  1. Suggested improvements to display

UConnect system is installed in my Jeep Grand Cherokee. I don't use it due to the cost of upgrading the map. But, I do like some of its features that would greatly benefit Waze. I have screen shots available if needed but don't see a way to add to this post.
    - Show the name of the actual city/town that your in. Really helps when traveling
    - Show highway signs on map that exactly match the highway road signs (image wise) when exiting, merging, etc. EXTREMELY helpful in large cities and enhances road lane guidance
    - Enhance and zoom guidance…

  2. Automatic rerouting improvement

When creating a route on a highway with both "cars only" part and "trucks and buses" part Waze often leads me on the "trucks and buses" part of the highway for no reason (even though it's clearly stated in the settings that I drive a private car, not a truck or a bus). For example on I-95 highway in the north-eastern US.
Now when I'm aware of this problem I ignore Waze's directions and take the "cars only" part of the highway. It's faster in 99% of the cases.
However, for the next 30 miles (or even more) Waze suggests…

  3. gives users more info when they report map issues

    Hi.
i want to say that at one time I reported a road closure, and when entering the options, I only saw the addition of a "comment". I wanted to include the street name so that the report would be clear, but I had to go out again, read the street name, and return to the report again! Can you imagine these steps while I am driving the vehicle? It's kinda complicated. I suggest adding a screen below the report "whatever kind" that shows you your location, the names of the streets around you, and the directions. "In order…

  4. closed railroad cros

They are working here on some railroad lanes. That makes the railroad crossings are closed for weeks.
There is no way to add this in waze.

  5. Camera AI

Use the camera along with AI and any dash mount to recognize lanes. Additionally, with some fine tuning of an AI, recognize when the driver witnesses a wreck, confirm it was a wreck, and then send a recording to police along with contact info for driver.

  6. Would be cool if there was a "motorcycle" mode

Would be cool if there was a "motorcycle" mode which prioritized freeway driving (and gives even higher priority to any freeways with a carpool or express lane), or at least try not to make you go through a bunch of hoops to go around traffic. sadly I was listening what waze told me to do...getting on and off fwy and taking sidestreets, my journey took twice as long as had i ignored waze and stayed on freeway. But having a motorcycle mode would be great in getting better ETA, and make sure it doesn't "corrupt" others ETA, It be…

  7. Be able to mark passing places in country lanes like you can potholes.

When going down narrow country lanes wide enough for one car it would be great be able to mark passing places like you can pot holes. So many times you meet another car and wonder where the next passing place is.

  8. Improve Waze for all (professional drivers like taxi drivers, truck drivers and bus drivers as well)

Feedback for Waze Improvements (Australia-specific but globally relevant):
    1. Map and Speed Limit Accuracy
    • Please update maps and speed limit data more frequently, especially in Australia where road rules and limits are often updated.
    • Ensure that the speedometer always shows the correct speed limit without disappearing or failing, as this can mislead drivers and cause unintentional speeding.
    • Improve reliability so the speedometer never stops working unexpectedly.
    2. Audible Alerts and Driver Focus
    • Introduce louder and clearer spoken alerts for every speed limit change, so drivers do not have to look at their phone screen.
    • Provide…

  9. Routs and navigation

    Dear Waze Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I'm a delighted user of Waze, and as a new driver, I've encountered a challenge with back-to-back exits on roads. Specifically, I've noticed two types of road markings: a fully white line, indicating we should stay, and a faint white line, suggesting we shouldn't.

I'd like to propose an enhancement to address this issue. Adding one more sign, colored green, could provide a comprehensive solution. Here's the breakdown:

    1. Green Line: Indicates it's safe ahead, and there's no need to change lanes.
    2. White Line: Signifies it's safe to stay, but…

  10. Gives the option to cancel a Waze direction change order and recalculate

When we are on a path of two parallel lanes in the same direction, and you being on the track 01 the Waze commands you to go to the track 02, if you stay on track 01 the Waze understands that you went to the track 2 (perhaps by proximity of two lanes).

The problem here is that the Waze calculates the speed of the track 02 taking your car as reference, however it is on the track 01. Thus the track 01 would be the best option, but for this error that indicates that you (and others…

  11. U.K. Motorway Variable speed limits

Is there a way that Waze can receive an information feed of the U.K. motorway variable speed limits?
I am sure this must exist and have the ability to be tapped into.
The M25, is a great example, but there are many more motorways across the country, often have variable speed limits posted on signs above the lanes. These can change depending on the operators and in response to incidents or traffic conditions.
It would be incredibly useful to be able to see on the Waze screen what the current limit is, and to know that it is current.

When inputting hazards there should be an option on highways to say cops are in the median between the lanes.

  14. More control for emergency workers and traffic management

I'm a press photographer in the Netherlands and I see a lot of incidents for my work. By adding some tools, workers on the road can easily report problems and even instructions. For an example: When an accident happens there is sometimes a lot of debris on the road, even though some lanes are still open it's possible that there is debris on those lanes. By adding information, drivers can better adapt to the situations. Adding a tool to give traffic management the option to give information can improve the safety of the people who need to take…

    Hi,

I live in Northern Virginia in the Washington DC suburbs. Many of my trips take me around the DC Beltway and on other roads that have "Hot Lanes." The Hot Lanes generally operate next to the regular lanes, but being toll lanes, sometimes move faster, which is why some people use them.

Most of the time, I don't use Hot Lanes because most of the time, they don't get me there appreciably faster and are not worth the money. There have, however, been times when I would have liked to have known how much…

  16. Improper hazard alerts for vehicles parked on road shoulders

In the city where I live, some roads have shoulders on one or both sides. We know that these areas are not traffic lanes, but are intended for vehicles to stop or park temporarily. However, every day, no matter which route I take, I keep receiving the alert “hazard reported – vehicle stopped.” I can see that people are reporting this incorrectly, since a vehicle stopped on the shoulder is not a hazard. This alert should only appear when a vehicle is stopped on the actual lane, truly obstructing the way. Therefore, I believe this warning should only…

  17. Waze routing changes with little or no notice.

The past few times we have used Waze the routing was changed with little to no notice. I'm not talking about missing a turn and having to recalculate but, drive along an interstate for example and have it say X miles to go on the road and then a few minutes change to take the next exit in half a mile. Meanwhile you're in the left or center lane with no hope of getting over. It has created a situation where you have monitor the screen all the time because it does not give you notice of the route change.…

  18. The timing of voice alerts when taking turns and the option to add multiple stops.

It would be better if the voice alerts atleast 80-100 meters in advance of turns, so that it will be easier for the drivers to take their respective lanes accordingly, and if add self arranged/organised mutiple stops it will be much better for drivers and delivery partners

  19. Automatically remove pop up boxes under certain conditions

Please program an if/then response to automatically remove (without interaction) floating boxes when a road or lane change is required.

Please make floating boxes automatically disappear within .1 miles of an intersection requiring a turn.

They block the most important info that is needed, the actual map and road view.

A priority rule should be programmed in the app.

On highly congested roadways and unfamiliar highway interchanges, it is completely unsafe to read or click "still there" when that text box is covering all of the important lane information needed to get on or off in the correct lane of…

  20. Show factors that impact route prediction.

Show factors that impact route prediction.
Example: New Orleans has many closures during Mardi Gras season.
I had Waze show route to a Burger King that I knew would be impacted by closures. The pre-route screen did not show any information that would hint to the problem.
The route did come up as expected that was far from a direct route.
Then checking the map in Waze, it did show the many closures that the route page did not.

Waze should show closures, traffic, Hazzard Reports and anything else that would impact the route.
