allow mute one kind of alert
i.e. when much people is reporting fog the alert is received every few meters.

Distance / speed based voice guidance directions
It used to be you can select how far from a turn or direction for guidance could be selected. You removed this quite some time ago. There used to be three or so options to choose from.
I believe the distance options were 1400/1200 feet.; 750 feet; & 200 feet or something like this. This would be good because sometimes it takes to long to get the direction or it tells me too late or too far away.
Or maybe make it speed dependent. That way if I slow down it's because I'm close and looking or if I'm going…

Drawbridge Alert - Beta test a citizen based alert that lets drivers know if there is a scheduled bridge opening
We have a historic drawbridge that backs traffic up for sometimes over and hour. Could we beta test a citizen based alert that lets drivers know if the bridge is scheduled to open so that drivers could take alt route, to alleviate traffic? Bridge openings can be determined by monitoring marine VHF radio channel 9. Locals listening could log in and alert drivers and cyclists that there is an upcoming opening.

Indicator Alert
I would like to be informed through voice when i need to put the indicators while driving. I am thinking it would be exactly middle between the first alert and the final alert for an exit / when making left/right turn from the main/sub roads. Off course i understand this indicator alert needs to be made considering many factors.
I believe it will help for safe driving in both ways 1) for the driver to put at the right time the indicators making a switch 2) Also to help the car behind to rightly judge about the car in front.

Portuguese - Seria muito útil criar um alerta de ciclistas e pedestres que estão transitando nos acostamentos das rodovias. Seria mais util ainda se o Wase pudesse acessar o banco de dados do Strava e automaticamente informasse que há "ciclistas a frente". Certamente os wazers alertariam da existência de ciclistas ou pedestres nas rodovias que representam perigo de atropelamento.

Alert selection
there's a feature to have alerts only, but not one to have directions only. This seems so obvious. Even better would be to select which alerts you're notified about. The vehicle on shoulder seems to be abused by those seeking to collect points. Police and objects on road are important, but rarely is a vehicle on the shoulder a legitimate hazard.

What if...
You want to go to a place, but you don't need to go any time soon, so you plan ahead, and say:
When I drive close to "this" place, I'll stop by.
So what I want is this:
I tell Waze, I'll need to get to "X" place.

In the US we have quite zones. Add them to the map and alert when approaching.

Gas running OUT Alert
waze should have an input DIOLOG were the user will intro his vehicle gas autonomy let s say my car will run 220 km on a full tank , when the vehicle riches 180 km waze will VOICE ALERT THAT REFILL MAY BE NEEDED and automatically will show nearest gas station

Hazard reporting wrong way driver, amber alert popup
Send an alert to people in the area of a wrong way driver. Similar to Amber alerts. Notification system for amber alert would reach more people in an area. Suggestion to pull over would reduce the number of accidents

next service station - distance/time
On a long drive it'd be handy to be able to see:-
"Service station 1 - 3miles/5mins"

Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Currently Not Planned, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.

Turn off construction alert - bug and improvement
There are other suggestions for this but some are old so I am also adding a new one. The audible alerts for costruction and not at all helpful and very annoying. I have selected to not show alerts for construction yet they show on the map. One zone near me has up to 5 different alerts from people throughout the construction zone, including a spot where the "End Road Work" sign is visible. I get it, people (hopefully passengers) are bored and play with the app. But the audible warnings interrupt my music or podcast and get…

Show distance of trajectory control zone
In portrait mode you can see how long the trajectory control still is but not in the landscape mode. I would like it if this would be added.

Flash screen or show some form of Visual alert (Maybe flash the screen white and black 3 times?) that would catch the drivers eye, when you have audio alerts muted? I mute mine as it causes my music to go quiet when an alert happens. (Apple CarePlay). A distinctive total screen flash might catch my peripheral vision, "Police ahead".

To have a approximated distance for traffic
i was just thinking it would be nice to either have an audible voice or something pop up with an approximate distance when your in traffic. Cause I know when I come up on it the 1st thing I'm doing is thumbing up the screen to see how far.

when you scroll around the map, you can touch an alert, and it will tell you how far away it is, and you could see any comments left by other Wazers

Being able to customise/modify the sound for the speed limit alert
The sound for the speed limit alert is too weak. It'd be nice to have an option to change the tone for this alert.
Personally I want it to be as obtrusive and as obnoxious as possible

show always distance to your preferred distributor
I suggest to put in evidence (color or..) the preferred distributors or show a line at bottom where display the choosen distributor with distance from your machine

NHVR alert
The national heavy vehicle regulator (NHVR) is Australia's independent regulator for heavy vehicles (over 4.5 tonnes) and is responsible for enforcing the Heavy Vehicle National Law. In other words they are an absolute pain in the ****. NHVR can set up on weigh bridges and/or “pads” and float around rural towns pulling over anyone they please.
At the moment the only way of knowing NHVR are around or set up is through communicating with other truckies on the rd or Facebook pages.
I know there is already an alert on Waze for police but I believe having an alert separately…1 vote
