze. It’s called Personalized ETA.
Personalized ETA setting is turned on in Settings – Navigation – Personalized ETA. Waze would analyze the drives you took in the past, calculate how long it took you to drive sections of the route, and compare this information with Waze’s estimates. Then, it uses this info to personalize your ETA whenever you search a route in Waze.
Important: Waze won’t analyze drives that you delete from your drive history. Deleting drives may disable Waze from personalizing your ETA until you take more drives.

Alerts covering the speed limit icon
As my car doesn't have Android auto, I have to connect my phone and mirror the screen in landscape orientation onto the car infotainment display.
With the new update, the Speed limit icon gets covered when a speed camera notification pops up. I use waze alot in the UAE
Please fix this.

Option to Remove Speed Cameras on the Other Side of the Road
I would like the option to Remove Speed Cameras on the Other Side of the Road. This should be a simple fix within the settings and would allow for less confusion when driving on a motorway. I’m often caught out by speed cameras and slowing right down from the speed limit to well below it so there’s not chance of me being fined. However, I do this for all speed camera alerts even when they are on the other side of the road just to be safe. It would be so much more pleasant to disable other side of the…

Speed trap
Speed trap notification should ALWAYS sound. If you are not over the speed limit, you risk accelerating before the trap and getting a fine.
Other alerts sound at any circumstance. At least, give the option to activate always on notificatios for speed traps.13 votes -
Add speed limit to Spotify Waze-bar, would work in CarPlay
Waze for CarPlay would be great. But while waiting for that to happen, maybe you could add speed limit to the Waze directions bar in Spotify? I could get both directions and speed limits in my car kitted with CarPlay that way since Spotify works with CarPlay.

Allow users to suggest speed limit corrections
Currently, speed limits on the map can only be updated by map editors. This process is slow, especially when the main source of information, like Google Street View, is outdated. This leads to inaccurate speed limits or missing data on many road segments.
This suggestion is to add a new reporting option that allows any user to suggest a correction to the speed limit. This would not directly change the speed limit on the map, but it would create a "pending edit" for map editors to review and approve.

Show speed limit only in Android Auto
I have a speedometer in my car that I can look at to see how fast in going. I don't need that. Just show the speed limit... By itself.. as it sits now it's just plain silly, it's like 1/16 of an inch and no way to get rid of the speedometer.

Excellent recent update. Howerver, it would be such a helpful and nice addon where user can set max speed alert/alarm when it's reached. Plus posted speed limits on major roads/freeways.

Tweeks on your max speed alerts
Two comments on your speed limit alert. 1st, the sound alert is barely audible and not continous while still speeding. 2nd, when I slowed down after exeeding the speed limit, then I speed up again, I get no audio alert that I exeeded the speed limit again. 3rd, maybe you can add an option as to when I will get notified of speeding. Like maybe before I reach a percentage of the max speed I can get notified already. Thanks and more power to you guys.

insufisant speed limit notification
Hello and Happy New Year to all.
It remains for me 2 major gaps for waze and one interesting improvement.
- The sound alert only when over speeding is insuffisant and already cost me 1pt on my licence when I accelerate to overtake. ..
You can not look at the screen constantly we must keep an eye on the road. Then configurable audible signal for danger zones is therefore indispensable.

Bring back "wrong speed limit" report
I'm using Apple CarPlay if that changes anything.
Some years ago, I could report "wrong speed limit". Now there is no report button like this and it causes the entire reporting worflow much longer: I report a general issue, then someone finds it, asks me what the issue is about (and I don't always remember if it was about the limit), and then I reply and they fix it. It could be just 1 click and then someone fixes it - much faster!

What happened to the ability to report an incorrect speed limit?
Up until the last update, we could report an incorrect speed limit under Map Issues. Now there are lots of other, new issues we can report on, but the speed limit is no longer one of them.

Speed alert for 2 mph over limit
Currently, you can select an alert if you are going above the speed limit (at all) or 5 mph over the limit.
I would like to suggest 2 mph.
5 mph is too much because by then, a cop will almost surely give a ticket without mercy. 5 mph over the limit is usually the informal grace limit.
But an alert for any mph over the limit is too sensitive. Even on cruise control, my car sometimes exceeds the limit by a fraction of a mph when I begin to go downhill. It takes a second for the…
