Option to turn off toll roads for this drive only
It would be beneficial to have an option to turn off toll roads for this drive only. The alternative is to go into settings and turn off.any times I forget to turn it back on. We live in an area of the country where we tend to use toll roads during certain times of the days. The tolls are very high so during non peak hours would like to use alternate route without toll even if it’s a bit more miles

Adding rfid for the expressway to suggest correct toll gate
Maybe we can ask the user if they have rfid for specific expressway so that waze can suggest the correct toll gate. It will be good for newbie drivers that doesnt know that much on the current expressway

Include toll tax and parking tax etc
I have an idea about include features like toll tax (remove fast tag), parking tax etc. I believe everyone compulsory to use this app by include this features with many benefits. I have a total procedure please give me a meeting or contact with me to understand total concept.

When approaching each HOT lane entry point tell me how much time I'll save by paying the toll, even if no time savings
In areas with parallel, optional toll/express lanes like Northern VA -
At EACH HOT(High Occupancy Toll)/Express lane entry point tell me how much time I will save by choosing the toll lane, even if that time is 0 or negative.
Ex. "Approaching entrance to a parallel Toll lane, at this time entering the toll lane is estimated to be 30 min faster than the regular lanes"
Ex. "Approaching entrance to a parallel Toll lane, at this time there is no time benefit to entering the toll lane."Currently I think maybe Waze is suggesting I pay the $15 …

Add checkbox to opt for dirty road/toll before chosing a destination.
After selection the destination, we should be able to select if we want to take toll roads or dirty roads. It will be very helpfull. Its a pain changing it in the menu 3/4 times a day. or I will never know the real best route for me!!!

Toll roads automatic on/off feature when frequently traveling abroad
It will be helpful if you could please add a feature that will automatically choose ON/OFF for TOLL ROADS when frequently traveling back and forth from ones home country to abroad.
Example, one uses toll roads at the "home" country but when abroad with a rental car wishes to avoid such roads.
Currently there's no such option so when landing abroad or crossing a border, one needs to remember to manually shut down the toll road option, then when arriving back to the home country needs to remember to turn it back on, otherwise the app navigates via much longer…

Show cost of travel (toll + fuel + maybe parking values).
When choosing a destination and between different paths, toll routes could have the cost of those tolls.
As an additional feature it could calculate fuel cost (having the car/engine information, average speed and total distance).1 voteThank you for your suggestion! Use traffic data to know when a toll road is open
Waze currently thinks Toll Roads are open at certain times (e.g., northbound open from 5:00-11:00; southbound open from 12:00-20:00). In reality, they open/close at non-set times. However, it was would be easy for it to detect Waze users traveling on a toll road and adjust accordingly

Why did Waze take me on a toll/HOV Road
okay the people of Waze i live in Illinois and i think we have 3 or more tolls now i am in your ask a question category off my iPhone and i read that you guys don't have an option to enable or disable express landes or HOV lanes why is that? So when i go to Midway airport i see that there are 2 roads that lead to the tolls. Now my Question is when are you going to put that coin symbol on your app to let people know that they are taking a toll road…
1 voteThank you for your suggestion! As you may know, Waze offers HOV routing for taxis. To change your vehicle type go to Settings > Vehicle type. There are currently no plans to add more HOV options.

Waze/ Carplay crashes at toll booths in Spain and France
Had Mercedes C300 rental car 2025, driving through Basque country in NE Spain and SW France. Ever since time I passed through a toll booth carplay and waze would crash and it would take some playing around to restart. Does anyone else encounter this issue? Major safety issue getting the app and carplay restarted. I think there may be a frequency from toll booths that disrupts the wireless carplay

Toll and HOV passes should NOT be mandatory!
I found out, that of you ommit to MANUALLY add Vignette/Toll pass/HOV pass, your navigation will be put into "Avoid highways" mode. It is a bit frustrating for all who travel a lot abroad to manually add highway passes/Vignettes for each and every highway portion we intend to drive.
My suggestion is Waze should INFORM you for needed Vignette, and you should be able to either IGNORE this (still navigating higways) or to simply (one -click) ADD needed vignette to list of passes you own. That way it would be unser-friendly. For now, when process is manual and you…3 votes -
Easy access for TOLL/VIGNETTE settings + Vignettes with time limit
Make TOLL road VIGNETTE selection EASIER TO ACCESS.
Allow to set up VIGNETTE with "expiration date" (from-to)! In the EU we might have 1, 10, 30 day or 365 day vignette.

Better option with toll roads and highways.
Countries in Europe that have toll roads and Highways which are privatised have a bill which can come every three months and these bills are enormous sometimes, it's hard to understand in Italy for example how much it will cost to use a section of the highway not all of it to reduce some time and pay less. It should be an option to see how much it could cost to use different sections when getting routes that way I can decide and make a compromise between fastest route and the amount of money it costs. Waze should suggest different routes including toll roads when you put in desination
when i use waze and put in my desination I take the interstate (toll road) but Waze tells me to turn around and go through town or the city highway. It will not suggest the toll road route until I’m 50ft for the onramp. when I put in my desination Waze should give different routes suggestions and also give alerts on the ETAs and if one of the routes requires tolls, and etc.

Change the colour of the road when there is at least one toll road in the trip
Sometimes you don't remember the status of the "avoid toll roads" option. I've seen that the toll road option is about to be moved on the main screen. That's great but I think it's not enough if you miss that configuration screen.
Indeed, when you start Waze while you are already running you just want to keep your eyes on the road instead in the Waze configuration.That's why I think that Waze could allow the wazer to set a custom colour for routes that use toll roads (for example red instead of blue) in the navigation menu.

Currently, when approaching a toll plaza, many drivers are unsure where the RFID, SmartTAG, or cash lanes are located. This often leads to last-minute lane changes, causing traffic congestion and, at times, dangerous situations.
Suggestions for Improvement:
