When crossing borders the fuel type should update to the localized equivalent of that fuel type.
Waze has different fuel types in different countries. Right now when crossing a border it resets to the default value, usually E10/95 For instance when crossing borders between the Netherlands when fuel type is set to Diesel, it will change to euro95 when crossing the border. When I then search for a gas station it will show me stations with that fuel type.
There should be some sort of conversion table with fuel types from country to country.

"global entry"
Add Global Entry as an HOV option.
Global Entry is the US Trusted Traveler program that allows the traveler to cross the border under expedited scheme. NEXUS program currently available as an HOV option allows the user to travel through special lanes available on US/Canada border.
These lanes while traveling from Canada to the US also allows the holder of the Global Entry to enter the US through NEXUS lanes.
Similar is available for SENTRI lanes from Mexico to US.

Waze should add “avoid border crossing” as an option, especially now that we cannot cross into the US from Canada

Add icon to report CBP with green hat.
Due to the current and increasing activity of Custom Border Protection I suggest an icon like the police but named CBP and the hat green in color to help the community.

Kosova Borders
While searching for a city in Kosovo it still appears Serbia after the name of the city.
Since almost 15 years from the state existence, a UN member state, known from 114 UN state members it still doesn't appear on WAZE as a sovran state.
Is there any way to define the state borders?3 votes -

Can you change the colour of the speed limit signs to red and white? Now when I connect through the android car in my car, it's the colors of the signs black - orange border and white background.

Why the "Waze Voice" settings automatically changed when I cross the border between Germany to France ?
I still didn't start to speak French.

Show the country borders
Some countries you just don't want to pass through so it would be useful, if you could see on the overview whether you are passing through or not.

Add safety message to remind local rules / habits
When the wazer is going to a new zone, Waze could remind him local habits : for example, in Paris, there is a lot of motorcyclists driving between the 2 right lane, Waze could say "Please pay attention to motorcyclists " ...
It could also be a reminder of the speed limit for this counrty when crossing a border.

Android Auto version
I like the latest improvements to the Android Auto design...I have one suggestion for the setting menu for Android Auto namely have the ability to switch from km to miles...it's on the smartphone version but not Android Auto...it would be useful when crossing the border

Some Screen Elements Not Readable
put a background border around time and other info icons near top of display. These are difficult to see/read when driving in cities because street names are also white font and the time becomes obfuscated on the display.

Make option to avoid international borders
Drove from Boston to Michigan and the app continuously tried rerouting us through Canada to save time! Please add an option to avoid international borders so we don't have to worry about being sent through another country if traffic builds ahead.

Spain and French flags
Hi! I noticed that in some countries when arriving to the border, the flag of the country appears and when you go to Spain or to France from Spain the flag doesn't appear.

Add Support for Oval Country-Code Symbols in Visual Instructions

Ryan Trahan (and Haley) as voice with State Unlock sound effect
You may be familiar with YouTuber Ryan Trahan and his wife Haley traveling all 50 states in 50 days for a St. Jude fundraiser. It would be fun for family road trips to have their voices for navigation as well as a feature that would play their "New State Unlocked" sound effect whenever crossing a state border.

Suggested speed limit
In the Netherlands we have two types of speed limits. The first is the legal limit and the second is the suggested speed limit. Which is lower to encourage safe driving. The second type of speed limits, the suggested speed limit has a different sign. Blue with a white border.
It would be beneficial to show these suggested speed limits in the Waze interface as well as to encourage safe driving. Currently they are not shown in the application.

Notification Feature when sound is muted
Like Samsung S22/23 notification "Edge Lighting Style" when sound is muted will be very helpful to have any type of lighting edge feature to have a visual notification on the screen. For example (something that get my attention) border red light, flashing screen. This feature will be very useful when you are listening music 😊😅 or are talking with other people while driving

Speed camera alert under menu Police
Hi
After my last voyage I found that waze doesn't have a lot of marked speed cameras the same with sectional speed measurement. For example in Czech republic. I had to use other app to get alerts. Why waze let us Mark speed cameras In new menu or under police menu. It would be easier to refresh database.
Under police should be option to mark type of services like border guards, police or road inspection of transport.1 vote
