   Display a country-specific speed limit sign (e.g., Israel’s red circle, USA’s rectangle) in the same UI spot as numeric limits, but with a symbol (e.g., question mark "?", exclamation mark "!", or eye "👀") instead of a number, urging drivers to check roadside VSL signs. In the Waze Map Editor (WME), add a simple, country-specific symbol option for editors to tag VSL segments.

2. ZFE NICE - ERREUR MESSAGE VIGNETTE CRIT'AIR 4

   Bonjour,

   À la suite des récents comités ministériels, la zone administrative de surveillance « Nice », comprenant la Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur, est désormais classée en « Territoire de Vigilance ». Aussi, au 1er janvier 2024 ce sont les restrictions ZFE 2023 qui s’appliquent pour une durée indéterminée (voir arrêté modificatif du 19 février 2024).

   A ce jour, l’application Android Waze, indique un risque d’amende pour une destination dans le périmètre de la ZFE, pour un VL ou VUL vignette Crit’Air 4.

   Or il s’agit d’une erreur, les véhicules Crit’Air 0, 1, 2, 3 et 4 sont autorisés à circuler dans la ZFE au 01 janvier 2024. (seuls les véhicules Crit’Air 5 et non classés sont interdits et donc soumis à une amende)

   Pourriez-vous tenir compte de cette information et mettre à jour l’application Waze.

3. Restriction zones based on license plate

   In Costa Rica Waze is probably the top GPS app, largely because we lack proper street names and numbers!

   The capital city has a license plate access restriction system, where depending on your license plate, you cannot access the city center 1 day of the week. It would be amazing to have the ability to tell waze which day you cannot enter and for the app to design alternate routes for you.

   Thank you for your suggestion! As you may know, Waze already takes license plate restrictions into account, in many parts of the world. To enable this feature, add your license plate details under Settings > Car details > License plate.

4. Safety road is follow one way circles

   FOLKS, PLEASE READ THIS IS URGENT.
   I have 20 years o driving experience, well my friends died on roads too.. Last time technical failure caused the truck in opposite direction lost its trailer. 80 + 80 = 160kmph = HE DIED.
   Therefore I have imagined how ie. distributors (PpL, DHL,UPS..) travel in circles... In general average, I better don't want to meet these guys in opposite direction. In mathematical model I want to minimize other Wazers passin by. I'd like to get SOME model applied in general and follow just because I am scared of front crash. SOME could be pretty much from existing data of "Avoid complicated left turns". Please navigate us to minimize passing by. Similar road arrangement can be seen ie. also on some festivals so it is not just a dream!! I prefer to come 10min late than never [+].

6. Waze for CMV drivers

   I’ve seen the multiple post about Waze making an app or integrating cmv options for the current app and notice that nothing gets more than 11 votes before the idea is shut down. Is there a reason for that? Waze is an extremely easy to use and reliable gps app. As an iOS user, I have downloaded google maps(iOS maps highly unreliable and hard to use), and other apps that I have to use in combination with the Omni tracks to keep on route and keep track with driving but none of these gives accurate enough road information as far as construction zones, in progress route changes, detours, accidents etc. at all. I’m sure that Waze could charge a small fee for an app that is CMV friendly and driven seeing as many of the users are more than likely truck drivers. I know drivers like me that recommend the app to others for a multitude of reasons wouldn’t mind paying. ALL road users would definitely benefit from this!

   I could semi understand why a developer wouldn’t want to take on this challenge because a lot does go into route planning and tracking for cmv’s. Maybe partnering with other companies that offer a good deal of this information matched with what Waze has to offer would be a good start. It would also be good to keep in mind disabling some of the features for operators of cmvs to lessen certain distractions, ie: offer reporting for weighstation status, inspection zones and construction delays.

7. Create a Partner Data Feed for GIS-based Street Sign Inventory

   Many municipalities are importing/moving their street sign inventory into their GIS system. Since many Waze map attributes are based on visible street signs (speed limits, one-way streets, turn restrictions, school zones, street names, etc.), it makes sense to allow municipalities to upload their sign locations and have some koi-fish-style validation of those signs against the existing Waze attributes.

   For the initial upload, where signs differ from the Waze attribute, Map Issues or Map Suggestions could be created to have WME editors verify the differences and make any necessary corrections.

   On an ongoing basis, as new signs are posted and the GIS system is updated, a Map Issue or Map Suggestion would be generated for WME editors to solve.

8. Marking roads as non-allowed transit routes

   In Sweden quite a few roads are prohibited from use when it comes to transit routes, usually because they run through densely populated areas and school zones. Using these prohibited routes will get you a fine if caught.

9. Set by default speed limit for all country and city/town/metro area, for each segment

   adding automatically speed limits for each segment in all metro zones/cities/towns and all over the country,

   this limits can be approved and coordinated with all community managers.

   and if in one city is a segment with a different speed limit, any local editors change speed limits value

10. Bonjour, Pourquoi ne pas indiquer oralement les changements de limitations de vitesse

    Mon idée est d'avoir une assistance vocale indiquant les changements des limitations de vitesse, plutôt que d'entendre les zones de contrôles ou de police. Informations qui n'aident pas à la conduite, mais à éviter les forces de l'ordre...Très utile pour les trafics en tout genre !!!

11. Road worker alert

    Add an alert for workers that are not in construction zones! These are the guys that are outthere close to the edge of the road mowing the grass and picking up trash! They are vulnerable because the only alert for them is usually a sign and they are generally working with nothing between them and traffic.

12. Ambulance

    Good morning. Thank you for your application. I have a suggestion. I am a paramedic and like many paramedics we use your application to respect speed limits and pay attention to control zones. Would it be possible to add an ambulance vehicle and if possible a quickest route for the ambulances taking into account the size of the ambulances. Thank you in advance for considering my proposal.

    Some cities have switched school zones to playground zones with the same reduced speed limit. A nice feature would give an alert when the play ground sign is detected.

    It would be very helpful if Waze could show the average speed of each road, so drivers can choose smoother and faster routes even if they are a bit longer.

    I believe this feature would make navigation more accurate and practical for everyone.

15. Colour code the best lane options for upcoming turns

    It would be fantastic if the lanes could be colour coded for upcoming turns to get you into the best lane possible. Example is if you are a long way from the turn, have all the lanes in Green. Then as you get closer to the intersection, colour the lanes next to your optimal turning lane in Orange and all other lanes in Red. This would then encourage you to get into the correct lane in preparation for your turn well in advance. This would help when you are in heavily congested traffic, multilane highways or in higher speed zones.

17. Zoom et rotation automatiques. Répétitivité des instructions. Itininéraires

    Bonjour,

    Je constate avec beaucoup d'énervement à la longue que le zoom automatique, pourtant très utile, se déclenche toujours avec ****** par rapport à l'arrivé dans une zone avec des bifurcations (entrés d'agglomérations, jonctions de voies rapides, rond-points.....).
    Tout n'apparait pas au bon moment et cela induit des erreurs de lecture de carte. Tourner alors qu'il y a deux voie proches l'une de l'autre et que la deuxième que l'on doit prendre apparait avec un temps de ******....

    Des rotations de cartes intempestives à des intersections simples en croix induisent en erreur alors que l'on fait attention à la route en premier (tout droit devient gauche...)
    Pire, le décalage en temps existe aussi pour l'orientation et la rotation automatique dans les rond-points.C'est franchement pénible et cela ne joue à pas grand chose.

    Lorsque des rond-points ou différents changements de directions sont proches et se succèdent, les informations pour chaque point sont répétées jusqu'à 3 fois. Là, ça fini par être insupportable. Vous n'avez même pas passé le 1er point que les infos du 2ème voire du 3ème vous tombent dessus en cascade et tout se répète....Bref, visuel map, infos audio et réalité du terrain alors que l'on a besoin d'être zen ne font pas bon ménage et agacent.

    Sur bien des propositions de trajets, j'ai noté bien des incohérences qui m'ont obligé, quand je connaissais la route à forcer la main à Waze pour qu'il s'adapte en directe mais qui m'ont fait pester quand je constatais après coup que la route choisi n'était pas la meilleure.
    Un exemple : Niort Cognac par la A10, la sortie Saintes est imposée au détriment de celle de Saint-Jean d'Angélie. Pour une arrivée dans le même temps, vous faites moins de kilomètres et payez moins de péage ! En plus, la direction Cognac est indiquée à cet endroit sur l'autoroute.
    Je fais même des comparaison avec Google map et constate de flagrantes différences parfois

    Ces accumulations sont usantes et pénibles à la longue.

    J'ai tourné avec différentes marques de GPS en son temps puis avec Google map et je n'ai jamais eu autant de problèmes. Et dire que Waze appartient à Google.

    I live in Canada and I've gotten routes to England and the western United States. Please allow setting a maximum distance or zones around where a driver is.
