Add charger speeds as a search option for EV Charging
As an EV driver I want to search for an EV charging station! When traveling I want to locate a FAST charger. This means it needs to be at least 50kW and ideally over 100kW.
If Waze can add this it’s a game changer and we don’t have to search desperately with our EV charging apps on our phone then come back to Waze to enter the address.16 votes -
An option to show EV charging stations on map
Waze offers an option to indicate EV charging stations in a given area but, in order to access it you need to move out from your map.
It would be great to have the option to show EV charging stations around you while you are driving rather than having to move to a separate page.

What about connecting Waze to OBD port so that waze can connect to a vehicle's cruise control and maintain speed under certain conditions?
Add a feature that connects waze to a vehicles OBD to help maintain speed through vehicles cruise control to maintain speed

Add missing public EV charger networks (here for Belgium)
For Belgium, I noted a few major players of EV charging stations are missing in the EV charger list. Like Sparki, Optimile, Electra. Also smaller ones , like EnergyVision , novoeco , Porsche Connect , Road BV , Volvo Charging , ...
As this is a dynamic world (and I expect further consolidation etc), it would be great to link your database to a reliable online source / catalog(s) of EV chargers / speed chargers.

Display EV charger availability and location when using Carplay
Current behavior:
When you search an EV Charger in Waze Carplay, it displays a list of EV Charger without the location on the map. Also the charger availability is not displayed. This makes it almost impossible to pick up a convenient EV Charger.Enhancement request: when searching for an EV charger

EV features aren't currently supported in mycountry
EV features aren't currently supported in my country Costa Rica. We don't have license plate restrictions for electric vehicles and the days that plate matches the gasoline and diesel cars restritions I get not optimal routes.
Please enable EV features, including no license plate restrictions.

When in an EV, also show the regular Gas stations category in the Search menu
I'm driving an EV, so Waze replaced the Gas stations category in the search menu with "EV charging" on Android Auto. However, many EV charging stations in my country are in the middle of nowhere, or at least don't have a place to grab a quick bite or refreshing drinks like the regular gas stations have. I tried using the "Food" and "Coffee" categories, but they just search for restaurants or coffee places and are not suitable for a quick stop along the way. Display on 2024 Chevy Equinox EV Discolored
Colors of the app are improperly displaying on Google Automotive (2024 Equinox EV). All other apps are working normally but Waze is having a sepia-like display, without blues and greens, and only looks normal when you switch away to another app for a very brief second.

EV charging stations that are mapped on GM should display charging details on Waze
At present, Waze doesn’t display critical EV charging information like charger type and power output for Google locations. Even when linking a Waze location to a Google location, these details aren’t automatically imported, as they are with opening hours. To provide accurate EV information on Waze, users are forced to manually input all relevant details for each charging station.

I think it'd be great to create a category for EV Charging Stations as either as a new Category or as a subcategory of a new Fueling Stations options (instead of Gas Stations)

EV charging list filters
It would be perfect to see/sort/filter the charging list with distance (to current position, regardless of added time) availability, and charging speed. When a charger is needed, it should be possible to pick from a couple of closer, available and faster selection.

A way to report Gas Stations or EV Stations that are out of service or out of gas
Normally during storms, people will stock up on gasoline and stores may run out of gas to sell. Having a feature that allows users to report when gas stations are out of gas or EV stations are out of service on the Waze app would be incredibly useful for drivers. Not only would it save time and frustration by allowing drivers to avoid gas stations that are out of service, but it could also help promote safer driving practices. The "Preferred fuel" should contain EV charging standards too (ChaDeMo, CCS, etc) and list EV chargers if set :) Thank you!
The car menu already provide relevant info if you set your preferred fuel, but it's only for ICE vehicles. Please add option for EV's, and if set, provide chargers as relevant information.

See EV recharging stations during navigation
While driving, the charging stations are not visible. If they were visible, we could select them directly on the map to modify the navigation.
