Use predictive modeling to better route traffic during a major traffic event
Western Washington state experienced a major traffic event when a train derailed and shut down Interstate 5 for the whole day. 60K vehicles use that stretch of I-5 every day. I used Waze to navigate home, but a 40 minute drive turned into 5.5 hours because of the accident and using side roads.
Waze tried its best to find the best route, but the predicted two-hour drive kept getting worse and worse. Of course, there's not much historic information to know how to the side and back roads would reach to that much traffic flooding onto them, but Waze…

Automatically resume current route if/when android auto reconnects
For some reason waze seems to disconnect or reload on Android Auto when I'm changing apps on my phone. This causes Waze to stop the current route I'm on and then asks me if I would like to resume the route. I would prefer if it just automatically resumes the route and I can stop it if need be.

Make "on my route" the default tab for reports
It seems that people would be more interested in reports that are on their route instead of around me. You can save us all a click by making on my route the default tab.

Reducing the number of wrong route choices in Waze search
waze needs to add an option checkbox in case the rider encounters the wrong route choice while traveling the route indicated by the Waze search. Waze can determine the wrong route for removal. Deletion based on a large percentage of the number of checkboxes ticked by the rider.

Update regarding Route options distraction
The update changed the route option icon to the bottom right corner instead of the top left. It is not user-friendly in the bottom right when you’re driving and there’s other icons around and you’re trying to click on it and not be distracted. PLEASE change back to top left the icons there aren’t important enough

checking for new routes easier with button on map screen. Long routes need driver to manually check for new route.
For long commutes the traffic changes and the app won't update with a new route. I check for a new route 4-5 time during my morning commute as traffic changes, but the app lags calculating change for commutes to work.

Waze on android auto route issue
The recent update on waze for Android auto no longer lets me choose which location after I voice command a destination. If I say, "take me to AutoZone" and I'm 5 miles from one it often just starts my route to one in a completely different city. I've even had it route me to a different state! Before it would give me a list of places that matched that name and I got to pick. Also, my route history now shows up on boot on Android auto. I drive for work a lot and it is not my passengers' business…

Trucker Route Option

This idea has been being discussed for a while and recognized as an important user request.
We hear the community’s voice and would like to share that while we can’t currently commit to a timeline, we do have plans to create a way to add more than one stop pre-drive.

Give Option to Confirm Address when starting Route
I want to confirm the address Waze is taken me to before the route starts. If I say take me to X, it automatically starts the route without letting me confirm or see the address it is taking me to.

If there’s a road closure acknowledge it and recalculate a route
I get that you need several people to confirm theres an actual road closure but if I am the first there and I need an alternative route, it keeps sending me back to the closed road.

Add "HIGHWAY FIRST" to route preference
When there are several routes available, I've noticed that Waze may calculate a route that combines both ground roads and highways. This is done to save a little time or reduce toll fees but can result in entering the highway from a distant entrance or exiting the highway too early. This approach leads to more instances of entering and exiting, as well as increased interactions with other drivers, which is unnecessary and more dangerous.

I vote for the route in the center of the screen on android car audio
On android car radio the route is not in the center of the screen. Moreover - it is on the right side of the screen, at the maximum distance from the driver. It is very uncomfortable! Fix it please!

Option for more than 1 stop along my route
I find the option to add stops on my route convenient for when I'm going on a long drive where I need to stop at a few places along the way, but it only allows me to add one extra stop. Why can I only add one? I'd appreciate being able to add at least 3 or 4 stops in one trip so I don't need to start a new route after each destination along the way (I've had to do that before and it's way too complicated). no notification when route changes do not affect time
Please -- NO notification when route changes do not affect time! Took a 10+ hour trip the other day and for the first hour, the app kept "updating" the route though with NO change to the time of trip and kept letting me know about every 1-2 miles ... very very annoying! If time not changed, odds are changes in route aren't important to drivers!

simplified route share
The share feature is so nice to use. Only thing I would like to recommend is a quicker way of doing it. I get it, you have to open the messaging app to share the route you are on. Instead of tapping share, than messages than the contacts than hitting send, I'd like to add whatever contacts to a list, just tap once, maybe twice and share instead of all the hoops

Show All Alternate Route Information and Make It Easier to See and Select While Driving
When driving on a route, Waze lets you select alternate routes. However, there is not enough information given to make an informed choice.
Examples:
A) Waze may suggest a different freeway than the one you're currently on, but to get to that freeway you may be routed on side streets. You know that the traffic on the side streets is not accurately reported by Waze and are busy at that time of day and so you would avoid that route if you knew Waze would route you that way.B) Waze senses that traffic is getting worse…

It happened several times to me that waze pushed me into a street too small for my vehicle, worst going backwards was nearly impossible because of the other cars in my back. I am not even talking about the funnel I was pushed in with a challenge to get out.
Also, not later than 2 days ago, i was advised à route with a bridge high limited to 2.00m ... so no way for me to go there. I was forced a détour…
