1. Voice ads instead of popping ads that would block the navigation screen.

   Hi Waze team, have an idea/suggestion...

   Instead of popping out ads during users’ navigation, why not let the Voice Direction narrate the ads? So it would be a voice ad, like in the fm radio. And you can also add a cute lil “go-to” button on the navigation screen so users can tap on it and gets navigated to the shop/advertiser if applicable and necessary.

   Reason being is; when you pop out ads while users are navigating, typically it would block the navigation screen, and users would just:
   - either ignore with hopes that the ad would go away quickly and they won’t miss out any junctions
   - or ignore as they’re focusing with their eyes on the road
   - or tap on the navigation screen so the ad would be closed, which causes unnecessary hassle when the driver needs to drive

   If a voice-ad were to be implemented, potential outcome would be;
   - users would listen and pay attention
   - users would be happier as it doesn’t block the navigation screen
   - they would be more interested in the ad as it’s more convenient

   Things to look out for to implement this;
   - voice ads can only be played for a short period of time, (ie; 5secs), make it catchy!
   - voice ads have to be played when the next junction is at least approx 2mins away (ie; when users are 2km away from next junction/turn with standard speed)

   Not sure if this has already been implemented, haven’t seen it in my country yet. If this is already in place, look forward for it to be in my country!

   Thank you for your suggestion! We try to make our ads as useful as possible to Wazers. An ad-free version is not planned for the near future.

2. Wake up command and Voice Reporting

   Hi the New beta is fine but we still need a button to report by speech, because you are still forced to press buttons on smartphone to report a situation we need a wake up command IN WAZE

   (like hi Waze please report traffic ahead). Or Hi Waze Report. And Waze says: what would you like to report? Traffic ahead.

   Not waze it does nothing in Waze. Only google maps!

   I noticed Waze doesn't have a

   Report person walking on road yet
   Report Vehicle on Left side of the road yet
   Report vehicle standing still yet

   Waze stays more unsafe till there is a solution where drivers using Waze don't have to let go of their steering wheel and gear.

   Best Waze improvement of 2025 will be Report 100% handsfree by voice activation. In several european languages

4. Flemish voice with streetnames

   Today only Femke (dutch) only support streetnames.
   Flemish people are obliged to listen to a dutch accent to have those streetnames. 6,5 million inhabitants do live in Flanders.
   With Thomas we do not have streetnames.
   The advertissements in Flanders are also in Flemish so...

6. Airplane icon and Air Traffic Control voice

   There should be an option to have a commercial airplane as your vehicle icon while driving. I also think it would be cool to have a voice that sounds like Air Traffic Control and alert sounds similar to what you would hear in an airplane.

9. Voice-over lady comments have to end!!!!

   The voice-over ladies comments are absolutely annoying when you travel across country or just in our city...just stick to the facts without all the other quirky comments she makes. I.e...police ahead....don't need to include "and that is all I have to say about that!' PLEASE STOP THIS ANNOYANCE IMMEDIATELY. We don't need her commentary.

    It would be nice if you create an application or a device like mobeli that instruct the driver without him looking at his phone , I tried it with the normal waze running in the background and it was very helpful

12. Implement user-configurable delay (in increments of 0.1 sec) for voice alerts

    Some vehicle Bluetooth implementations have lengthy handshaking which prevents the first second or two of Waze voice alerts from actually being heard. My car has a feature that ramps up the volume of a Bluetooth phone incrementally on first connection. However, the impact is that in most driving situations, the first two seconds are simply too quiet to be heard!

    For example, instead of "In 500 metres, turn right onto Main Street.", all you hear is ".. to Main Street". Obviously, this information is unclear and confusing, forcing the driver to glance at the map on the phone to verify what exactly is being directed - not only annoying, but it unnecessarily compromises safety!

    My suggestion is to implement a feature where the user can configure a number of tenths of seconds delay for voice alerts, during which Waze would actually transmit silence - the default delay of course would be zero. This would satisfy any in-vehicle delay of the sound due to handshaking latency or any reason, while having no negative impact on any user who doesn't suffer this problem.

13. Voice option

    Hello dear one. I normally use waze software in Tehran Iran. In language selection for US were 5 options: The 1st. one e.v. Jane( I am not sure with the exact ), Amy, Boy Bond, Nathan, and Randy. Newly the first one option is omitted. The advantage of the omitted one was the expression of every rout like name of street, highway, alley, and etc. With this option never could make mistake in exact rout driving. Now you have omitted this advantage. I am requesting to add this option if possible.

    I work in advertising. We have a partner who wants to show baners on waze. That promotes looking at your phone while driving. Well what if you could talk to Waze or they could ask you what you need as you're approcahing. For example: GPS/Smart Fence with voice command/recognition asking "do you need gas?" Y - "there is a __ station in .5 miles". N - no response. Same w/ ATMs and food. "Are you hungry?" Y - "there is___ restaurant __miles." This allows waze to partner up with many vendors and have a lasting relationship promoting their brands. This also keeps drivers hands free and safe.
