iPhone 14 and dynamic island
I got a new iPhone 14 and in landscape mode the dynamic island covers up very important information on the map, including what road is next and in how long. Please fix this!

Recommend a voice option with just 1 hazard button. Hit 1 button, WAZE asks what the hazard is, you say “pothole” etc
Have the option in settings to do voice notifications. Then there will be just one button to hit on the screen. Waze asks what the hazard is and we say, “pothole”, “object on road”, ‘Police” etc. This will make for a much safer journey.

Ability to practice verbal commands
Waze accepts some voice commands, but I cannot find a definitive reference for the words in its dialect, nor can I find a way to test random words to find out which it accepts.
Instead, we would benefit from a "test mode" that allows us to say "police visible my side" or "obstacle in road my side" or "hazard fog in road" and have Waze indicate that it understands the words.

יש לי רעיון נחמד:
בעניין ההנחיה הקולית בווייז
יש לכם בה 3 אפשרויות:1 ללא קול.2 התראות בלבד. 3 קול מופעל.
אתם גם יכולים להוסיף קול/הנחיה למקומות חדשים.
כלומר:
בנסיעות קבועות האפליקציה תשתיק את הקול, ואם בנסיעה חדשה היא תעשה עם קול.
למשל אם נוסעים באופן קבוע לעבודה והנהג לא רוצה או צריך הנחיה קולית כי הוא מכיר את הדרך הוא רוצה לראות את התנועה אז האפליקציה תהיה שקטה (אלא אם הנהג הגדיר אותה באפשרות גם ל-התראות)
אבל כשעושים בוויז נסיעה חדשה היא תפעיל את ההנחיה קולית וככה לא צריך להתעסק עם האפשרויות שמע.מקווה שנתתי הסבר לרעיון שיתקבל אצלכם בברכה…

automatic pot holes detection
At our university we have developed Android app which automaticaly analyses data from accelerometer and detects pot holes and road problems. We mark them to the map so the drivers are informed about a road problem ahead of them. See the app in PLAY store - bit.ly/1RCLM3P

need waze to tell me the turn after next, so I can set lane position properly when making the next turn
Waze will show/tell m the next turn to make, but before I get to it, I need to know what the turn after will be, to insure my lane position is correct for the coming turn.

What about connecting Waze to OBD port so that waze can connect to a vehicle's cruise control and maintain speed under certain conditions?
Add a feature that connects waze to a vehicles OBD to help maintain speed through vehicles cruise control to maintain speed

When we're rerouted to avoid congestion it would really be helpful to get a brief reason.
When Waze reroutes us to avoid congestion, it would be very helpful if it could briefly announce "rerouting due to congestion" or words to that effect so we'll know that the apparently strange new route isn't the result of an inadvertent electronic "hiccup."

"landscape" phone holder
Currently my phone holder is in "landscape" position. The problem is that the 3D (or birdview) paramertes are same with the portrait position, so the area front of the car is smaller ( I can see only few km forward)
If I navigate and I get a warning (eg. traffipax) half of the screen is covered... so my "foresight" is more reduced
I have 2 suggestions:
- "adjustable" (or auto) birdview-sight angle/height: if there are 20km "foresight" in portrait position, let the same distance in landscape position
- navigation and warning "bars" let the same size in every position... and…12 votes -
Better support for intents
GMM supports many more intents than Waze, and what waze does support does not always work.
For example, Waze can handle http://maps.google.com/maps, but, Google's web maps now uses just http://maps.google.com/
And you don't handle https:// at all.The geo:lat,lng intent seems to occasionally work. But not consistently. Didn't try geo:?q=... types of intents.
And of course, there are all sorts of country specific maps.google.* variations that aren't handled. Don't know if Android intents handle wild cards or not. It appears that GMM explicitly lists everything.

Better destination features
- Rename address to something that describes the destination (not simply the address)
- Sorting (alphabetical, distance, importance, etc.)
- Provide a way to group certain addresses.

Add favourite song button on players (spotify/tidal/youtube ect.)
In music apps we have got 3 buttons (left play/pause and right). I propose to add button "add to favourite (heart)" There are a lot of situations when you are driving, some random playlist is playing and one of the songs is so good you wanna add it to your favs - now you need to stop, switch to music app, add to fav and go back on road.

Display unique symbols for hazards reported on the road
At the moment, you have to click on the Hazard symbol to actually know what the hazard is. And as people alway report vehicles stopped on the hard shoulder as being a hazard, its hard to know what action to take when driving unless you know what the hazard ahead is. It is also dangerous to have to click on the small hazard symbol whilst driving. So why not have different symbols for different hazards? These symbols would be displayed on the map, preventing the need to have to click on the hazard symbol in order to know what the…

Allow a user-selected zoom to STAY until user re-centers map
Many times I want to keep Waze at a certain zoom level for a long time, but Waze automatically resets the zoom and re-centers by itself. What's wrong with letting the user set AND KEEP a particular zoom level until canceled by the user, with or without keeping the map centered on current position. It's very annoying to have to keep readjusting Waze to show what I want to see!

Show Congestion/ULEZ zone and tell Waze what car you have
It would be super useful to have the ULEZ/Congestion Charge zones both highlighted in the Waze map. It would be amazing if you could actually make them both different coloured areas with different coloured roads too!
Secondly it would be amazing to be able to tell Waze what car you’re driving and Waze could take that into consideration when planning your route. Several times I’ve been rerouted towards the Rotherhite tunnel which is a 2tonne limit and my car is just over two tonnes so I’d get a fine.5 votes -
What happened to regular accident, police etc report list
Before this update, you were able to hit certain buttons such as accident, police, traffic, etc and it gave you the run down of what was going on where. Now I have to scan my whole route to see what going on and frankly that takes too long in the morning. This app almost isn't worth having anymore, that change really downgraded how useful this app was for me.

Currently playing music shown on map
I use my phone to listen to music while driving (through Bluetooth) a lot of the time and I also use the screen of my phone to see what song is playing, I just thought it would be a cool thing for the app to tell you what song is playing on your phone while having the map open. I have seen other apps do this so I know it is possible.

I think there should be a way to see what weekly mileage totals are. A simple forward space separating weekly / career would suffice.

Two cars
It would be quite useful to be able to configure two (or more) different car profiles. In my case I have a diesel car and an electric car, and I may use one or the other depending what where I want to go (for instance, city center is forbidden for non electric cars). So a feature where I could just simply choose my car when opening the app up or even better, auto detection of what car I am in using CarPlay or Android Auto, would be really nice to have.
