1. Improve finding of places/business to drive to

   Currently, when searching for a business or place to drive to, it often does not find the business. Or, it shows a list of businesses with the same name but no address or city. For example, if I search for "Kaiser" it shows a bunch of Kaiser Hospital names with no address or city. And it doesn't at all show the one that is closest to me. So, I don't know which one is closer. I end up often having to use google maps and navigation to find places and get routed there. Need to allow us an easy way (by phone) to add a name and address of a business that is not showing up on your results screen too.

2. Voice activated hazard reporting

   Hi,
   I would like to suggest getting,
   1. AI technology for self learning and improving maps as in some instances wazers know better routes to that of the waze map.
   2. Voice activated controls in reporting hazards - in the UK unfortunately even tapping the phone while driving can lead to prosecution and driving bans. If somehow, waze can be voice activated when reporting hazards or police presence, etc. For example we say, "Hey Google" to activate and request Google assistance.
   In waze we already can voice activate destinations through Google assistance.
   My point is to avoid touching the phone during driving.

3. Fix routing around large bodies of water e.g. Lake Michigan

   For example, when I travel from Milwaukee to Detroit, I have to use Google Maps because Waze can't figure out how to drive around Lake Michigan. It's been like this for years and would be great if it could get fixed. The only way I can get it to work is to do a trip from Milwaukee to Chicago and then from Chicago to Detroit.

4. Control real de FAVORITOS

   Si bien hay ideas similares en el foro, planteo lo siguiente:

   Los favoritos deberían ser administrados, ordenados en un menú Favoritos de las siguientes formas:

   • Personalizado (Primero los que el wazers prefiera, uno ordena sus favoritos de la forma que necesite (existente))
   • Alfabético (primero los favoritos con número o letra A)
   • Orden de ingreso (Primero los ingresados recientemente, considerar la fecha de ingreso al listado del más nuevo al más antiguo)
   • Orden más frecuente (primero en la lista el destino más frecuente)

   Esto que se vea en pestañas dentro del menú Favoritos.
   Por último que

   Otras pestañas más para:
   - Eventos del calendario
   - Contactos del teléfono con dirección ingresada
   - Lugares NO Favoritos (esporádicos marcados desde el mapa)

   Finalmente que los favoritos puedan ser administrados desde la sesión en PC, no solamente desde el teléfono, para una mayor comodidad en la edición.

5. Voice

   Love the app last time I suggested you guys some thing you almost instantly had it up and going which would have been the night mode thought of some thing else for you guys since I use you on a regular base and cops are getting bad on using phones while driving let's do like googles famous "ok google" but instead have a feature for Waze for reporting things instead of using our phones while driving "Wakey Waze" would be a kool idea for a catchy way to wake up the app.

   Oh and out of curiosity any idea if you will ever start up a standalone system so we are not using the data off our phones?

8. show public transportation routes

   We're in a climate crisis and everybody should drive less when there are alternatives available.
   Waze should help with that by suggesting Public Transportation or bicycle routes when selecting a destination, when those routes are viable alternatives (don't bother showing a 3h bus route for a 10 min drive).
   This could be similar to Google Maps and use the same data.
   Just by showing that there are alternatives, the user might be tempted to try them.
   This might be specially useful when driving in cities that have car restrictions, dedicated bus lanes or good bicycle infrastructure that rivals congestion, where driving takes longer than the alternatives.

10. Route color coding.

    In navigation programs currently route to go is shown in single colour.
    It can be colour coded to show descent and ascent, with intensity of colour changing according to steepness.
    That would decrease risks when overtaking, as descents are hard to spot, and another car can be hiding there.
    Current maps can be updated, when there are changes in altitude not matching ones known in app. No manual work would be needed; averages of reporting can be used.

13. Use (AI) to Track Traffic slowdowns

    Since most OS now are coming with AI, Google/apple etc. Use this info from the map as I drive, Speed indicator,Posted speed and GPS, use the AI to calculate slow downs, This should also be available offline.

15. Doing more than one stop is just a pain. Going back to Google maps

    I entered more than one destination. Swapping destinations impossible. No flag to show different destinations along the entire route. Just s pain

16. Calculate the best route based on both shorter time and distance. Not just one of them.

    I prefer the fastest way, but only when it is reasonable.
    I can never trust the option automatically suggested for me and I always find myself checking the routes. In many cases I switch to the second option.
    For example:
    Option 1: 49 minutes, 58 Km
    Option 2: 50 minutes, 47 Km
    I would rather spend 2% more time than spend 21% more fuel...

    Most people would prefer spending another minute in this case. Why do we always have to bother going to the routes to find out.

    The user can select his preference for either shortest or fastest way but I want the fastest way that is still reasonable.
    Let us define the time/distance trade-off we prefer, or at least define a reasonable hard-coded default.

17. Please give back functionality to have Map when connected to Android Auto

    Google who owns Android Auto and Waze should allow the user to decide preference for map or directions when connected to Android Auto. Given many factors one or the other could be a lot safer so the new way of forced directions is Not for safety. Need to place a setting to choice or give back functionality. The workaround of reverting back to previous version and Never updated an app is ridiculous cause could miss out on many good features introduced. Come on Google don't be like Apple and dictate what we can do... That is anti Android.

    Plus it does not make sense cause not like y'all are migrating to Waze and gonna abandon Google Maps. Heck I love to have Google maps on my console and Waze map on my phone. Perfect and safest thing for me and I am sure a lot others.

18. CarPlay Home Screen

    Recently the Google maps have been updated to the latest version and they received a new option, now they can be launched on the CarPlay home screen which is divided in to 2 parts, before that there was able to use Apple maps only at that way. This is super comfy tool. Pls look at the pic. below

20. Make it so that I can just see a map with my entire route to work with traffic issues, police, etc shown.

    Why should the default be turn by turn to work? That actually doesn't make sense. If I tap on work, I should see the complete map to see what traffic looks like, not some voice telling me how to navigate a drive I have done most days for 10 years. This is in fact so obvious that I can't believe that's not the way it is already. If you do that one thing, I will start using the app every day, and it will be wonderful. For now I guess I will keep using google maps every day.
