Show current direction and the next direction similar to google maps
I love using waze but one thing that always annoys me, especially when in areas I am not familiar with, is not knowing what the next direction is until I've completed the first.
For example, when exiting a highway there is no indication of if you should be turning left or right at the on-ramp until you have gotten close to the end of the ramp. I would find it really helpful if in scenarios like this the directions read "take exit ramp on right and then get in far left lane to take a left" or something similar…9 votes -
Waze Rider - No option to split tolls?
Was doing a research project on Waze Rider. For starters see a few evident loopholes, which could use some improvements.
- Why are the Tolls not being divided between the Rider and the Driver?
- that leads to my other observation, in the NYC metro area crossing from NJ-NYC is predominantly via the downtown Holland and Midtown Lincoln tunnels and uptown GW bridge. Tolls for riders in a car are $16; this significantly drops if you have 3 or more passengers. Location based fare calculation would be more beneficial.2 votesThanks for your feedback. Finding stops close by enroute to your destination
First, I am a highly experienced WAZE user and customer. I help with road hazards and posting to help other drivers, as much as I can. On a recent trip from New Jersey to Florida, using WAVE constantly, we wanted to find the upcoming Rest Stops or Gas Stations, that were upcoming ahead and "enroute" to our destination. I found it hard to believe that this feature does not exist?! When I was looking for a car wash or gas station, it gave every destination, all over the place in a circumference, behind us, 40 miles away...instead of enroute, 5-10…

Limit weather alerts
Limit the weather alerts so they are not distracting. Driving in severe weather yesterday I kept getting weather and slippery road alerts every few seconds which caused a distraction. I ended up turning off the volume so I could focus on the road. Seems like there could be a filter similar to traffic that limits the number of alerts in a given area while still conveying the initial alert.

Make the speed limit bigger and permanently visible on screen. I don’t like having to make it appear by driving a little faster
Can you make the speed limit stay on permanently. And bigger. It’s too small and takes a number of seconds (eyes off road seconds) to glance down looking for it. When unsure of the speed limit in areas where it changes a lot then the only way to make it appear is to drive faster and look for what point it flashes up. This is not safe. I would love it to just be there all of the time.

Please allow us to warn travelers of raunchy restrooms.
Restrooms are vital to travel. Help us protect each other from establishments that neglect this vital area.

Car Park Rates
Kindly add in carpark parking rates if possible. Currently the function to view possible nearby parking areas/lots is very useful but it'll be a plus if charging rates are included.

A real travel together option
Maybe this doesn’t happen often, but if two or more people are traveling separately but headed in the same direction, it would be nice to see each other on the map. Either traveler could add detours to the travel plans, i.e. food stops, rest areas, gas stations, so that everyone can stop together if need be. Driving in the same car isn’t always an option over long distances and giving directions over a phone while someone is driving is messy at best, especially when driving in unfamiliar areas. Hopefully this makes sense. I’m going to be moving to…

Have more categories for landmarks.
One example is Golf Course (and it would be great if it is shows up as green on the maps)
Another is Construction Zone. Users can identify construction zone in the map editor to warn other user (especially those who are not familiar to the area) of potential heavy vehicles entering and exiting the construction site (a more permanent thing instead of having to report it daily)

I need help
If my car breaks down, I'd be happy to report it to other Waze users in the area.

REINSTATING THE PREVIOUSLY USED ADDRESSES FUNCTION WHILE DRIVING
Prior to driving to a new area or a new destination I will drop in addresses/locations into Waze and use them as waypoints as I am traveling. Also, when I am in a new area and I have previously found businesses, etc. that I frequent I would like to be able to have access to those address locations while I am driving like before. Now with the new voice only look up of a business while driving I no longer have access to said previously located addresses or waypoints while driving. I cannot begin to tell you how frustrating this…

Multiple nearby incidents
Waze does not allow for reporting of multiple incidents of the same type in a short distance. If I report a car on the shoulder for example (or if there is already an existing report of said car) and I go to report a second one, if I'm still close enough to the first report it will limp them together. I feel like there should be a pop up saying "there is already report of a car on the shoulder in this area. Is this the same incident or are you reporting a new one?" And then allow me…

Add a "prefer main roads" option
Whenever I visit an area that I'm not familiar with, Waze tends to find the fastest possible route to where I'm going, which often involves cutting through residential areas or some narrow back road. This is great if someone is late or wants to do whatever it takes to get somewhere as fast as possible, but I would love an option to prefer main roads, even if it adds a few minutes to my trip, just so the drive is as easy and safe as possible.

Feature suggestion
I would like to see a feature that displays the speed limit for the area where you are.

Collapse like notices
Change it so all like notifications in an area are counted as a thumbs up instead of a repeated new notification.
For example: I only need to see 1 police notification, not the 6 others that tried to report the same thing as new at the exact same place.
This is annoying and leads to clutter that takes numerous users to try to clean up after it’s no longer valid.

I was wanting to ask if you could post the speed limit signs for the areas on the map.

Add a road hazard called Federal Police
Add "Federal Police" to the hazard list to inform others that Immigration authorities are active in the area.

Displays too much of the roads around
When navigating the map shows at least 1/2 mile of the surrounding area - totally unnecessary , please make the map more immediate (not showing everything around ) like Tom Tom and Google maps so the map your looking at is the immediate area around you so will be more detailed ( like when it zooms in on a junction )

PLEASE improve auto routing feature
Since its implementation I've HATED that Waze...after a short interval...automatically chooses one route (out of several options). The time allotted is not nearly long enough to allow for an informed choice (at least not in a densely populated area where there are several options). If two or three routes are very close in travel time, the shorter one may have higher tolls or traffic slow downs...and I want to assess each one. At least, allow users to turn off the auto route option. I, for one, know my area well and the advantages/disadvantages of each route, and don't want Waze…

Hazard reporting when not driving
There needs to be a way to report hazards after you’ve driven / not while your in the current area. I’ve been in multiple situations where there has been a hazard like a crash or roadworks where i’m not in a position to be using my phone while driving as to fully pay attention to my surroundings. I feel only having hazard reporting able to work while driving is a bit dangerous and by including the ability to report things you’ve encountered on your drive at home or when your not behind the wheel would benefit the safety of…
