Voice warnings about several hazards on the road
Waze has been warning about the next turn during a trip for a long time and this is great. However, there are not only maneuvers on the roads but also different hazards. For example: there is a speed control camera ahead, and an accident happened 50 meters before it. Waze will only warn about one event. This is bad. I suggest voicing such events in order, like turns "Accident ahead, then camera." and other events similarly.

Please change back the car on the road hazard!
Please change back the car on the road hazard alert! You guys recently changed the icon’s color and the look and I’m not sure why. It looks too much like the traffic alert icons and therefore harder to distinguish as easily at quick glance on the map.

Road Improvements & Increase Highway Lanes, Carpools
How many times have you traveled on a highway with consistent heavy traffic with empty space on either side and wondered, why don't they just add more lanes? [CA-237 San Jose]. Then you wonder how you can get your voice heard because everyone else is most likely thinking the same thing?
Or you go onto a heavy on ramp and wonder, there's room for carpool, but everyone is waiting into a single line, why don't they add it?
Or there is a pothole, but who to contact to fix? Or road improvement, or on ramp, off ramp are dangerously close…
1 voteThank you for your suggestion! As you may know, Waze offers HOV routing for taxis. To change your vehicle type go to Settings > Vehicle type. There are currently no plans to add more HOV options.

The new system for reporting road closures is nearly useless!
The new system for reporting road closures is nearly useless. I used to simply indicate a direction, now it asks for a lane and no direction. Consequently I have encountered many more unreported closures and I have difficulty reporting them because I've gone past them and can't say what is closed - it just asks for left, centre or right lane. Grrr! Is the Google takeover finally taking effect? Less sense, more convolution... I also note that to send in this suggestion, my Waze login isn't valid - Google login is required.

Option to Remove Speed Cameras on the Other Side of the Road
I would like the option to Remove Speed Cameras on the Other Side of the Road. This should be a simple fix within the settings and would allow for less confusion when driving on a motorway. I’m often caught out by speed cameras and slowing right down from the speed limit to well below it so there’s not chance of me being fined. However, I do this for all speed camera alerts even when they are on the other side of the road just to be safe. It would be so much more pleasant to disable other side of…

Carplay settings
It would be nice to have access to the waze settings though apple carplay so that I can turn toll roads or other features on and off quickly as opposed to having use the phone app. Google already has this but I prefer using Waze so please work on this.

Avoid express lanes
It would be nice to be able to turn off Express Lanes, with the same toggle switch as the "Avoid Toll Roads" option. I almost never have passengers in my car, and therefore cannot ever take the Express Lanes, but the app keeps directing me to them. Express Lanes also occasionally have different exiting options, so it can sometimes change your entire route and make you miss exits you needed to take.

Automatically re-open closed roads when vehicles drive there again
Roadworks sometimes finish earlier than expected. When waze sees enough vehicles driving along a "closed" road, the closure should automatically be removed. Or at least flag the road for the local AM to check.

Hi,In Malaysia, in the Malay language, the adjective comes after the noun.
For example:
"King Street" will literally become "Street King" in the Malay language.
So, when we are looking at the map and instructions in Waze, the actual name of the road is hidden when it is truncated.
For example
Lebuhraya Persekutuan where "Lebuhraya" is "Highway" and "Persekutuan" is the "name", when we view in our phones, we can only see "Lebuhraya" plus maybe a bit…

Tourist safety suggestion - prompts re staying on the correct side of road
When tourists travel to a country where they have to drive on a different side of the road it can be potentially dangerous. I am in New Zealand where we drive on the left. Accidents are often caused when tourists mistakenly drift onto the right as they are on auto-pilot, and cause a head-on collision.
Most of the rental car companies put a "keep left" sticker on the inside of the windscreen to remind drivers but I don't think this enough. My idea is that Waze would create a special "tourist" version of the audio guide that would include prompts…

Improper hazard alerts for vehicles parked on road shoulders
In the city where I live, some roads have shoulders on one or both sides. We know that these areas are not traffic lanes, but are intended for vehicles to stop or park temporarily. However, every day, no matter which route I take, I keep receiving the alert “hazard reported – vehicle stopped.” I can see that people are reporting this incorrectly, since a vehicle stopped on the shoulder is not a hazard. This alert should only appear when a vehicle is stopped on the actual lane, truly obstructing the way. Therefore, I believe this warning should only exist…

Big truck on side of the road.
Hello, would you consider: an option for "Big Truck" stopped on the shoulder? As someone who drives a commercial motor vehicle over a 130,000 miles a year, I can tell you that the majority of cars on the shoulder are abandoned whereas the majority of big trucks on the shoulder are broken down and or getting service at the time and there's usually a human being somewhere walking in and out of the highway at the truck is being repaired. HOV only ramps and roads
When Wazers select an HOV route, because of the way HOV was implemented, any direct access ramp or otherwise HOV only road will never be suggested.
Waze needs to be able to suggest all HOV options, including HOV only flyovers and ramps.

When reporting anything on the road, cops, accident, construction a header should pop up asling how far back (ie my loction, 150m,300m, 600m
There should be some form of a header that pops up as you're reporting a cop. For example that lets you select how far back from your current location. Same goes for any report you're making on the road. The last heading that pops up should be how far back. Just like the last heading when you report a cop is visible hidden other side of the road.

Add police alert on nearby roads
If the alert (police, traffic jam) is not on the road Waze users are driving on, there is no way to indicate that. For example if I drive on a road that is near a highway and there is an accidant on the highway there is no way to report it.
It would be nice to let users tap on the map to indicate the place of the alert. If no tap, it means that the place of the alert is the actual place.10 votes -
Add the capability to request assistance when you are the "vehicle on the side or the road"
Many times when driving and passing vehicles that are stopped on the side of the road, i am often inclined to stop and offer assistance. Many times i have stopped just to find out it is something I can not assist with or something for which they already have help on the way for. It would be nice if you have to pull over, you can self report the vehicle on the side of the road and specify if you could use some assistance or not. Road grade warning
It would be great to have an option to avoid/warn the user about roads with high grades (>15%) as some heavier vehicles may struggle climbing these hills.
