Make "Police reported ahead" prompts work in background
On my Samsung Galaxy S3 the "police reported ahead" prompts dont work when the app is running in background, however, the "vehicle stopped on shoulder" prompts work just fine. I would like the opposite. Thanks,

Semi-permanent drive location sharing
Allow for multiple options when sharing drive location. Currently friends I want to share with keep getting "request cancelled". We are driving across the country and don't want to have to keep resending new links. I would like to have one I can use over and over with options to stop sharing or refresh to a new link when you want to change who has access or something the like. I think having time limits may be good too. Share my location via this link for 1, 2,...24, 48 hrs (as long as waze is open and sharing is on).

Category Icons and Provider indicator in Search Autocomplete results
When we view Search autocomplete results, and even when we view "more" results
* Show category icons, so we can see the difference between a grocery store, a gas station, and a bus stop. This icon could be in the donut hole in the middle of the pin icon.
* Also indicate which are from Waze and which are from external providers (perhaps by putting a blue colored pin for Waze results and a gray colored pin for Google results, for exampleUse case:

Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Currently Not Planned, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.
We hope to include it in our plans for later down the line.

Add stop
Yep, add a stop so people could set their direction on the map.

Stop voice
When I stop the navigation int middle of the voice navigation prompt can the voice stop speaking also? This is what happens on Google Maps.
When I stop the on screen navigation I don't want to hear the voice continue.Please add this.

Auto exit sleep mode when connected to CarPlay
When I connect my iPhone to CarPlay, often Waze is unresponsive because it went into sleep mode automatically when I previously disconnected. I have to stop my car, pick-up my phone, launch Waze and disable sleep mode before it starts to work again through CarPlay.
Please can you update Waze to automatically exit sleep mode as soon as the phone is connected to CarPlay?

Stop shutdowns
Stop fucking shutting down when minimized or screen off. I'm a top 2500 all time Wazer, and I'm about to uninstall. Yes I've disabled battery optimization for Waze. No that hasn't stopped it from throwing a tantrum and shutting down. Getting fucking well tired of missing my turns because my screen's been off.

Olá!
Gostei muito da ideia de vocês, com relação ao "Waze Carpool", porém vejo uma situação da qual muitas mulheres ficam incomodadas pela falta de segurança e diversas vezes passo por lugares onde têm ponto de ônibus em que a mulher está sozinha e em alguns casos uma mulher e um ou mais homens, sendo que a mulher fica afastada com receio de algo com relação a este ou o grupo de homens.
Fui procurar outros aplicativos que trabalham com caronas e até encontrei outro já com disponibilidade de carona apenas com mulheres, tanto a motorista como as passageiras, então…2 votesChanging this to Not Planned, as it doesn't fit on our roadmap in the near future. Do AWAY with cartoonish “rewards”
Do AWAY with the cartoonish rewards! This is a useful app and not a ridiculous game. Going 75mph down the highway and I “verify” a car on the side of the road and as soon as I do I come over a small rise and there’s a car in the left shoulder partially in the fast lane and the ridiculous cartoon rewards are still flashing so I can’t press the notification button to alert other drivers!! It’s either a game or a useful app, stop trying to make it both!!

Message alerts settings
In the new version of Waze, when the phone is landscape, when a warning is shown (radar, stopped vehicle ...) it's appear on the top of the screen, avoiding the visualization of what is to come in the path. The suggestion is to allow set where to place these alerts. If the phone is in an horizontal position, would be more useful than alerts go out to the right or left of the screen covering part of the side and not the way to go.

Stop popups while driving
Our insurance provider gives a discount for safe driving. To get the discount I can't touch a screen while driving. While driving using Waze, popups block the screen but I can't close them. If there is no way to disable ALL popups, I will uninstall waze and find another app.

Reliability
I have found that Waze is the most unstable of the three major navigation platforms, which include Apple and Google Maps. It routinely has trouble figuring out where one is starting from which causes the map to freeze while the navigation continues. It also consistently either stops working (loses the route, or begins to submit random, rapidfire directions which are all incorrect). This seems to mostly happen in urban settings. While trying to get our dog to cancer treatment in Boston, your navigator went off the rails, forcing me to pull over in traffic and go to another option to…

police reports
Hi, I would like to make a suggestion for us waizers that will be very helpful. Perhaps you can add a choice to click on police report that is in the screen so that we just press on it instead of going to Reports then choosing police and then sending it. Please take in consideration that we are driving and most Likely can't stop and enter report and that by the time we enter the report we are ways further from the area we saw the police. Stop talking as soon as I press Stop
If I press Stop to stop the navigation while Waze is providing driving directions, stop talking immediately. Don’t finish the current driving direction. I pressed Stop, which means I don’t want to hear it any more.

Stop supporting the oppression and genocide of innocent Palestinians
I'll be removing my account and app with Waze due to the hand they play in the oppression of innocents in Palestinian territory. I'll be spreading the word about this also in the aim to help remove more users for your platform until you change your stance and stop support the apartheid that's taking place in 2021.

A real travel together option
Maybe this doesn’t happen often, but if two or more people are traveling separately but headed in the same direction, it would be nice to see each other on the map. Either traveler could add detours to the travel plans, i.e. food stops, rest areas, gas stations, so that everyone can stop together if need be. Driving in the same car isn’t always an option over long distances and giving directions over a phone while someone is driving is messy at best, especially when driving in unfamiliar areas. Reporting hazards with Siri using Apple CarPlay and Waze
Waze has possibility to use Siri shortcuts to navigate home, work or other destinations, as well as setting level of notifications. Please add possibility to report hazards like police, stopped vehicle on the road, road works, traffic etc. Using Siri, this would increase safety dramatically as a driver would not need to touch the screen for that multiple times.
