Parking Meter Risk alert
Use crowdsourced data on where and when people see meter maids or get parking tickets so users know the risk of not paying a meter at that time and place. For example if you need to stop into a place for 20 minutes or less, and the risk of ticket is low, you feel better not paying the meter.

Hi, Can train schedules be incorporated to alert that trains are coming when you near train tracks?

Text colors
Presently, in turn-by-turn navigation, the distance until the next maneuver is in white an the name of the street/exit where that maneuver is to take place is in blue. The blue text is hard to read against a black background; and since the name of the street/exit is more important than the distance to it (IMO), I recommend switching these colors to show the street/exit name in white (and the distance in blue).

Merge two or more alerts
Today Waze prioritize some alerts and you only have 1 visible and audible alert, even if it has 2 or more in the location.
My suggestion is that in this case Waze can "merge" these alerts. Something like "Speed trap and accident reported ahead"

Control how much time an alert appears before the event.
It will be great to have an option to control how much time before an event, it would alert us.
When you are at a highway, the alert appears 2 or 3 seconds before the event.
I think we should choose between 2 seconds and 30 seconds before events.1 vote -
alerts hide the permitted speed
When a warning approaches, be it a speed camera 300 meters away, the warning comes on and stays on for that distance, obscuring the correct speed on the map. I don't know if I'm exceeding the speed limit or approaching the camera at the speed limit.It happens with any alert (I have images.)

Option to disable route recalculating alert. That nerve wracking chirp is driving me crazy!
Whoever approved that grating & obnoxious squawking route recalculation alarm should be fired. I drive a cab and even my customers cringe when they hear it and say "what's that awful noise". PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LET US TURN IT OFF! Alerts only should mean alerts only. Hearing that damn noise screech and grate 5 times when I'm driving through a parking lot is maddening!

Show “Last verified” versus minutes passed since alert was posted
Instead of showing how long ago an alert was posted, it would be more helpful to show other Wazers when it was last verified. If someone sends a “police” notification, it would be more beneficial to see the police officer was verified 5 seconds ago versus seeing that it was posted 25 minutes ago.

User Interface - Alert Visibility
My eyesight is not as great as it once was, so the prompts for alerts to indicate if a hazard or alert is still present is a bit difficult to see. I would suggest it be enlarged to occupy most of the screen with a slightly transparent background. The bottom half of the screen could be green for a “Not There” button and the top half of the screen be yellow for “Hazard Still Present”. With the enlarged notification it should increase driver safety and engagement as well since it would be easier to read and more prominent.

red light camera alerts less frequent
I have two red light cameras on my commute. They appear the same way as alerts for police or accidents >>with a request to confirm it<<....every single day.
For alerts that seldom change, I suggest an alert without the confirmation request. Or perhaps request to confirm it once/month.24 votesThank you for your suggestion!

Displaying the distance of right or left turns with a progress bar instead of a number of kilometers
I'd like to suggest an improvement to Waze's turn-by-turn navigation. Similar to the progress bar shown in traffic jams, it would be helpful to have a progress bar for turns, indicating the distance remaining until the turn and the user's current location. This would provide a more visual and intuitive way to understand the proximity to the turn.

Let ignore users who spam a lot of fake alert
Let's block people who usually take signs with fake alerts. I wish a personal, editable black list to collect bad guys and avoid me from their fake alerts. Thanks!

prevent fake police control alert by comparing standstill postion of the wazer and a police control
Some police agent use waze account to create fake alerts randomly or to say "control not here anymore" when they are doing control. These wazers can be identified by the system simply.
If a police agent uses waze, his location is tracked by the server. If a police agent is using waze while doing a control, his position will be standstill until a normal wazer spot him. So there will be an alert at the place the police control is located. The waze server can record these habits and conclude the user is a cop and limit his actions.4 votes -
Add a “Kangaroo Alert” option for Australian roads
I’d love to suggest adding a new alert option for kangaroo sightings near roads. In Australia, kangaroos are a significant cause of vehicle collisions, especially around dawn and dusk. It would be incredibly helpful if drivers could mark kangaroo sightings or active areas on the Waze map, just as they can mark hazards or police alerts.
This could appear as a temporary small kangaroo icon, notifying nearby drivers to slow down or stay alert. It would improve safety for both drivers and wildlife, helping reduce collisions, injuries, and road damage.

Warning distances able to adjust
I would like to have the option to adjust de distance for warnings of police,speed camaras..etc.
The standar setting is 500m before the point.

Color code car icon by distance
When Waze zooms in & out, the car icon stays the same size. Why not color code the car icon, green for when you are far away, yellow when you are close & need to change lanes for a turn/exit, red when you are within a quarter mile.

Increase the size of time to go and distance to go at bottom of screen when on a route
When traveling on a route, it would be helpful to have the time to go and distance to go that is at the bottom of the screen in a larger, more easily visible format.

Assigning a custom voice to alerts
Could it be possible to assign a custom voice to an alert? E.g. to assign a short police car siren to a police alert, or to upload another own voice to a another alert?

Suppress Repeat of Long-term Alerts
Suppress repeat audio alerts for "long-term alerts" such as red-light cameras. User to press a squelch button on the alert pop-up, so that subsequent drive by the same location won't trigger the audio alert.
This annoys me some, but my wife absolutely HATES it when Ms Waze blurts out "red light camera ahead" on the roads we travel every day. The squelch button would enable me to not only squelch Ms Waze, but also would make our marriage more enjoyable!
Those who like to hear the incessant warnings would simply not press the squelch for any given …
