Can you PLEASE, add a "While Using App" option
If you could please enable the option to set the location services to "While Using App"
It benefits the user by not needing to actively remember to disable the location services constantly after each trip.
Thus causing it to become a nuisance and development frustration when the app ends up using a chunk of battery during the expedition of each trip. And also when no one is accessing the app, but it's still using data and power either way.

Interdire les signalements de police pour un radar automatique
FR : Bonjour, je pense qu'il serait préférable d'interdire les signalements "contrôle de police" dans les zones de contrôle (de radar automatique) car beaucoup de gens signalent ces radars comme des contrôles de police tout ça dans le but de gagner des points (malhonnêtement)..
De plus les radars automatiques sont annoncés par des panneaux en France ! Alors tous les conducteurs sont déjà avertis de ce radar pars le simple fait d'observer les panneaux !

change speed bump to traffic calming device
There are many different devices used to slow vehicles other than speed bumps. Other examples include chicanes, roundabouts, splitter islands, entrance treatment, speed pillows, speed humps and intersection humps. I'm sure there are others too.
The speed bump permanent hazard would fit all of these other types of methods used to slow vehicles down but if we add a speed bump where there technically isn't a speed bump we confuse the wazer and likely will generate unnecessary URs.
If we changed the name from speed bump to 'traffic calming device' (my suggestion), we easily fit all these slow-down methods and…

Traffic Control Officers Romania
In Romania we have traffic control officers that are not police and this confuses drivers, this option would help a lot of drivers !

Android Auto Audio Control
Allow for audio control (mute, unmute of instruction and notifications) from the vehicle's screen when using Waze in Android Auto.

Notification staying up too long and makes information unreadable in the new android auto vehicle display. Close button non functional
Either fix the response of the android auto screen controls so buttons don't require multiple touches or long press (literally 5 seconds at times, even in the report window, literally any button). Cut the time stuff sits on the screen, fix speed sensitive notifications duration, or add a setting to change how long notifications remain on the screen. Incredibly distracting when you have to touch a button 5 times or hold it until the system notices you.

Beginning of town (inhabited place) indication - for when to let off the gas in advance
Indicate the next beginning of town somehow on the route.
On the map and/or with info saying "beginning of town in 500m ... 400m ... 200m" etc.
Or even just one popup saying "town in 300m".
Or just with a marker on the map! That would also suffice.I have wanted this feature for years.
Very hard to estimate when in an unknown area.

Fix map pan function on Android Auto for rotary/joystick control
I drive a BMW i3. It uses a combination rotary control/joystick. Touchscreen is not available. I cannot pan the map when I select the panning function.

Simplified voice directions
Voice directions can often be unnecessarily long and complicated (eg telling you not just the street or Road to turn down but the state route number which is irrelevant). I see you have bigger directions on and off options, but what about a simplified or minimal directions option? Where you only get Street names, you don’t get an initial “this torture is similar to state route bla bla bla” when starting directions, and perhaps even not several reminders about a turn, or if the next turn is within less than 1km you don’t have to hear the initial turn in…

Speed control stays on
When you go true a speed control or police the alerts status on and later it does not show alerts anymore... you can get a ticket!!!!

Add option to avoid specific streets in navigation
Sometimes I want to avoid a specific street or area due to police controls, protests, or personal reasons. These are not always reported in Waze, so the app doesn’t know to avoid them.
I suggest adding a setting where users can select certain streets or zones to avoid, either temporarily or permanently. This way, Waze can calculate alternate routes that respect these preferences.
It could be similar to the existing “Avoid tolls” or “Avoid highways” options, but more customizable. Maybe a long-press on the map or a list where we add “Streets to Avoid”.

toggle for map when on CarPlay
I’ve been using Waze as my primary navigation app, but ever since Waze was made compatible with CarPlay I’ve been unable to view the map on my phone screen. “Just use the map on the radio screen” you might say. My iPhone is mounted next to my heads up display I have to look down when I have ApplePlay on to use the other music apps. Police alerts
My request is that you create another alert option which is police alerts alone. That is, the options should be: sound on, alerts, police only alerts, and no alerts. For me, the only real alert that I care about is if there are police or speed cameras.
When I use your app, I typically silence alerts because I don't want to hear about cars stopped on the side of the road and approaching railways, etc. I understand that's important to some people, but for me it just interrupts my music/podcast.

Avoid difficult junctions option
It would be nice to have the option of avoiding junctions that involve you crossing several lanes of traffic that ain't traffic light controlled.

tag traffic controllers/directors
All that’s missing is for us to be able to tag traffic cops whether they be the type that are on the ground, directing traffic or the ones that are controlling the traffic lights… Because we all know that they slow traffic down, don’t we?
