Not really an idea but a bug...
IOS 18.1 beta and CarPlay, iphone 15 pro max. I cannot do any reporting functions (report a hazard, police, etc) on the CarPlay screen. Icon flashes so it knows I clicked it, but no response. Same thing when k try to hit the "still there/not there" buttons on the carplay screen. Have tried 3 different cars, same result. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app, restarted the phone. No change. I know this is a beta OS but just reporting the issue anyway.

Unusable in CarPlay in iOS 18 Beta 4 across multiple vehicles
The app constantly crashes during routine guidance, is unresponsive to taps, runs slowly, is jerky, doesn’t keep up with the current location, doesn’t display speed, and routinely stops displaying a map. I have tried multiple vehicles with the same results. It has been bad across all iOS 18 builds but is especially bad on beta 4.

Please add "bad weather" option on carplay. this option is only available on the waze app on the phone .

I would really like to see Waze available in CarPlay Split Screen
Now that this functionality has been made available it would be really good to be able to use Waze in Split Screen so that I can see Music and Waze rather than Music and Apple Maps and therefore have to revert back to Full Screen for Waze.

Honda civic Turn by Turn Navigation in Digital Cluster
Allow Turn by turn navigation to display in the Honda Civic digital cluster. Currently in the Si and Higher models while using CarPlay only Apple Maps offers this. When using Waze in my digital cluster, it just shows a compass

On CarPlay the hazard report and audio control buttons etc appear on the left of the screen in the UK
On CarPlay the hazard report and audio control buttons etc appear on the left of the screen in the UK instead of on the right nearest the driver. I did see it appear on the right just once after the latest update and thought "great!" but then at next launch it reverted to being on the right. Experts in the forum suggest this is set by region so are UK being classed as EU- we drive on the right. Can this be fixed or made an option to change in the settings in case I hire a car in the…

Option to not automatically launch Waze when I activate Carplay
I do not need Waze every time I drive. If I launch Apple Airplay to listen to my music or an audiobook, Waze automatically launches on my phone and drains my battery. I would like to have the option in settings to choose whether to automatically launch Waze or not. Some users may prefer to auto-launch, so having the option would be beneficial.

Integrate with new OBU (ERP 2.0) for Waze, Andriod Auto, Carplay. Doing so can opt out of touchscreen.

Remote control
As Spotify giving you the option to play a song on a phone from a different phone I want Waze to do that as well.
Example: I have an iPhone 8 sitting in my armrest on the snap-in and connected to carplay. On a second iPhone I am connected with the same account and I want to write the address on my second phone to not get the iphone out of the snap-in and so on. Don’t have a touchscreen headunit.
Also, when will Waze gives you the lane assist in BMW cluster while connected to carplay?1 vote -
Apple Car Play Issue
I love the Apple CarPlay feature. The only issue I have is the black search/favorites/voice bar doesn’t disappear as it does in Google maps. It takes up valuable map space. Could you please, in a future update, create a disappearing black bar after map is up? Thank you.

use Iphone screen to display speedometer/speed limit when in carpay mode
When in apple carplay mode, use the iphone screen to display the speedometer/speedlimit in full screen. Pehaps as a third tab next to the directions, notifications tab. With the phone in a cradle close to the steering wheel this avoids having to glance to the far right of the main car screen to see the actual speed limit.

CarPlay - no warnings when Waze is not on full screen
I have issue to report with Waze running on BMW iDrive8 head unit. Waze stops giving voice alerts if it is not on full screen or if I use split screen between Waze and Apple Music. Even though I have Waze opened in the instrument cluster, it does not give any voice warning if it is not full screen on the main unit. Please fix that. I don't want having Waze everywhere on my screens in order to receive voice alerts. If I have it opened on my instrument cluster, this alone should be enough to receive voice alerts, I…

More Space Between “Thanks” & “Not There”
As I pass an alert, CarPlay screen asks me to choose either “Thanks” or “Not There.” The buttons are spaced so close together, sometimes I’m not sure if I accidentally pushed the wrong button. It would be helpful to space the buttons out. If they are further apart, it will be easier to hit the correct one, especially in a moving car.
