Personal speed limit for electric cars
As I recently done 800 miles with my zoe, I found that the fastest route is not actual fast.
Generally, best range can be achieved by keeping speed around 56 mph at motorway for an electric car.However, route optimisation has been done based on the top speed of the route unless there is a traffic.
Therefore, if we can have personalised top speed, we might different route.
5 votesGreat news! This feature is already available in Waze. It’s called Personalized ETA.
Personalized ETA setting is turned on in Settings – Navigation – Personalized ETA. Waze would analyze the drives you took in the past, calculate how long it took you to drive sections of the route, and compare this information with Waze’s estimates. Then, it uses this info to personalize your ETA whenever you search a route in Waze.
Important: Waze won’t analyze drives that you delete from your drive history. Deleting drives may disable Waze from personalizing your ETA until you take more drives.

Reporting closures from further away
Closures can currently only be reported if you're right next to the road. I can't always report it because I'm on a roundabout or having to redirect quickly so as not to cause traffic. However, I can pull over a road or two away to report it but the app doesn't allow this since I can only report it if I'm on or next to the closed road.
I think this is an essential feature that needs to be added because sometimes there aren't diversion signs and I have to find my own way around it without waze because…55 votes -
Daily Route Prompts
I would love to have a setting I can toggle, especially for saved routes.
The idea would be that I only get prompts (that interrupt my music) for hazards/traffic on my daily route since I should know that very well. Additionally, if Waze sends me a different way due to traffic or an accident ahead I would get normal turn-by-turn directions until I am back on my normal route.

Going home options
When the app first starts, it always ask if I'm going home. Many times I am, but I say no, only because I do NOT want turn-by-turn instructions for a route I know by heart and drive every day. The app should have the option to only show ETA and maybe suggest a new route for the traffic on my normal route home.

add a POTUS alert
Whenever the President or Vice president are in town the motorcade creates traffic. Add an alert using planned roads that maybe affected by the local motorcade presence.

Alerts Stuck
When starting a new trip, the first alert that appears (speed camera, traffic light camera, railway crossing, etc.) remains fixed on the screen, and after going through this alert, the alert is not deleted, it does not refresh, it does not report a new alert. The first alert that appears stays permanently... it only goes away when starting a new trip... where the first new alert that appears is stuck again.

Holiday feature to place report pins on awesome residential holiday light displays.
We took our child out last night trying to find great holiday light displays. We founds some good ones but crowd sourcing great displays would be awesome. Especially if the more people tagged a display the more prominent it would appear in Waze.

Let users customize auto tweets such as "Acabo de reportar una redada policial, ..."
Traffic enforcement corps are different from country to country so it might be a good idea to let users tweak their auto tweets a little. They might have the application configured in a language but tweet in another, etc.

ALERTS - NOTIFICATION ADVANCED BASED ON ACTUAL SPEED, NOT AT FIXED DISTANCES.
Reduce notification distance (based on speed limits, best on current average speed, better on a setting based on current average speed).
It often happens me that on city roads the navigator gives me informations about three crossroads ahead causing confusion.
I hear "traffic light with camera" I expect it to be the very next traffic light, not the the one after that.
Or "railroad crossing ahead" and I turn on a road 100m before the railroad (using waze just for map, not for actual navigation).

Carplay: add vocal search, add vocal commands for traffic problems, police, etc.., add planned event destination like phone app. Thank you

Bring back the old speedometer position (bottom left corner)
With the latest update, the speedometer on the mobile app has moved from the bottom left corner to the center of the bottom edge of the screen. This new position is distracting and interferes with map visibility, especially when checking upcoming turns or traffic info.
The previous placement in the bottom left corner was much more intuitive and out of the way. Please consider giving users the option to choose the speedometer position, or revert it back to where it was.

have you ever thought about making a bluetooth remote for updating while driving
create a remote that has the most common updates on it - cop - vehicle on the side of the road - object in road - traffic. you would have to take your eyes of the road just hit the appropriate button for updating. updates would be more accurate and more people would participate in updating which it the whole point.

Conditional use of toll roads if saves more than set percentage of time
I live in Northern Virginia (US) where we have a growing network of high occupancy toll (HOT) lanes paralleling existing roads. These come up as separate roads in Waze as they have their own on ramps and off ramps. Just to make them more fun, they have variable tolling so when traffic is more congested on the "free" lanes the toll lanes cost goes higher. The speed limit is also higher on the toll lanes so they always come out as preferred over the regular lanes for navigation.
The current Waze app allows selection to avoid or not avoid toll…

Icon size is too big in the new version
The icons in the new version are so big that the roads and the route can't be seen, particularly in traffic jammed downtowns.
Can you put an option in the settings to select the size of the warnings?

New icon for top 10% and top 1% point scorers in the nation
The crown has gotten old and I'd like to see new icons and maybe new moods available to top national scorers. Plus I'd know which icons to trust when asking questions about traffic situations.

Remove mood icon from road reports
Have you ever changed a mood icon when making a road report? Do you think it is useful to know that someone is angry when the post a traffic jam? This feature takes up room that could be used for other options such as editable quick texts that could be used to enhance road reports.

Make the nav text (under the distance) white instead of light blue to improve contrast
The current navigation text is light blue on black (which becomes dark gray under most lighting conditions) lacks contrast and becomes unreadable in many situations. Also would be good to allow for user-selectable text size to take advantage of larger displays (6 and 6 plus).

It would be nice to just disable the Search bar from view for regular driving when there is no active Waze navigation going on.
yes, I can confirm that the Search bar does indeed disappear from the view when actively navigating. However the issue is that it blocks the view at the bottom when you are just driving normally around when you don't need any navigation and you know where you are going, and you are just contributing the real-time data of the current traffic conditions and you can provide user-submitted reports along the way. It would be nice to just disable the Search bar from view for regular driving when there is no active Waze navigation going on. Thank you for your consideration.

Deviation from normal route
If traffic dictates a change from my normal route to and from work, it should make a notification. No one keeps route guidance on for their daily commute
