Please allow a user to spell a destination.
Waze sometimes misinterprets what a user says. I live in an area where both English and French are spoken. I have Waze set to use English. However, some destinations are in French (Canadian) in these cases, Waze misunderstands. Allowing users to speak the spelling of a destination would avoid getting the wrong destination with the irritating "got it" that means you can't change anything. Also, requiring a spoken "Yes" or "No" to confirm would help.

Trip planning option removed from "Go to destination" window.
PLEASE bring back the "trip planning option" ("drive at xx arrive at xx") to the main GO TO DESTINATION window !!!
The previous version was better because this option is very useful and important when going to a destination. Searching for it in the main menu is a waste of time...and because we don't always plan a destination.Sometimes, when I want to go to a destination and I don't need to go now, I look for it and I watch the trafic jam. If I need to wait a few minutes/hours, I plan the route.

Only report and show hazards / etc on your side of the road
When viewing the map or receiving alerts, add an option to only report items on the side of the road you are driving and/or you are routed on. As a "reverse commuter" I constantly see hazards on my route but they are usually on the other side. It makes viewing the map for issues very difficult, almost unusable.

Move the destination suggestion option directly within the application
It would be way easier to have the "enable destination suggestion" checkbox within the application parameters, instead of the web dashboard.
In fact, I think all options related to Waze should be accessible directly within the app :)

Can I mark a present position as a destination address?
I would like to mark a present position and enter it as a destination address.
1 voteIt’s a bit tricky, but possible. Here’s the flow:
1. Select an address, which would be your starting point
2. On the preview location page tap on ‘More’ button (three dots), tap ‘Select as starting point’
3. Select an address which would be your destination (current address)
4. Tap ‘Go’ – Waze would calculate a route from selected start point to the selected destination point. -
Destination addresses stack handling needs improvement.
The destination stack should have a tool for editing/deleting. In present shape, the overflow of the stack causes unprecended disruption of the Taxify - Waze connection and cooperation, stopping the incoming messages to Taxify to be displayed and/or acknowledged.

show remaining time and distance next to ETA for the final destination too
ETA, Remaining time and distance to the next destination are very useful. Other suggestions handle the display of the final destination details on the main page. Before that gets implemented, please display also the remaining time and distance to the final destination too.
It is really useful when comparing various routes and when communicating with other people w.r.t. final destination or estimating if refuelling will be needed. Luckily there is enough space next to final destination ETA - there is no reason to have limited info there.1 vote -

Android auto controls to left side
Currently controls on android auto are all on the right side. You need to overstretch to reach this.if the controls could be shifted left or right so the touch controls are ne near the steering wheel.

Something similar to Destination mode in Lyft in Waze Carpool
People who have been lyft drivers would know about this. In lyft driver world, lets say the driver wants to go somewhere and wants to pick up passengers who are going to the same destination. He can set something called destination mode. So people requesting for lyft rides at the same time and same general destination will be routed to the drivers. Currently I am seeing that waze carpool is limited to morning and evening commutes. Why not open up the feature to all registered waze carpool drivers and users. send XMPP message when nearing destination (Jabber)
some people are offended by outdated technology that requires one to pay for unwanted messages (sms).
It is beyond inane to use sms on a smartphone when XMPP is far more featured, FREE, secure.
Waze could further advertise the service with its own XMPP server. This would facilitate such messages, enhance social features, and expand the wondedful world of federation. Prosody and Tigase are great server options.

Add checkbox to opt for dirty road/toll before chosing a destination.
After selection the destination, we should be able to select if we want to take toll roads or dirty roads. It will be very helpfull. Its a pain changing it in the menu 3/4 times a day. or I will never know the real best route for me!!!

Unable to set destination on android 10 device
Using teyes cc3 installed Waze. After searching the destination,and selected, it shows loading for a second and remains on the same screen. Unable to proceed to navigation

Directions should use only actual destination, not full road sign text
Sometimes a road sign lists two different destinations. Waze reads the whole content of the sign and not just my destination. This makes me unsure if I'm on the right route.

At Destination - Map Display Bug ?
When i reach a chosen "destination", the map display "shoots" off to a random location several miles away then sometimes asks me if I am stuck in traffic. Every single time. Is this not a bug?
Would it not be beneficial to keep the routing active and map accurate in case one has to circle for parking, to pickup / discharge passengers or if the actual address & location map is not exactly accurate?

changing the way of adapting the time to destination
it is more a concerning rather a new idea.
I noticed that the Waze change the destination time by one minute without telling me. just changing it, although it is useful that I will know the exact time I wall arrive I think this way of adding the minute to the time "secretly" can cause problems. my main concern is that when I see that the time went up by one minute I feel like I am driving too slow which can cause me to speed up. maybe you can change the way you adapt the time to the destination…1 vote
