Re-Organize Speed Trap Buttons
When editing the map a lot of stationary speed traps are reported but not approved. They are reported on positions where mobile speed traps (Police notifications) are / would be. As a user who only uses the client I would first go to speed trap and report it instead of reporting a police hazard. The result is, that this trap is not reported unless it is approved. Tweeks on your max speed alerts
Two comments on your speed limit alert. 1st, the sound alert is barely audible and not continous while still speeding. 2nd, when I slowed down after exeeding the speed limit, then I speed up again, I get no audio alert that I exeeded the speed limit again. 3rd, maybe you can add an option as to when I will get notified of speeding. Like maybe before I reach a percentage of the max speed I can get notified already. Thanks and more power to you guys.

Swap the speed limit & notifications on the map
Swap the speed limit & notifications on the map. The speed limit should be in the circle (opaque) and actual speed in the b&w box. Reading the circle is difficult for actual speed.

New speed alert mode
It would be nice if app can get something like new speed limit mode, allerting us (by sound) every 1/2/3 sec about excessed speed limit all the time, until car decrease speed. It will be very helpfull to avoid tickets and points but especially make road more safety.

Current speed yellow when approaching turn too fast
App displays speed colour to yellow on turns.
In Australia we have advice sign posts "yellow triangle" that suggest
a comfortable speed for a corner (on corners that are closer to hair-pin than straight).The route navigation current speed would show white (normal), yellow (over suggested speed) or Red (over legal speed limit)
Some possibilities:
- Waze servers auto assign "suggested speed" value based an approximation of centripetal force that considered angle between two segment "points" and ignores slope.

Known Speed Traps
Would like that we have “known speed traps” integrated into the map section. For example if me and 100 other wazers pass a certain location everyday and we ping it as a speed trap the data should be collected until the app knows this is a speed trap and should become a known speed trap on the map. I think the same should be done with tag readers cops are known to read tags in certain areas by sitting in the median, ramps etc

Alert about speed cameras even when not speeding.
Currently, with speed camera alerts enabled, the alert only activates when speeding while approaching a speed camera. An option to display the alert regardless of current speed would be beneficial.

Lane based time estimates / estimated times based on destinations, exit ramp backups
This one's a tricky one to explain. Sometimes, I'm on a highway, and Waze's suggested route goes out onto a very backed-up exit ramp that backs up a half-mile before the actual exit ramp begins, occuping the right lane of the road, even while the other travel lanes are moving at full speed.
I'm trying to figure out if this skews the traffic routing and travel time estimations. Yes, the highway is backed up and traveling at 2 MPH, but only in the right lane where that exit is backed up half a mile. If you're in…

have a countdown of kilometres based on the speed limit when going into a tunnel
Any time you drive into a tunnel that goes underground the GPS thinks you’re above the ground and starts changing the directions as it thinks you’re above the ground on the Street level when underground in the tunnel so if you need to then go 20 km in the tunnel and there’s various exits. How do you know how far you’ve driven in order to get to your exit underground when it’s recalculating because it thinks you’re above the ground and never figures it out that you’re actually still in the tunnel. Kindly include a prompt that notifies you when you're transitioning into a new speed limit area. Let the user choose if they would like to be notified if a new speed limit zone has been entered.

Speed traps notifications
Early notifications about speed traps inform you whenever you are in the area of the speed trap.
But now, if you are entering the speed trap area at the allowed speed, they don’t inform you about it, even if you are entered at the allowed speed, but increase your speed in this area.8 votes -
Distance / speed based voice guidance directions
It used to be you can select how far from a turn or direction for guidance could be selected. You removed this quite some time ago. There used to be three or so options to choose from.
I believe the distance options were 1400/1200 feet.; 750 feet; & 200 feet or something like this. This would be good because sometimes it takes to long to get the direction or it tells me too late or too far away.

Verbally Say Speed Limit on Road
Waze needs to say what the speed limit is on the road verbally. It is dangerous to look down at the phone screen for the speed limit when it is not posted on the road, and you have no idea what it is, especially for those who have difficulty reading small print.

Gather police present reports from drivers and develop a warning for areas on roads where police usually set up speed traps. Create a speed trap button for user input.

Time based lane guidance
Atm you can't set Lane Guidance based on time. Unfortunately this is an inconvenience in places like Melbourne, Victoria, Australia where certain lanes change depending on the time of the day.

I have a proposal that I think would help with traffic safety. You have already created a speed alert. The problem today is that it only gives an alarm once in a speed zone. To get a new alarm, you need to enter a new speed zone.
