Electrical Map in Puerto Rico will attract millions users
Adding and Electrical Map, will give Waze a millions of users!
Since Hurricane Maria, hundreds of roads and bridges where destroyed, signs that does not exist anymore, and roads with a mile of holes. Lately it is so dificult to drive on some roads. Specially those without electricuty jet, 7 month later of hurricane Maria.
Letting people tag place without electricity, not only give the driver the alert, but will atract a thousand, even million ppl in the island, to repport their house or street.

Tapping on a specific position on the map should bring up a menu just like in the phone app.
When holding your finger on a position on the map, a menu should be brought up permitting you to save the address, or go to it. This is too practical to be ignored as a functionality..

North Up only in 2D
When the Map is set to Auto (2D and 3D) with North Up preference set, please only show the 2D map in North Up. As a 3D map also being North Up doesn't make sense since it hides almost all upcoming map content unless driving due north (car traveling sideways to map view). North Up is only useful in 2D maps.

better display and choics
I have a 2022 Mazda C5. The fonts on the screen are in bold and not very sharp and clear.. Also, when I switch to Spotify as the main display Waze disappears.. Does not trade places like Google Maps. My display has a split screen, 60/40. Initially, Google maps is 60% and Spotify is 40% on start up. I can swap places, 660% Spotify and 40% Maps. Can't do that with Waze

Map and routes improvement
The waze map in the middle is very busy it shows the turning whit white and you cannot see it as road names and other wazers avatar is on the map...I would suggest to pop road names towards the side of the map...and another idea is to input car make/model and you give is routes to avoid widht/height restrictions....very useful in London

for all clients expose an API
for Android expose:
• intents
• broadcast intents
• application shortcutsfor the slightly savvier user this allows accelerated navigation by macro (Tasker, Llama, OmniDroid, et al)
API allows for similar macro- or automation apps on iOS (ipad, iPhone), windows mobile, other platforms surely
instead of

Default app on android
A lot of apps use a google maps url to start the navigation from the app. Usually Google maps will then be started by Android. I would like to use Waze to be the default app instead of google maps, which can be achieved through the app settings and allow it to open the supported web links. But this list of supported web links is very short, especially when comparing it to Google maps. Maps.google.com is there, but a localised link like maps.google.nl is not there, so when the apps which initiates the navigation is using…

Heads up display issues
I regularly use Android Auto which integrates nicely with my BMW's heads up display. When using Waze, there are two issues I notice immediately. The first are the suggested lanes is not displayed, yet Google Maps will show the lanes. Also, when a specific font is used, the characters don't show correctly. Instead I get question marks. I have images to share, but don't know how through this site.

using Bluetooth to update GPS devices
I can see waze incident reports in Google maps. Why not use the Bluetooth link already established between some smartphone and GPS devices to update traffic data on the GPS device? My garmin already talks to an app on my android, I'd much rather waze data was picked-up and displayed on the device screen...

waze on instrumental cluster for new Mercedes from 2023 c, e, glc, s class MBUX 2.6
Now new Mercedes with MBUX 2.6 has maps (but just a oroginal MB maps) on instrumental cluster in 2 options (see photos). If we can choose waze carplay option on this screen, that would be amazing!!! Thanks

Android Auto
2022 Chevrolet Blazer with Android Auto is still having freezing issues that's forcing me to use other navigation software. Sygic, Google Maps & Here maps software work fine. I really don't want to abandon Waze because it's now the worst navigation software on Android Auto!

Sale to Google
I really wish you hadn't sold to Google. I know it means lots of money for you but it means my privacy using your app is gone. And most likely, they will close you down and try to force me to Google maps but I won't use the app.
I know one person won't make a difference, but when the sale is completed I will stop using Waze.

The map should be able to display on the phone, even if CarPlay is active
Please can there be the option of keeping navigation running on the phone screen, even if CarPlay is enabled. CarPlay Display Units are often down low (where car radios used to be), and looking at that as your satnav is dangerous and distracting. Keeping the map on the phone will enable safer driving and a happier Apple and Waze customer base

show public transportation routes
We're in a climate crisis and everybody should drive less when there are alternatives available.
Waze should help with that by suggesting Public Transportation or bicycle routes when selecting a destination, when those routes are viable alternatives (don't bother showing a 3h bus route for a 10 min drive).
This could be similar to Google Maps and use the same data.
Just by showing that there are alternatives, the user might be tempted to try them.
This might be specially useful when driving in cities that have car restrictions, dedicated bus lanes or good bicycle infrastructure that rivals congestion, where…9 votes -

Please add Siri Shortcuts support for hazard and police reporting in Waze on iOS. This would allow users—especially those using CarPlay or driving hands-free—to report visual sightings safely and legally.
Apple Maps already supports this (“Hey Siri, report a speed check”), but Waze does not. Since Waze has the most active crowdsourcing community, this feature would significantly improve:
• Driver safety (hands-free hazard reporting)
• Community contribution (more real-time data from CarPlay users)
