  1. Safe directions based on weather and no left turns. It would be really great if Waze determine directions based on hazardous conditions

I would like an option where I can get directions that avoid left turns. In Addition it would be great to get directions based on hazardous conditions. For example, today it’s snowy and icy. It would have been great if Waze would have given me directions based on the lowest incline hills and where conditions would be safest for driving.

  2. prevent as well as report

Actually we can report several traffic problems on the roads traveled but the real goal for every Wazer is to avoid them.
Then allow us to add report from App always, tapping map on devices. Not only when we drive on that street but wherever we become aware of a problem to report. I wanna be promptly informed when I drive, I don't care from whom or what source. If a road is closed or there is bad weather or an accident and a home wazer is informed, I hope you can report it to me anyway, everywhere.

  3. Current speed yellow when approaching turn too fast

App displays speed colour to yellow on turns.

In Australia we have advice sign posts "yellow triangle" that suggest
a comfortable speed for a corner (on corners that are closer to hair-pin than straight).

The route navigation current speed would show white (normal), yellow (over suggested speed) or Red (over legal speed limit)

    Some possibilities:
    - Waze servers auto assign "suggested speed" value based an approximation of centripetal force that considered angle between two segment "points" and ignores slope.
    - Waze editor allows a road to have an assigned "suggested speed" based on road signage suggestions (which take into consideration…

  4. Ideas

Hallo.I find Waze the best app on the market but I don't understand why it's still not possible to have information about the weather that I will meet during the route, it's not possible to have explanations about the route changes (there is an accidfent along the road and we suggest to change the road...), it's not possible to ask for example "Waze find me along the road McDonald's". Its a sinn

  5. Add Unpaved as property for a Parking Lot

It would be good to be able to inform users that a parking lot is unpaved by adding a check box in the Facility section on the More Info tab in WME.
Especially during adverse weather it could help users decide to not go to a certain parking lot if its unpaved.
If lack of room is an issue, the Carwash option could be used instead, as that can be made a separate point place

  6. Alert Signal ahead

    Dear Waze Team,

I strongly recommend adding voice alerts for upcoming traffic.

Traffic signals are placed even on straight roads with no intersections

The sunlight glare during peak hours makes signal visibility very difficult.

Pedestrian crossings and school zones have signals with no visual cues from afar

This feature would significantly improve safety, reduce violations, and help drivers who are new to the city or unfamiliar with signal placement.

    Even a simple alert like:

    “⚠️ Traffic signal ahead”
... would make a huge difference, especially during bright, blinding weather conditions.

Google Maps already displays traffic lights. Since Waze is owned…

  7. Subject: Safety Concern Regarding Waze Prompts During Hazardous Driving Conditions

Subject: Safety Concern Regarding Waze Prompts During Hazardous Driving Conditions

On the morning of 18 May, we were on our way to Choa Chu Kang Peace Garden to pay our respects to my late mother on her first anniversary. It was raining heavily, and visibility was severely affected. I was fully focused on driving safely through the downpour.

During this time, the Waze GPS system repeatedly prompted me to confirm information it had picked up. Despite the poor driving conditions, these prompts continued without pause, which proved to be extremely distracting and dangerous. It diverted my attention at a time…

  8. Isle of Man TT Course Closures

Predefine the TT course from currently registered Roads so that the whole TT course in the Isle of Man can be quickly and easily set to roads open or closed to public when the Isle of Man TT Races, Manx Grand Prix and event the Southern 100 (another motorsport run on public highway that are closed to the public for he duration).

You could start with the proposed dates and Times of the closured for the TT by looking at this: https://www.iomttraces.com/page/road-closures-contingencies-2023/ then allow users to report open and or closed (which will be subject to weather for racing and…

  9. Improvement in the application

I loved the app. Beyond that, I would like to focus on improving or adding features like chatting with other Waze users so that they can notify each other in a separate section when there are problems downloading maps for when they are offline in different places, being able to post real profile pictures of the same users, drivers or runners, inform about the weather in the area, after all, good. I really liked this app 5 stars.

  10. Create static area of interest

Allow user to create an area of Interest on the map. This area would be circular and have a diameter set in miles. The user would then select alert types that they would like to receive within that area. For example, weather , police , accidents etc... The area could be named and saved within the user's account. The named area is static and therefore does not move as compared to the named area of interest that would surround a moving car.

  11. Updates to / new reportables

Pot Hole (Choose which lane to report for)

Debris in road (Choose which lane to report for)

Visibility alert (Smoke & Fire) (not just bad weather)

Reduced speed alert (Australia 40km,60km,80km,100km) Some zones are 110 but when reduced to 60 it doesn't always change on navigation - Add the option as a reportable.

Option to choose specific reports to have audible alerts.. I usually run mine with no sound at all but would be good to be able to select Police / Speed camera alerts ONLY as audible.

  12. PLEASE get RID of the ETA updates!

The ETA Updates are an INCESSANT ANNOYANCE and I'm SICK of them! The moment you try to access the map, the ETA update pops up and gets in the damn way. It also constantly gives the same sound as if you made a wrong turn, and not only is that a distraction, but it's friggin' stupid. In the end, this feature is absolutely USELESS because traffic patterns cannot be preordained, just like the weather. IN THE END, YOU GET THERE WHEN YOU GET THERE, AND THAT'S IT. We ALL know that., so PLEASE stop trying to con us with…

  13. Highway Forecast

theweathernetwork.com used to have a map called "highway forecast conditions". Either they removed it or i can't find it. They still have 'highway conditions', which shows a current snapshot, but its not the same. If i'm planning a drive from Montreal to Toronto which can take 6 hours (good weather) or 9 hours (black ice develops during the trip, roads closed), that is plenty of time for ice or snow to move in. Similarly, if i check at 6am and the roads have snow, they would usually be cleared later in the day if the snow has…

  14. A second nickname for use while driving dangerous mountain passes.

All WAZE apps would have an optional second nickname that is the same for all WAZE users. (ex. "SafetyTrakr") When selected this nickname would be visible to local incident response agencies so they could track your path as you travel through dangerous areas such as mountain paths during severe weather. If your icon stops or disappears, that would be cause for concern by the emergency response agency. For those with privacy concerns, it could be turned on only if you get stranded in one of these monitored areas. Your icon would then show up as being a stopped vehicle.

  15. Environmental Related Hazards

There should be a hazard option to report any weather conditions like any objects on fire that are on the road or on the shoulder. I suggest this as I was just on the QEW and there was a grass fire that had cause heavy traffic and I went to report it and there was no option to. I feel if there were more environmental related hazards that could be available for reporting, it will not only inform other drivers of the situation so that they can navigate out of the way to prevent less of a traffic jam and…

  17. Useless information

    Dear on duty!
I drive a lot to work and back. Hours each day. Mostly, I use the app to foresee road blocks so I could re-route through back roads that even Waze doesn't know about.
But I get a lot of useless notifications like "left lane blocked" or "fog". These notifications are pointing out the obvious. You wasted time programming, I wasted time reading it. This morning the app told me "bad weather"! This flipped my lid off. Like what? I'll explain.
How do you measure good or bad? Bad for who? It's latitude 59, it's December. I'd…

  19. Alternative Warnings for Rural/Country areas

I live in upstate NY where there aren't always enough wazers to report issues that might be there. I was thinking it would be really nice if there would be a way to make known problem areas? For example:

-There is a known speed trap on my way to work but not enough wazers pass through the area to mark a cop if he's there. What if there was an option to place "known speedtrap" warnings so that even if no one has tagged the spot, the prevalence of cop presence would justify the warning even if there isn't a…

  20. I would like to see a pickup staging option for ride share and taxi drivers.

As a recent UBER driver, I find WAZE an invaluable tool, as it integrates as a navigator right into their system so I do not have to enter the address manually. I have been using waze since it has been introduced here in Minneapolis, and threw away my old nav systems... Here is an improvement I'd like to see. I would like the option to add a stop to the current address(without having to do it manually), 2 addresses back from the stop, on the same side of the street. Call it a staging stop. That way I am on…
