Route mapping/sharing social
I believe having some sort of route mapping option akin to services like mapmyrun and Strava would be a great way to introduce a more social aspect for those of us who like driving for the sake of the drive or an adventure.
Myself and many of my friends enjoy just going on random drives where we just go where the wind takes us and see sights with no particular destinations in mind. However mapping those routes and destinations for future reference is challenging and honestly time consuming.

GPS SIGNAL FOR WIFE.
I was out 4x4ing with a friend and got stuck. We had no cell coverage and no internet, so the only way would be by using GPS. Having a distress option so my wife could see we were ok and to stop her calling the police. Having a distress icon that can change colour green ok, orange stuck but ok and red for send help or something to that nature. Add Pause Button to Route Guidance
I use Waze a lot for local driving and frequently take small diversions to convenience stores or maybe swing by another store or a friend's house a few blocks away that is not on the original route.
I find it very hard to believe that no one has ever added a Pause button to route guidance.
I have seen it rationalized that it would be distracting while you're driving.

Group Connection for Waze

Search bar Rework + Favorites Customization
The search feature feels a little bit messy. Instead of having your recent searches listed under your favorites, let’s add a button for recent searches, just like the buttons for gas, food, etc. Next, Instead of having only your work and home favorites listed, let’s list all of your favorite places under the search bar. You can also add the ability to customize your other favorites with icons similar to work and home. Been using Waze for a few years now & was reviewing the comments & was a little surprised!!
This past Thursday (Thanksgiving day) we were traveling North from San Diego to the Newport Beach area when I was given a reroute, and a friend of mine was following and he wasn't using Waze (but Google Maps) but he followed me and later thanked me because the traffic had stopped completely and he saw the bad accident & delay. We were able to save ourselves a good 20 minutes by going around the accident that was on the freeway. Of course it was very helpful as we were running behind schedule anyway so this was a good experience for…

Waze is very sluggish at first. I can drive 1/2 block or more in the wrong direction and then it flips me around to the correct directiion

i just use for navigation and all of these friend and other stupid icons, just confuse the situation. How do I get rid of them? I just want the street lines,etc Just navigation.

Burn it down and start over
Maybe be able to exit current navigation without having to unplug phone from car? Can’t exit from vehicle screen or app. It just keeps talking and giving directions you no longer need and have no ability to input new without closing app, unplugging and starting over. Unsafe and laughable.
Add waypoints?
Satellite imagery?
Can’t believe my friend actually likes this app.

Supportive Encouraging Voice for When You're Having a Rough Day or Just Because
I personally loved when "Mr. T."'s (kind of hard/abusive) voice was a choice. But a friend just mentioned how she would really love having a voice that was more supportive -- saying things like "don't worry, it's OK... you'll make it" (even if you take a wrong turn, for example). I thought a lot of people might appreciate that! For every day or maybe even for a particularly rough day.

Return in-app location sharing
The one click location sharing to other waze members needs to be returned. Was super handy to share my location with my partner or friend with a single click, waze would sms the intended person my link, eta and when I was a few minutes away.
Now it's all via external apps that send out bulky messages that utilises 8 lines of text. Disrupts conversations unless you want to keep deleting them daily.

it’s hard or impossible to get directions from a different location especially if you want to know when someone must leave work to meet you
It’s very difficult in the app to determine how long it will take you to get from a location that you are not at currently to another for planning. Sometimes it is accessible beneath the three dots… but sometimes I search and it just routes and doesn’t show the three dots. Just make a planning screen. Need to know when a family or friend needs to leave the office to meet you for dinner? Hard to do in your app.

For the Love of Waze: A Real Driver's Plea to Stop the Trolls
I'm writing to you as someone who truly loves what Waze is supposed to be: a community of drivers helping each other out. But that spirit is dying, and it's because you're letting a handful of trolls ruin it for everyone else.

CarPlay
CarPlay dashboard navigation mapping is unstable.
Every time I use navigation, the mapping on the dashboard disconnects after a while and shows the message “Please connect Apple CarPlay,” although CarPlay continues to display normally on the central screen. This is definitely not an issue with the phone or the car system, because I tested it in my friend’s car and the problem reappeared.
In addition, the navigation route displayed on the dashboard is too thin, making it difficult to use. I suggest making the route line thicker and more prominent.1 vote -
List addresses on the map
Why can't I see addresses on the map? I want to be able to look at the map and be able to select an individual address from the map, instead of selecting an entire street. Also, not being able to SEE addresses on the map is annoying. Let's say you want to look at a friend's address, you don't know it but know the location of, and you go to the map, zoom in, try to select it, and then it selects the entire road instead of his/her house. It's annoying! Also, an option to download the map is needed

Going to a contact's address is horrible, suggestion: please improve
Current process for going to a contact's address with Waze on iOS:
Start typing your contact's name. It shows up in the auto-complete list. Yay! Tap on it.
Now you are presented with a list of suggested addresses. Okay, maybe the address in your address book doesn't EXACTLY match an address that Waze understands. So, still cool.
2a. The first suggested address is usually just the city that your contact lives in. This is obviously completely worthless.
2b. The second suggested address is often your contact's address, but you have no way of knowing that for sure, because your contact's…

Ability to know future trip's full route when the starting point is NOT my current location.
If you schedule with someone to pick you up tomorrow, and you want to know what the possible routess for him will look like, from his home directly to the final destination, you cant do that now. There is a way to check a route from a point which isnt your current location, but only for right now. You cant plan a route from point x (x=not here) to destination in the future and view the possible routes for that trip. The new narration
Hello waze team, good morning.
We know that the crisis awakens creativity in the mind of those who feel trapped and having debts to pay. I was on my way to the inner city of piracicaba in SP, accompanied by a friend who directed the waze-oriented application. It was then that I noticed how much the voice that narrated the path bothered me, a formal and feminine voice that left made the route not comfortable. Need A View Shared Drive Option While Using CarPlay
The green-ish “View Shared Drive” button that normally appears on the right side of the screen does not appear while connected to Apple CarPlay. Currently, the only way to view a drive that has been shared with you is to disconnect from CarPlay, which is very frustrating. I am on a road trip with family in which we are driving two separate vehicles, and it would be very useful to be able to view a shared drive on my CarPlay screen to see where the rest of the family is and what their ETA is.
