Allow alerts to be able to be turned off or on individually per alert for the driver
It would be useful to turn off pothole alerts and weather alerts when people miss report some of those things often

I would like a way to report when traffic lights are out or not work correctly! Specially when bad weather hits.
Sometimes traffic lights fail or sometimes they are out due to bad weather. When it does happen your stuck in a line of traffic until everyone figures out the proper protocol. Which is to treat it as a four way stop if it's an intersection. If it happens to be a major intersection it then becomes a slow nightmare waiting for your turn to get across. I would like people to have the ability to report this on the map to other drivers. This would give other drivers the option to avoid the area and take am alternative route…

Multi Directional Alerts
Multi-Directional Alerts
Weather and animals on the shoulder should be Multi-Directional Alerts.
This is true as the weather doesn't care what direction you're coming from.
Also, animals on the shoulder could cross the road and come back on again from the other side.

Weather Hazard: Add WIND Button
WIND, bridges, and tractor-trailers don't mix. Drivers encounter WIND far more than unplowed roads, floods, and ice.

Ability to select the types of hazards to enable/disable
Sometimes, certain hazards are not very helpful and are more of a distraction than anything. For example, vehicles stopped on the shoulder, weather, and missing sign are not very important and I dismiss them every time I see it. At times I feel like disabling hazards altogether.

Add a reminder NOT to leave pets in the car in hot weather.
A reminder should pop up to advise wazers NOT to leave pets/animals in the car during the summer or in hot locations. It could be added to the child reminder, or be a separate reminder. The child reminder is great but likely Pets are left more often in cars than children. It's important to add the animals.

Would let you know how recent updates were/ weather someone has cleared the road yet.

A running account of police activity.
Could display similar to weather radar color bands from high to low number of sightings per day, within some defined distance.5 votes -
Could you please have Waze send to correct side of the street, weather you drive a car or a bus , more safe to be on correct side
When you put in address Waze should send you to correct side of the street, weather you drive a car or bus it is more safe that making a U Turn, especially in a but where you cannot turn around.

What about connecting Waze to OBD port so that waze can connect to a vehicle's cruise control and maintain speed under certain conditions?
Add a feature that connects waze to a vehicles OBD to help maintain speed through vehicles cruise control to maintain speed

I sometimes receive a message from a wazer asking about traffic or the weather or police and I would like to be able to respond... after all we are a community, are we not?

Road hazard alert authorities
Extreme weather conditions cause thousands of multi car accidents each year.resulting in increase in auto insurance. Add ability to not only report weather hazardous conditions, after a certain number are reported within a specificity area, notify appropriate authorities to close roads. Adding the ability to a view real time weather on waze is much needed so we don’t have to switch apps.

It would be convenient if you can see how’s the weather over there( your destination) and a cool feature like a altimeter to see how high you are.

When marking something on the map you should be able to add info re: what ur posting
Add the ability to define what exactly you are advising others of on the map. For example; instead of just police in general adding the ability to define weather it is a speed camera or an RBT etc

Partner with TV and radio so that they can report what the Wazers are posting.
My area has poor traffic reporting. I think it would to everyone's advantage if radio and tv stations would report directly from what Waze is having posted. They could incorporate this much the same as a weather report.

It would be good to have a weather icon for frog strangling/raining cats and dogs.
When it is raining hard there is no icon, other than flooding, that denotes downpours of the frog strangling/raining cats and dogs type of rain....

Additional reporting options.
Two immediately spring to mind:
1. when reporting a weather hazard, it would be great to be able to report "sunstrike".
2. the only way to report a stopped car is as an object on the side of the road. The only hazards on the road are things like construction. I have had multiple occassions where I have come across a vehicle stopped on the road. These have not been an accident, rather they have been due to breakdown. An option in the "on road/in lane" category to advise of a stopped vehicle would be great.I love the app…
