In honor of White Cane Safety Day, create a alert to drivers that notifies the driver a person using a white cane is ahead.
A person with a visual impairment can log on to the app and WAZE will track the user as they walk.

Nobody can walk into NYC from Jersey City/Hoboken. You need to drive a vehicle or take a bus. Seems really tone def. I'm just following instructions from your twitter account. Would love for you to work with the port authority of new york / new jersey to get a bike lane or some way for pedestrians to walk under the tunnel.

rotate the map when stopped to know which direction to go
Rotate the map by rotating the phone. Currently there is only the option to rotate the vehicle indicator, it should have the option to rotate the map when pointing the phone in the direction you are going, so it would be easier to know which direction to go when you leave, as you only realize that you are going in the wrong direction after walking a few meters.

So in the cities instead of taking me to the exact address it should take me to the other corner or across the street or a few feet away and save time. typically it could be saving 10 minutes to a half an hour

Add bike lanes on roads
There should be an option where you can see bike lanes, it can pop up on the side of roads that actually have bike lanes. If there is a bike lane and you need to turn where the bike lane is, it could give you a warning to watch for cyclists in the bike lane. With adding bike lanes, you can even add a feature for cyclists! When you put in your destination on Waze, there could be a pop up that is a little button which says CAR or BIKE. I faced an issue recently while using the app in Najaf, Iraq. I was very close to my destination (car showrooms), but the app gave me a long and unnecessary route, even though I was already facing the right direction and there was no traffic. My car was parked on the side of the road.
I suggest adding a "Walking Mode" for short distances, so users can reach nearby destinations more efficiently without being redirected through long driving routes.

Sightseeing Mode
The idea is to have a SIGHTSEEING MODE , that you can choose when your using navigation. As you are driving / walking / biking etc. through a area this mode will tell you out load any interesting points about the area you are passing .
For instance we just did a family road trip through Iceland . We would have loved for navigation to talk to us as we pass cool places , Like "To your right a glacier called ... it is 700 miles long and in 1984 it melted and flooded this entire are etc.

Parking around destination
When you start to navigate to an address you'll have the option to "navigate to parking" and Waze will take you to the closest parking around. after the parking Waze will navigate you in "walk mode" to the real destination.

Waze can currently direct your partial walking route when it’s a part of a drive or carpool.
We are currently not planning on adding walking mode for complete routes.

Improvement
I’m a regular Waze user and I really appreciate how the app helps me plan my drives. However, I’ve noticed there’s no option to fine-tune the arrival time in smaller increments—like adding an extra 5 or 10 minutes to account for parking or walking time after I arrive at my destination.
It would be incredibly helpful if a future update could include more flexible arrival time settings. This would let users plan for those little extra minutes we need after parking, ensuring we truly arrive on time.

Wake up command and Voice Reporting
Hi the New beta is fine but we still need a button to report by speech, because you are still forced to press buttons on smartphone to report a situation we need a wake up command IN WAZE
(like hi Waze please report traffic ahead). Or Hi Waze Report. And Waze says: what would you like to report? Traffic ahead.

Add quick switch button for walk/drive switching just like Google Map
When you are far from a car park, you need to walk for a while, however, Waze just shows you the driveways but not walkways...if Waze add this functions to the UI than it should be as good as Google Map or even better. Thx!

Select safer way by following someone if alternative route is similar time
Safely travel means to follow others. Like on festivals inside crowds ==> people tend to walk together = crowd pulls you. Basically we should drive in circles. While road has dashed line, we better don't want to meet many cars in opposite direction. This can avoid mamy accidents by front crash. Similar road arrangement can be seen ie. also on some festivals so it is not just a dream!! I prefer to come 10min late than never [+]. Waze should offer this always (on dashed line roads).

BEACON FUNCTIONS
Create a new menu with several options for the beacon function: pedestrian walking along the road, cyclist, slow heavy vehicle, or stopped car. Currently, this option does not exist.
When a vehicle stops, it could be beaconed and detected by other vehicles, without the need for the driver who sees it to manually navigate the Waze menu to report it — making it much safer.
Another option would be for cyclists or pedestrians to beacon themselves, so that other vehicles would receive a warning signal when approaching a cyclist or pedestrian who is moving at a slower speed and could…

It would be very interesting to have an option button to add a warning alert for "danger zones", so users could share an alert about locations that are not safe to walk around.

Send lane INTERDICTION alert through the vehicle's multimedia.
Hello, I believe that the following idea is an improvement and it is not a possible bug solution, because the functionality would have been tested before the release of the version.
When trying to send a lane interdiction alert through the vehicle's multimedia, the option does not appear, just using the cell phone without mirroring, I am using a cell phone with an IOS operating system, but the same behavior is seen with cell phones with an Android operating system.
Particularly, I don't walk with my cell phone in hand while driving, nor would I like to stop the vehicle…

Car-pooling feature
If waze is saying that it is real time it should be realtime, and not delayed by several minutes.
Car pooling feature should be added! To this there are several problems/issues.
i should be able ta preplan a route. Then hit go when i need it. I dont have the time to put in the different adresses every morning.
i should be able to navigation to a moving target. If im to pickup someone he May not be at his house. He may have walked to a place where it is easier for me to pick him up.

Would like carpool system for non-commute activities
We need a way to connect people in carpools who are going to the same hike or outing, or perhaps a concert or performance. Different from a commute carpool in that each occasion is unique.
People in outdoor organizations care about their carbon footprint, yet unless they are actual friends with someone they usually don’t have a way to arrange rides or carpooling.
It would be great to be able to have each club sponsor/pay for Waze and enable all their members planning to go on a specific outing to connect with each other to arrange to carpool. Pet Waze
Hi there! During these difficult times, I find that I feel better when I walk my dogs, although, others have that same idea! I was wondering if it is feasible to make a Pet Waze so others know where to avoid and be healthy! Also, after the pandemic is finally over (more or less), where other Wazers are like for traffic to let others know where is the best walk or don't go that route for some reason (also to have ads for just pet owners!). Parking spot
The find your car when you cannot remember where you parked is a great idea! I’ve needed it a couple of times already. However, it is not working… the car is there in the map, but the directions to walk to it, do not appear in the screen. I’ve tried the only thing that seems appropriate, which is to click on the car’s icon, but the only option in there is to send your location to someone else. I wish you could make this feature a little bit more user friendly. Thank you!
