Adding report option of Fire Trucks, EMTs, Emergency Personnell causing traffic congestion
In NYC and other major cities fire trucks and emergency personnel tend to cause traffic congestion and causing delays. I think waze should add a report feature for this type of activity since reporting closure wouldn't make sense in a temporary situation.

Show traffic, not map for regular trips
For routes I take every day, I'd prefer to see a stacked, summary of each turn together with anticipated delays for each turn.
Almost like the list view at the top right of the map, but with traffic on it and with the non-congested parts, diminished.

Report single lane stopped traffic on motorway
Sometimes there is a build-up of traffic in lane 1 of the motorway when approaching a junction, due to issues off of the motorway - causing cars to slam on their brakes and sometimes even causing accidents - while lanes 2 and 3 remain free-flowing.
Please allow a way of reporting single lane stopped traffic, or "exit-lane spillover" traffic (not sure how it should be worded).

Route Suggestions are not the BEST! Have thubms UP, when WAZE does a good job.
On some days, Waze suggests some really amazing detours and it saves a lot of GAS, as the vehicle is constantly moving. Also, the route saves you time. At other times, WAZE take you straight into Traffic or to a route, with building up traffic, and then asks "Are you stuck in Traffic". Really !!!. You told me to go there.
There should be a way to give WAZE thumbs up, for saving time. and Thumbs DOWN for suggesting a route with more traffic with no options for detour.

How about annoucing police or traffic jams by voice instead of pop ups.
Announcing in the voice warning police in area or traffic ahead in x miles.

Indication of clear route ahead (compared to normal traffic)
Where I live, there aren't that many Wazers. So often, heavy traffic on a stretch of road is not reported simply because no Wazer has been there yet (despite it being a busy main road).
Regularly I will detour around junctions because usually there is congestion, sometimes reported on Waze, sometimes not, it ends up being a gamble to detour or not.
However sometimes (and it seems randomly), there is no congestion. On the Waze client, the road is shown as clear, but like I said above, that often means no Wazer has been there yet to report traffic,…

Use a voice command to ask from driver for traffic
The most important report in Waze is traffic
Create a voice command to ask from driver who drive slower than allowed speed (for example half) that "is traffic in this Ave heavy" and driver answer "yes" or "no" easily3 votes -

It would be really nice if there were statistics of the traffic present at different times of the day for at least the main streets.

Please adjust speed camera alerts when in traffic
Please adapt speed camera alerts for traffic and speed. You’re notifying me of cameras 0.5 mile in advance when I’m going 5 mph in traffic. Then traffic opens up and I speed up and I don’t realize the camera is there.

1,2,3 cars icon for traffic condition
why not use 1 car icon for moderate traffic and 3 cars for complete standstill traffic

The time in traffic is obscured by the zoom buttons +/-. Can you please move them to the right side of the map?

Historical Traffic Data for Social Analysis
I am working in academia and would like very much to analyze social behavior by studying traffic data - example: in case of a disaster. I don't know if you keep historical data; if you do, is it possible to obtain data for an area for a certain date?

"Predictive" traffic information
Would it be possible for the app to have a switch allowing the users to see "predicted ETA" based on traffic data for the route from previous days/weekdays?
For example, I know for sure that a particular segment of a journey will get jammed at about 6:55 - 7:05. However, when starting the 30min journey at 6:40, this particular segment is still "free of traffic" based on live info, and so Waze shows me the route as the fastest, despite the fact that within 15 min this segment will get jammed and the "fastest" route will turn into the…

Avoid traffic jams.
I often travel with 3 kids on long road trips. Always rather be moving than standing in place with screaming kids and I am SURE a lot of people would agree. I recently had a trip take 10+ hours instead of the original 7 because of completely predictable and avoidable traffic jams on highways. Clearly not there in the middle of the night when I depart but jams there every day since they are because of ongoing construction work on a lane. Safety warning when turning left against traffic
When making a left turn against traffic, can you program the voice to say “When it is safe” or “When traffic is clear” make a left turn onto … The other day I was listening to Waze for directions and was so focused on this that I almost turned left into traffic.

Red tint on the side that traffic is slow
The red/yellow line is thin and gets obscured by the purple nav line.
In addition to the current line, I suggest a wider transparent line in red/yellow tint. The wider line should be drawn alongside the road, rather than exactly on it. The line should be on the side that the traffic is on.
In addition to the obscuring problem, the little moving flow arrows are hard to see when driving, while a broad tint clearly to the side of the road might be clearer.

Estimated time in traffic notification
When I commute to or from work, I get "Estimated time in traffic" multiple times on the way. Presently, there is no way to disable that notification without disabling all notifications. I would like an option to disable this notification.
I don't need that notification, yet I still want some notifications, police, accidents, etc. I don't need to know how long I will be in traffic, considering the arrival time doesn't change with this traffic notification.1 vote -

If you have plenty of free time, choose this “amazing” app. It will confidently guide you straight into the worst traffic jams. And if the road ahead isn’t congested enough, don’t worry - Waze will reroute you to somewhere with an even bigger mess. Peak inefficiency, perfectly automated

In Romania we have traffic control officers that are not police and this confuses drivers, this option would help a lot of drivers !
