1. tolls

   There is a difference between express lane tolls and bridge tolls. Can you separate the two when it comes to avoiding tolls. If you set it to avoid tolls, it will avoid both express lane and bridge tolls. If you need to drive across a bridge, it will send you many, many miles around to avoid the bridge toll, when you really only want to avoid the express lane tolls.

2. MORE navigation options, in addition to shorter time or distance

   I would LOVE for waze to have multiple options for routes. For instance :
   Standard options:
   - shortest distance
   - shortest time
   Standard avoids :
   - avoid toll roads
   - avoid highways

   New ones:
   - least turns
   - least traffic lights ;

   New avoiding routes:
   - avoid construction routes
   - avoid one lane streets
   - avoid streets with traffic moving slower than

   All of these should be able to mix and match and specify further details. For instance it would be great if it showed option to list trips within X percent of time to shortest time trip. It can display stats for these: ex: 25 turns, 10 Street lights, 2 one lane roads, etc etc

3. Need a way to ignore/report closure on route with major accident and closure reported on news

   Today a major accident occurred, closing a main highway during morning rush hour. Waze kept trying to send me that way, even though radio, tv, and my school all reported it and advised avoiding that route entirely because of major delays. From my alternate route, I could see the traffic jam caused by the accident.

   The current Waze display on the BMW X1's 8-inch screen utilizes the full space but lacks critical lane-level detail, especially during complex maneuvers. Implementing enhanced 3D illustrations for specific challenging road features would significantly improve driver clarity and safety.

   1. Complex Interchanges and Lane Guidance For junctions where a simple directional arrow is insufficient, a dynamic 3D view is needed to guide drivers into the correct lane well in advance.

   Motorway Splits and Exits:

   Need: Show complex motorway splits (e.g., merging onto two separate dual carriageway A-roads) and exits.

   Proposed Feature: Display a 3D-rendered sign and road environment that clearly highlights the correct exit and required lane. This should appear several hundred meters before the split, with a countdown timer or distance marker.

   Sequential Close Junctions:

   Need: Guidance for immediate, sequential turns (e.g., turn right at the first light, then an immediate left at the second).

   Proposed Feature: The 3D view should highlight the recommended lane for the first maneuver and then transition to highlight the required lane for the second maneuver as the driver approaches the second set of traffic lights.

   1. Multi-Lane Roundabouts (Including Double Roundabouts) Navigating multi-lane or double roundabouts requires clear, pre-emptive lane instruction.

   Proposed Feature: Display an aerial 3D illustration of the entire roundabout. This view must show all entry lanes and highlight the exact lane the driver needs to enter the roundabout in, ensuring they are positioned correctly to take their designated exit. This instruction must be given sufficiently in advance of the approach.

   1. Motorway Exit Continuation Often, the most challenging part of a motorway journey is not the exit itself, but knowing which lane to be in immediately after the exit to prepare for the next turn or merge.

   Proposed Feature: Upon exiting the motorway, display a transitional 3D view showing the layout of the receiving road. This illustration should:

   Clearly indicate the total number of lanes on the new road.

   Highlight the specific lane the driver should move into (or remain in) to facilitate the very next step in the navigation (e.g., preparing for an upcoming slip road, merge, or turn).

5. Report problem off-route

   I know of a road closure near my home which is not showing in Waze, but I only seem able to report a problem when near by & on an active route

6. Simplify ability to mark roads as closed

   There is a road closure near me which is not currently shown on Waze and Waze therefore keeps trying to route through this closure. I know it is there so why am I not able to simply mark a road as closed anywhere (ie not just when I am on a route)? Otherwise people will keep being routed towards a closure and the last thing they are thinking of when they are having to turn around and go a different way is to inform Waze about the closure. Seems such a simple fix and if you are worried about it being abused by people who would inform of closed roads as a joke, it could be verified by two or more users so that you know it is genuine.

7. Look both ways when a road ends at a two-way road and you turn right

   When driving on a road that ends in a two-lane road and you want to turn right, you usually only look to the left to see if a vehicle is approaching.
   I think that in these cases, Waze should give a voice warning to check visually in both directions.
   It may happen that on the right side a vehicle is overtaking another and the driver is doing so on the opposite lane, the lane you intend to enter.
   The danger can increase if visibility is poor due to vegetation or other objects.

9. Which Side of the Road

   It would be nice if on our drive at with .5 miles or .2 miles you would notify us which side of the road the business (address) is on. We have many 2/3 and 4 lane roads and we can't get in the proper lane for the turn if we don't know which side of the road the address is on.

10. Have an option to adjust the maximum speed limit to account for company speed limits. Working for Hallcon, I can only drive 55 mph at night

    Have an option to adjust the maximum speed limit to account for company speed limits. Working for Hallcon, I can only drive 55 mph at night on a two-lane road, 65 mph during the day on a two-lane road, and a maximum of 70 mph for any road. I would like to be able to put this in settings, so that Waze can come up with a better route and ETA for me. I do not like being sent down two-lane roads at night going 55 mph when I could be going down a highway at 67 mph, and could probably reach my destination faster.

11. Report "Road closed": choose a certain segment of road ahead as closed

    Marked my first closed road today when a truck was burning on the highway... it's really great that it's possible to notify others of road closures now!

    But (there's always a but, isn't there?) it should be possible to mark a closure ahead, not right where I am. I marked it right when I left the highway, which only closed the little piece of highway between the off- and on-ramp. It was impossible to mark the highway after the on-ramp where the truck was burning as closed... :(

    When I needed to mark a closed road on my old gps unit, it provided some buttons like 100m, 200m, 500m, 1km ahead where the road was really inaccessible.

    I like the way waze lets me choose the arrow as to which directions is closed. But I couldn't figure out how mark another spot. I just tried to scroll the map up and touch the road ahead, but that didn't work. I'd say that would be the natural way to mark a closure...

13. Traffic light free and alternate lane traverse free turning feature with extra option enabling lane traverse turnings at non-signal turns

    There should be features that allow users to opt for routes that are free of traffic lights and also free of having to either make left handed turns in America and other American driving nations or free of right turns in Australia , UK and other countries with British driving system with options to enable those turnings where signals aren't present . Or in other words , traffic lights and left turn free American driving routes and traffic lights and right turn free Australian driving routes . Both with options to enable left turns in America or right turns in Australia where signals aren't present .

14. Earlier notice for blocked lanes

    Why in the world do we only get .2 miles notice for an upcoming blocked lane? Everything else is half a mile. This is equally important for drivers to know as far in advance as possible.

15. Indication of priority pedestrian lanes

    Please, can you indicate to your users when they take a lane in which pedestrians have priority, as is the case in Paris 6 rue Faro, rue des canettes etc..Too many incidents due to motorists who do not respect this injunction.

16. Please include tunnel closures in your map feature so routes will avoid them in Singapore

    There are many tunnels closure in Singapore in the middle of the night. Would be helpful for drivers if we get routes that avoid them

17. Display next instuction after the current one

    It would be really handy if you could always show the turn instruction after the current on screen instruction. It will help with early lane positioning. Ideally including the lane that you need to be in.

18. Addind a "Facing the opposite direction" button

    When I get to the car, many times Waze suggest a route in the oposite direction of how the car is parked. This causes a major time loss as the app needs time to realize I'm headind the opposite way, recalculate and offer a new route. Therefore a banner "facing the opposite lane?" is necessary and would upgrade the app signifully.

    Thank you for this suggestion.
    Setting the Car’s direction when starting the app and navigation is a known matter which will be addressed in the future.
    There are many complexities in location tracking which cause this issue and hold us from providing a solution.
    It’s currently on the back burner, but definitely a part of the backlog.

19. Prior to freeway off ramp indicate if it will be a left or rignt at the end of the off ramp.

    If prior to entering a freeway off ramp if Waze would indicate which off ramp lane you needed to be in it would better prepare you for the exit. Currently Waze will indicate if it is to be a left or right turn at the end of the off ramp but if you are in the wrong lane, you might not be able to get into the proper lane at that point.

    Drivers entitled to public transport lanes are guides away from such lanes.

    Public transport lanes option would be an important feature.
