Final destination should show the nearest parking area instead of the actual location.

Manually adjust car starting direction on the map
It would be great to have a feature to manually adjust the car's direction on the map. Often, the app assumes a starting direction and plans the route accordingly, but it doesn’t update until you start driving in the opposite direction. It would also be helpful to define the side of the street when arriving at the destination, making navigation even more accurate!

display only live-info and events relevant to the current route
Add option, that would:
- enforce event pop-ups (such as accidents, etc.) to show only if they happen on the current route to destination (no need to se events in radius when not on the route)
- display only number of events (under the icon with the red excl. mark) relevant to the current route to destination (this would help user open the live info only when there is a number indicating something going on on the route799 votes -
Big truck on side of the road.
Hello, would you consider: an option for "Big Truck" stopped on the shoulder? As someone who drives a commercial motor vehicle over a 130,000 miles a year, I can tell you that the majority of cars on the shoulder are abandoned whereas the majority of big trucks on the shoulder are broken down and or getting service at the time and there's usually a human being somewhere walking in and out of the highway at the truck is being repaired. Toll roads
When entering in a destination, please put the toll roads option there instead of in the settings. I am a driver in New York City. All day long, I would need to go into settings and check/uncheck toll roads. When I drive a passenger, of course, all the toll roads are taken, but when returning, I avoid as much as possible. Please change the tolls feature to somewhere when entering in the destination. Thank you

Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not right now, since we finalized our plans for 2023 and this idea won't be implemented this year.

Routes should default to Map View instead of List View
Upon setting a destination and clicking Routes, I would like the default view to be Maps instead of List. Please make this an option.

when driving fast on highway, don't show side streets
When driving fast on a highway, the side streets and names clutter the screen and are not necessary. Removing them would probably also save data usage.

Visualize BEST TIME TO LEAVE for a given destination (red to green). Save time if you know the peaks.
Problem
You know where to go, but want to know what would be the best time to leave to avoid peak traffic.
At the moment you a ETA, which is nice to know but doesn't help you to plan.Idea
You plan a route, get an ETA and a option to choose the best time for leaving. Could be a color coded (green to red) 24h hour-by-hour "forecast" of expected travel time (graph or simple list). This could include current traffic situation for the next few hours, averages for the rest. Also the next 2 hours could be split into…25 votes -
So destination travel time time without directions
I use Waze daily for my commute and never for directions. I think it would be nice to turn on wazes and it would show commute times to destinations like work or home. Also up to date commute time changes to beat traffic congestion. The map is to zoomed in to see what is ahead of me to make important changes. I know I can achieve this information already but don't want directions and don't feel like entering a bunch information every 5mins.

More visibility in a landscape mode (tilted screen)
Waze is great, I like to keep it running without any navigation / destination. In mobile's landscape mode (tilted screen) there is menu + search bar that takes about a half of the screen. Please make it as a pop up when touched or as a slider from the bottom/side of the screen. The visibility is close to none even with my 6.7" screen.

There are no streets near the destination - Map Problem
When we have a location registered in Waze or Google and there are no nearby streets that can route the user there, Waze displays the error: Could not locate end point
My suggestion is that Waze should map Google/Waze locations, identify those that are too far from a street, and create a Map Problem (MP) in the Waze map editor so that we can check whether the street needs to be drawn or whether to simply close the MP as unidentified.

Why is your system so inferior to Google Maps? We did a side-by-side, and Google consistently was 30 seconds faster in giving direction??
Why is your system so much slower than Google (on a side-by-side basis)? Why does Google consistently suggest routes that, while maybe not quite as fast as your fastest routes all the time, are far faster than your #2 and #3 route, and which update much more frequently? Have you really looked at how competitive your product is versus them???

The Report button was designed to be noticed while blending in and it’s important to keep it as is.
However, we will revisit this idea when working on Dark mode, in the future. Furthermore, since this is a physical issue that OLED phones suffer from in different apps, we recommend to use Battery Saver mode to allow your display some rest from bright colors that might lead to this dysfunction.

Could you please have Waze send to correct side of the street, weather you drive a car or a bus , more safe to be on correct side
When you put in address Waze should send you to correct side of the street, weather you drive a car or bus it is more safe that making a U Turn, especially in a but where you cannot turn around.

I have a problem in the last couple of months. The time to the destination informatios has been hidden regularly from the screen.
I think the Time to the destination information is one of the most imporrant for the users. Would be great to keep it all time on the screen as it was in the past

Alert police on both sides of the road
Currently, waze only provides an alert when approaching police on the same side of the road. In Australia, police will check vehicle speed in both directions. Waze should have the option to provide alerts when approaching police on the opposite side of the road.
