  1. Android Auto Feature Parity

Android Auto is lacking a lot of features as opposed to the mobile phone app.
Many of them are already requested here, but I just see Ella (Waze team) marking them all as "NOT RIGHT NOW", without much extra info as to why not. ("Great thinking! We’ll share with the team; they’re always interested in new feature ideas.")
@Ella please take the time to think them over a bit more critically, some are just absurd why they are not going to be implemented.
For example one critical missing feature is reporting is road closures, triggering a reroute without that road.…

  2. Consider real-time & historic traffic patterns for all appropriate routes prior to proposing best route

Real-time traffic patterns for longer journeys are of limited use. Further, in the case of short journeys where there is a vast difference between on- and off-peak traffic patterns, it would be very helpful if the app could consider historic conjestion zones over the period of a few days or months.

  3. waze should update the new Awas speed camera (the new one that will be start at june)

Malaysia PLUS highway and Lebuhraya Karak will have some new speed camera Awas. Waze should add the newest Speed camera location in the maps/routes immediately as the speed camera system will be start at June (Now).

And the new Awas is "Average speed camera" , means that user can't just brake when waze alert that there is speed camera. They need to stable their speed to below the speed limit. (So waze should make a system to alert for this)

  4. New Category: Bottleneck

I often see construction zone or potholes noted on the map while driving on a major highway that have NO evidence of either being in place.

However, most of these appear to mark bottlenecks, where traffic often slows down.

I would suggest the addition of a "Bottleneck" category that could more usefully be used for those spots.

I assume those sites have "battling" Wazers, those who Thumbs up and those that Thumbs down. For spots with frequent up vs. down for a site, they could potentially be marked as a bottleneck.

  5. Manually set Speeds for different vehicle setups

I use Waze to drive a jeep, jeep & trailer, bus and trucks.

Legally towing, bus & truck must travel at lower speeds in the cars and jeeps.

It would be really helpful if we could:

    1) create different vehicle profiles for the same driver and switch between them.

    2) Have the option to be able to manually input the max speeds for vehicle profile eg National roads in Ireland are 80km for bus, truck and towing and 100km for bus and 90km for truck and towing on motorways. This would be more for calculating journey times than speed warnings…

  6. Displaying the sections where the speed of travel from point A to point B is recorded by the cameras of the Toll system for vignettes.

Hello Bulgaria, but not only Bulgaria. Since the beginning of September 2025, the toll system that monitors purchased vignettes has started measuring average speed in certain sections of the road network.

Unfortunately, these road sections are not marked on the road itself, and drivers have no way of knowing that they are entering these sections.
The state, represented by the Road Agency and the Toll System, published a list and map on their website showing where these sections are located, and that was the end of the information on this change.
It is clear that the state is doing this…

  7. Display car speed//speed limit option in Waze

My wish: to be able to choose, as an option, EITHER the display of my speed (which my car already gives me) along with an alert when I’ve exceeded the speed limit (which basically means it’s already too late!); OR the display of the current speed limit on the route. That would be truly useful information, because while driving you often lose track of which zone you’re in—50? 70? 80? 90? One quick glance at Waze and the info would be right there, clearly visible.

  8. Can you set the speed "over limit warning" in the speedometer so that it plays the audible warning every time I exceed the speed limit ?

Can you set the speed "over limit warning" in the speedometer so that it plays the audible warning every time I exceed the speed limit? I'm asking because I've been using Waze to get around Bologna since they added the 30km zone and it's very useful to me. I'm asking you because it only plays the warning the first time and then for a stretch of the road it doesn't play it again, maybe it's set like this so as not to be annoying but I really need it to ring every time. Thank you.

Use free open govement data from STRADA (Swedish Traffic Accident Data Acquisition) improve data on current route to give heads up, ”This route has more reported accidents than a average route”
    https://www.transportstyrelsen.se/sv/vagtrafik/statistik/olycksstatistik/om-strada/

There is allso a open data on game accidents on the road, https://www.viltolycka.se/ so Waze colud give heads up on current road, ”There is a high game accident rate on current road at this time of rhe day”

  12. Constant alarm when you go over the speed limit with thresholds

Most speeding limit cameras are set to issue a ticket for going greater than 10mph over the limit. I'd like an alarm that goes off and continues to go off for as long as you are X mph over the speed limit AND where you can adjust X to whatever threshold limit you desire.
If the threshold in your state is 10mph over the limit, I would probably make the alarm to go off and stay beeping as long as I'm greater than 8 mph over the speed limit.

In other states such as VA and KY, a ticket can…

    Merci

  14. Easier reporting

    Hi

Firstly, thank you for this amazing app. I've passed on to several friends now.

My question is about reporting everyone's pet hate, Potholes!
Over the past few weeks I've submitted loads of locations while travelling but most of the time doing the average legal speed, by the time its been 'logged' either by tapping the appropriate icons or doing it via voice command, the pothole is then maybe several yards or more, behind me.

My concern is that their locations won't always be spot on. Can I assume that when my screen comes alive with someone else's report that..…

  15. Show temporary speed limits in construction zones

Temporary Speed Limits for Roadworks & Construction Zones
This suggestion aims to enhance road safety and improve the accuracy of Waze navigation by implementing a feature that displays temporary speed limits in real-time. These are the limits indicated by the yellow or orange signs on portable stands often found in road repair and construction zones.
Currently, Waze primarily relies on static, permanent speed limits for a given road segment. However, in areas with ongoing roadworks, the official speed limit is often temporarily reduced to ensure the safety of both drivers and road workers. Without this information being reflected…

  16. Feature Proposal – Wildlife-Sensitive Navigation Layer for Waze

Subject: Feature Proposal – Wildlife-Sensitive Navigation Layer for Waze

    Dear Waze Team,

I hope you're doing well. I would like to propose a feature idea that enhances both user experience and environmental responsibility.

The idea is to add a “Wildlife-Sensitive Zone” layer to Waze. This feature would highlight areas with known wildlife activity—such as migration paths, breeding zones, or protected habitats—helping drivers avoid routes that may disturb local ecosystems. It could also provide alerts when approaching such zones and suggest eco-friendly alternative routes.

This not only aligns with responsible navigation but also supports environmental sustainability. I believe…

  17. Route color coding.

In navigation programs currently route to go is shown in single colour.
It can be colour coded to show descent and ascent, with intensity of colour changing according to steepness.
That would decrease risks when overtaking, as descents are hard to spot, and another car can be hiding there.
Current maps can be updated, when there are changes in altitude not matching ones known in app. No manual work would be needed; averages of reporting can be used.

  18. Predictive Coasting Speed Alert / Vorausschauende Roll-Geschwindigkeitswarnung

I suggest adding a predictive driving option to Waze that helps drivers adjust their speed more smoothly before reaching reduced speed zones.
Currently, Waze shows the reduced speed limit exactly when you reach the zone, which often forces drivers to brake actively. My proposal is that Waze should calculate the optimal point at which I should release the accelerator, allowing the car to coast into the reduced speed limit without using the brakes.
The system should display an alert such as “Reduce speed to 50 km/h in 300 m” at the right moment for coasting.Additionally, the app could…

  19. precision

You have done a great job of taking into account speed, traffic, up-to-date traffic, anticipated traffic, precise speed limits along the route. You probably have pedestrian traffic and tire pressure in the calculation too. I found it so surprising that my estimated arrival time was off. It was incredible to imagine that my WAZE was off by such a significant amount too. It was off by 60 minutes. Of all the variables that affect my arrival time you left off the variable with the largest impact to my arrival time - arrival time zone... I arrived an hour late.…

  20. use speed limits to cap estimated time to destination

It seems to me that Waze uses the average speed of traffic to estimate the time to the destination of the route selected. However, this is not very useful to me if the average speed of traffic is greater than the legal speed limit. While I may be okay with exceeding the speed limit under certain conditions, I almost always prefer to know how long it will take me to get somewhere if I drive at most the legal limit. From there, I can make my own decision as to what route to take or how fast to drive.

    The…
