Horse-riding
It would be great if you could mark yourself as a slow-moving hazard for other Wazers to be alerted to on their screens as they drive.
Imagine you are riding a horse on a narrow country lane. Considerate drivers slow right down when passing riders on horseback to avoid spooking the horses.
If you could declare yourself a rider on horseback, and had your phone with you then other Waze users could be alerted to your presence well before rounding the very last corner and needing to brake suddenly.
This could reduce accidents between horses and cars.

In urban areas in the Nordic countries it is becoming more common that local politicians forbid driving cars with winter tires with studs on some streets with high pollution. When creating a route to a destination, Waze do not take into account that some of the streets may be restricted due to this. when I drive on rt8 south from Seymore CT to Ansonia CT waze tells me to go off exit 19. if I use exit 19 then I have to look left and right

BUT if I take exit 20 then I just drive straight off the exit and pass by exit 19. Waze to initiate pre-determined reply to texts when driving
I want waze to initiate a pre-determined text reply automatically when I am driving, note automatically, so it switches on and off according to when I am driving using Waze. I would set my reply to say: "I'm driving at the moment so please call me as I can't read your texts but can speak to you using bluetooth. This text has been sent to you by Waze navigation app."

Zoom level resets after waze shows alerts while stopped
If I'm driving and set my zoom at a certain level and stop, waze shows nearby alerts... great! But when I drive again my zoom level is not what I've set it at. Also, please make the app show the alert on the side of the screen and put the pinpointed alert on the other side while in landscape mode. Sometimes an alert is useless without seeing it and currently the warning covers the map!

Average speed camera in IRAN
Hello waze
Recently in IRAN roads, many average speed traps are installed.
As you kbow these cameras catch not only the momentum speed but also catch the average speed between 2 cameras and in the whole road.
As you know they use SPECS (SPEed Check Services) system that use number plate recognition to measure the time taken between two fixed points to monitor a driver's average speed.

More advance notice on warnings while driving
For more time to respond while driving to safety warnings it would be great to allow them to come in a mile or so in advance. This would allow accurate time to respond and safely transition to another lane… It would be good also if this was available for police warnings as well.

Report police driving in the same direction 🚨
Today it's possible to report police driving in the opposite direction, but it would be good to also be able to report if they're driving in the same direction as yourself to be able to warn drivers ahead of you. Or maybe it should be all rescue vehicles, so people can give a clear lane for police, ambulances and fire trucks

Dim display after X minutes since last driving command
The display brightness should be dimmed after X minutes since the last driving command from waze (e.g. turn right, turn left, etc). The display should be turn back up to the original brightness whenever there is a new driving command,

speed warning PERMANENTLY
I would like to see the OPTION to enable the acoustic warning chime PERMANENTLY as long as you drive faster than the speed limit.
Currently this warning chime will only appear once, but in my case for me it would be safer and easier to follow the speed limits when this sound would appear as long as you drive too fast. In this case the warning sound would work like the overspeed warning in airplanes, which definitely makes sense.
And because some people could not like this, it should be an aditional option in the settings.Please concider this, as…

Allow Podcast apps integrated
Allow podcast apps such as Libby and BorrowBox to be intergrated into the Waze app. Currently when I listen to a podcast on a long drive I cannot hear the navigation sounds and waze noises.

The change may be seen on Google Maps. I can provide a copy of the official letter from the town if necessary.

A useful improvement:
if you drive faster than the allowed speed, Waze will beep once, but if you could set Waze to beep continuously until you drive at the allowed speed (slower), then it would be a very, very great app

Increase the contrast / Change colors at the top + Larger alert when route changes
A couple of times I missed the change of route because the alert it too minimal. I drive with no waze sound, so I do not hear the change. I think this is a critical improvement because of the time you can loose when you miss the change. Thanks!

Hungary toll
In Hungary you can have vignette (sticker) for highway for each county separately for the whole year or you can have a vignette for all of the Hungarian highway (the first one is cheaper if you just drive only in some countys). So, it could be very helpful if you could choose which county do you have vignette (not only the possibility to avoid toll) and the program could calculate the trip (where you can use the highway and where no). I would like to suggest an important improvement to the app: adding a button at the beginning of each drive to select the type of vehicle – such as private car, truck, commercial vehicle, bus, etc.
As a truck driver, I often get directed to roads that are not suitable for heavy vehicles – including narrow streets, bridges with height restrictions, or roads where commercial vehicles are prohibited. These situations cause delays, frustration, and sometimes even safety hazards.
I believe this feature would greatly enhance the user experience and allow for more personalized and safe navigation.

Support for iOS 11 DND while driving feature
iOS 11 which is being released tonight, supports do not disturb while driving. This means that if you text me whilst driving, rather than being distracted with a text message, my phone will text the person back informing them that I will see the message once I have reached my destination. The person can still call me of course.
This feature works with Apple Maps, but doesn’t work with Waze. Not sure why. Can you make Waze work with it?

Externalize performance parameters as configuration.
Living in a tropical country, driving with my phone under the windshield of my car, for an hour or so, at 35°C, my phone gets so hot it could burn a hole through my pocket. (My phone is a Motorola RAZR i)
I think Waze has a high demand for memory and processing power, to be as responsive as it is.I am guessing that Waze has a lot of automatic tasks that run "every x seconds" to update the road reports, ETA, friends list, reports for you to thumbs up and so on.
I think Waze could make that…
