Group and sort toll passes
Austria has a general highway pass ("Vignette"), which most people have. Due to alphabetic sorting, I have to scroll down past 55 particular permits that affect very few users. And there is a "Flex" Pass allowing for tunnels etc. not included in the highway pass to be charged to my credit card.
Such general passes (also for neighboring countries), as well as the Austrian Flex Pass and e.g. German Umweltplakete should be put on top of the list, so that they are found more easily.
Slovakia, Slovenia and Czechia are at least found at the end of the list, for…2 votes -
Change the way Waze avoids tolls
Waze does not work well to route to locations that require a toll if you have the avoid tolls setting on.
My current understanding is that waze chooses the route with the fewest segments marked as toll segments. Instead it should count a continuous segment without exits or intersections as one toll and choose the fastest route.

Currently, when approaching a toll plaza, many drivers are unsure where the RFID, SmartTAG, or cash lanes are located. This often leads to last-minute lane changes, causing traffic congestion and, at times, dangerous situations.
Suggestions for Improvement:

Avoid specific tolls
Can you make it possible to avoid specific roads (specifically tolls)
Let's say I'm in Indiana heading to Chicago. I want to get on the toll road in Indiana, but get off before the Chicago Skyway because it's more expensive.

Calculate total tolls for each route option
Some tolls are very high, others reasonable. Now I can only see if there are tolls or not, but not to decide on a reasonable toll road.
In NY, this can be as much as $13 (George Washington Bridge) and $1.50 (Henry Hudson), for example.

Add "avoid border crossings" setting, just like avoid toll roads or ferries.
Navigating from New York to Detroit, there's a route that crosses through Canada. I didn't bring my passport and wish to avoid this, but if I manually force another route, I might miss out on traffic-responsive optimizations. It should be possible to avoid border crossings just like any other route preference.

Do not reset "avoid toll roads" when updating to a new version.
When downloading a new version update, Waze automatically resets to "avoid toll roads". The last time it happened I ended up rushing to a concert and Waze directed me through the pampas instead of the highway which would have been most logical, as I always have the highway use switched on - we have annual coupons for toll road use. Understandably, I was really furious. So - an update should take into consideration the current settings of each user, just like it recently improved regarding language settings. Type of Route Options Preference settings
I frequently drive a route that gives me the option of taking a toll road or driving on the non-toll route or taking streets - but when I look at the routes available to me, I am not able to compare the time savings of taking the toll road vs the non toll version of the road. I am only able to see toll road, or a street option, or an alternate freeway option. I would really like to be able to see the difference in commute time if I jump in the HOT lane vs not paying toll…

Allow Local Passes (like current HOV/Toll Passes) for Access to Private Neighborhood Gates & Other Restricted Routes
Currently waze will avoid these gated routes when routing even though some users may have access. Instead, waze should allow local passes (much like the current HOV and Toll Passes) so users with access can add a local pass in app and the app will then know it can route that user through the restricted gate or road.

There is a difference between express lane tolls and bridge tolls. Can you separate the two when it comes to avoiding tolls. If you set it to avoid tolls, it will avoid both express lane and bridge tolls. If you need to drive across a bridge, it will send you many, many miles around to avoid the bridge toll, when you really only want to avoid the express lane tolls.

Have the correct 407 toll price
At the moment Waze is showing a price of $13.24 to take the 407 from Pearson Airport to Brock Rd. But if you look at the price on the 407 app it shows $38.50. Please update the prices!

Waze currently groups all permanent road features (speed bumps, toll booths, sharp curves, forks, merging, complex intersections) under one setting. This means users can only turn them all on or off.
Many drivers would like finer control. For example, speed bump alerts are often unnecessary or distracting, while alerts for toll booths or sharp curves are very useful.
Please allow users to selectively enable or disable each type of permanent road feature alert. This customization would improve the driving experience without losing important safety information.2 votes -
State by state Laws
When crossing state lines, the app would alert you to state laws regarding cell phone/texting, wipers/headlights, toll transponder reciprocity, etc. We discovered the hard way (toll + fine) that Florida does not accept payment from any other states transponder.

WAZE to avoid ULEZ zones - type in your vehicle reg before travel?
In April 2019 central London areas operate a 24/7 charge for vehicles which don't pass the ultra low emissions zone. This is the same boundaries as the congestion charge. This is in effect a toll. The only way I can see WAZE controlling this is that the driver must enter their reg that they are driving so that WAZE knows to avoid this toll. My car for example will fall short of the ULEZ, whereas my girlfriends will not so it is dependent on what you drive. Will WAZE build this into their app as a way of…
