Alerts on “Map View” when choosing routes
Whenever you type a destination it gives you 3 route options with lines in “List View” that show potential hazards, traffic and visible police. You should also have those same hazards show up when you click “Map View” and see the 3 different colored routes, so there is a better visual as to where those “alerts” are actually located. This would be easier than having to guess by the line.

Send push notification of danger / police when waze isnt open.
Hi, so let's say you get in your car, you're just going to Walmart. You know where walmart is.. so you don't open waze. There's a cop/ object on road on your road. Waze sends u a push notification alerting you even if it's not actively open on your phone.
Yes this will waste battery but hear me out.
You can make it where you choose what kinds of alerts you want while "offline" and to save battery you can code the app to launch in the background only while driving. So it's not always a background process wasting battery. …3 votes -

Thank you for the new, "gone/still there" keys!! I love them bc I want Waze to reflect the road hazard with 100% accuracy!

Mexican Fruit Stands!
Let people tag a fruit vendor when they see one on the sidewalk. I live in Los Angeles and I use Waze when I’m traveling and I don’t really like fattening foods. So often time I crave those fruit vendors we all see on the side of the road. They make some amazing fruit cups with Spices and sauces all over them. I would love if we can tag them when we see them. Waze fuel saver - for when you are not desperate for fuel.
I currently manually search for the best fuel prices in my home area. Then for my commute to work, and then when I get to work I search that area too and then find the cheapest fuel.
What if this could be an automated process (fuel saver) for when you aren't desperate for fuel (search home area, along regularly travelled routes, and around regular destinations). My fuel cost is often around 2-4% cheaper by doing this!
It could also be tuned for savings vs effort/cost of driving out your way to get a better price.

4th sound option: only say things once.
add a 4th sound option for when i do want audible navigation, but don't want anna (that's what i named her) telling me the same thing over and over the closer i get. i only need to hear it once. maybe just at the half-mile mark?
this gets especially annoying when the prompt is, like, 30 words long, and is repeated several times, consecutively, because i'm driving at highway speeds, and go from 1 mile, to a ½ mile, to 500 feet, etc., with her prompting me before she's even done with the previous prompt.

What have you done with Kate? For a while, a second voice occasionally interrupted her flow; a wee while later, a second voice joined the annoying interruptions. Now, Waze claims to have fixed the issue – but that is that Kate’s voice is now completely different: deeper in tone, accented, drops Ts, and is really grating. I have tried the other two female voices, and don’t like either of them…which is why I chose Kate! Why has Waze limited the UK options to just three? Airport interactive app
Love your map. And Im great at telling other people what to do. Most people panic about how early to get to an airport. What about an interactive app for people to report how busy the airport is. Each terminal, each airline. Lines long or short? Long term parking at x is wide open. Come in from thw east cuz west is backed up. I know you get the idea. Do me a favor and start with Sky Harbor. Compare Waze suggested route with actual route taken
Sometimes I decide to deviate from the Waze-suggested route, in which case Waze updates its routing information accordingly.
I would love to be able to see what would have happened hadn't I deviated. In other words, a comparison of where I am versus where I would have been had I not change my route.3 votes -

Node Types - Multi use and meaningful for routes (Traffic Lights, Lane Guidance, etc)
An intersection always has a node, this node could become much more meaningful than simple turns and could significantly enhance the functionality of Waze (albeit with a significant development penalty).
By adding some logic to nodes you will be able to introduce some logic that will significantly enhance the ability for the routing engine to calculate superior routes when taking in things like traffic light penalties and other metrics.

Six essential functions when using apps on mobile phones
Recommendations for the Waze app:
1. Add setting item: Speed adjustment is a slider from 0 to 15km/h to compensate for slower speed compared to reality due to gps latency
2. Change the current speeding warning threshold setting menu to a slider with values from -20km/h to 20km/h so that users can choose the appropriate warning threshold for each need.
3. Add voice speed warning sound option

Speak command icon near report a road condition.
I use my iphone in landscape mode and wave and 3 fingers don't work safely. A button on the main nav page near the report icon would be great to initiate the speak command

Many users search in lowercase, while the names of the tracks include uppercase letters, which distorts the results.

1. Allow more details when reporting a map issue, not just a button to report with no info. If there is a way to type in info, its not obvious or maybe we need an option to go back and add details before hitting report.
2. When sending an email to users asking for more info, tell them exactly how to do it, form letters or copy and paste are really easy.

Add the "sound" options to the "quick access" settings
Add the "sound" options to the "quick access" settings so you can tap the screen and get a sound icon (just like the zoom feature). It could give the 3 choices (on/off/alerts only). Currently it is difficult to turn sound on/off which I often do.

latest waze version in Android Auto is a disaster
So the lates waze version was so frustrating, that I uninstalled it and went back a version.
1. The map is very slow - if you try to move the map around to see what's ahead it moves very slow and advances very little.
