1. Improving on route and more functions.

   I been using waze daily for work as uber driver. There is time can be annoying when waze divert me to another route which is less traffic and mileage is far than origin route. This may cause additional cost on the fare and some riders may not feel comfortable if any route change. My suggestion to waze is have a option for waze as below:-

   1) Option to ignore traffic jams so we can maintain current route without any diversion to other route. Let waze user to choose to stuck in traffic or find alternative route. :)

   2) Option to avoid small country/inner roads due to inner road conditions may not be comfortable/too many turns/junctions.

   3) Lane assist for waze user due to turn to turn alert may experience delay/inaccurate.

   4) Navigation > Fastest/shortest route need improvement. Calculation on mileage/km still not accurate as it seems. During waze i find there is better route and nearer based on distance/Km compare to suggestion by waze.

   5) To add a economy route on navigation - based on nearest distance/km by using highway and mixture of non toll roads.

2. Useless information

   Dear on duty!
   I drive a lot to work and back. Hours each day. Mostly, I use the app to foresee road blocks so I could re-route through back roads that even Waze doesn't know about.
   But I get a lot of useless notifications like "left lane blocked" or "fog". These notifications are pointing out the obvious. You wasted time programming, I wasted time reading it. This morning the app told me "bad weather"! This flipped my lid off. Like what? I'll explain.
   How do you measure good or bad? Bad for who? It's latitude 59, it's December. I'd say +7C is not bad weather. Yes, it's off statistics (it should be -10C), but it's not bad. It could be sleeting sideways. It was just dark and rainy. Get over it!
   The information I need is the kind that makes me make decisions as I drive. Stuff like potholes, dead bodies, zombies, vegans, accidents ahead - those fleeting hazards. My eyes are fine, checked by doctors - I can see it's foggy. Typically I saw that fog hours before your notification - your notification is hours late. I can see the left lane block miles before your pop-up thing. There are traffic signs, remember?
   I know people like to report, post, and share everything they see, it gives them some sort of satisfaction. A little good deed per day - I reported poor weather on Waze (Go Karen!). Keep the possibility, but don't show it to everyone driving by.
   What you can do with the obvious information is push it out in advance. When I tap "drive me Home" on the screen, it then plans my route. And now it could come back with a notification covering the possible hazards on the planned route - traffic jams, slippery road, poor visibility, etc. I can make decisions before I hit the road. I can take a phone call home warning that I may be late for dinner due to poor road condition.
   Every piece of information has value, but the timing must be correct, otherwise it's just noise.

3. toll booth alert off switch

   Ability to turn off Toll Booth alert

   99.9% of the time, I am driving the same roads as I'm sure most users are. That means I know where the toll booths are. In my area, they aren't booths, just cameras. The lanes don't get narrow or slow down. There are good signs that toll cameras are ahead. The alert from Waze is just a nuisance and there is no option to turn it off like all of the other alert types.

4. Navigate to direction only works in parked gear

   At the moment the only way you can select a place to navigate to is possible when you are in parked gear in your car. The moment your car is in movement, you are unable to choose the point to navigate to. This includes being stationary on red light when the car is in drive gear.

   Comparing this to Google maps navigation where you can choose any of your recent addresses to navigate to and the only thing that is not available is using the keyboard.

   I understand the safety aspect of selecting the places to drive to when in parked, but it's not always possible and I would say it's actually less practical as sometimes parking in single lane roads just to choose where to navigate might be more dangerous.

   It would be helpful for people that do many drops or change the places to drive to often

6. Waze directions are given too late

   I have recently moved to Melbourne Australia. Every road, every intersection, every turn is new to me. I've been an avid Waze user for many years, but I cannot use it anymore. Every directional instruction is 1-3 seconds too late. I have never encountered this problem, because I only used the alert voice setting since I knew my daily drive and area very well.

   A few examples:
   1) When approaching an intersection while in the middle of a 5 lane road, the direction to turn right is only given once the lane turn-offs begin.
   2) When in a residential area where the speed limit is 60km/h, Waze only says "turn right" when the right-turn is 10m away. Yes, I do acknowledge that 300m before the right-turn it said "in 300 meters, turn right", but the problem is between the initial instruction and the right-turn, there may be another turn in between and it's hard to judge distance in a new environment - see point 3 below.
   3) See previous point for reference. I often find that after I have turned, Waze would say "in 200 meters", but 50 meters have passed already, so it's hard to judge what distance remains and thus it's hard to judge the actual remaining distance.

   While driving, my passenger had Google Maps open. Every instruction was in perfect timing. I don't like the look of the Google Maps interface very much, but when driving I don't have to look at the screen - I only have to listen to the instructions. For new users, this is the primary reason for using a GPS nav app.

   I loved Waze with the personalization options and clean UI. You were by my side for over a decade. Sorry Waze team for leaving. My intention for using a GPS navigation app is to get to my destination without missing turns. Unfortunately Waze is lagging behind Google Maps in this regard.

   If part of the Waze roadmap is to acquire new users, then this issue must deserve proper attention.

7. Camera AI

   Use the camera along with AI and any dash mount to recognize lanes. Additionally, with some fine tuning of an AI, recognize when the driver witnesses a wreck, confirm it was a wreck, and then send a recording to police along with contact info for driver.

8. Improve Waze for all (professional drivers like taxi drivers, truck drivers and bus drivers as well)

   Feedback for Waze Improvements (Australia-specific but globally relevant):
   1. Map and Speed Limit Accuracy
   • Please update maps and speed limit data more frequently, especially in Australia where road rules and limits are often updated.
   • Ensure that the speedometer always shows the correct speed limit without disappearing or failing, as this can mislead drivers and cause unintentional speeding.
   • Improve reliability so the speedometer never stops working unexpectedly.
   2. Audible Alerts and Driver Focus
   • Introduce louder and clearer spoken alerts for every speed limit change, so drivers do not have to look at their phone screen.
   • Provide audible alerts for all types of cameras (speed cameras, red-light cameras, mobile speed traps, school zone cameras, bus lane cameras, etc.), not just fixed speed cameras.
   • This would greatly improve driver safety and focus on the road, especially for professional drivers who cannot afford distractions.
   3. Truck and Bus Navigation
   • Add full navigation support for all classes of heavy vehicles, including:
   • Light Rigid (LR)
   • Medium Rigid (MR)
   • Heavy Rigid (HR)
   • Heavy Combination (HC)
   • Multi-Combination (MC)
   • All categories of buses.
   • Include truck- and bus-specific routing options, such as avoiding low bridges, restricted roads, weight limits, and bus-only roads.
   • Many drivers who rely on Waze for personal car trips would also like to use Waze for their professional work in trucks and buses, but currently, Waze does not fully meet these needs.
   4. Professional Driver Use Case
   • Waze has a huge opportunity to support professional drivers (truckers, bus drivers, delivery drivers, etc.) who want the same smart navigation and community-based alerts they enjoy in their cars.
   • Expanding features to include heavy vehicle navigation and more robust audible alerts would make Waze not only the best app for personal use but also the top choice for professional driving.

   I would like to submit a suggestion regarding the usability and safety of the Waze app.
   I believe it would be very useful if, on the main map screen while following a chosen route, users could configure, for example, their 3 favorite incident reports. These could be displayed vertically, from top to bottom, next to the speedometer icon.
   For example:
   Mobile Police
   Car on shoulder
   Right lane blocked
   This feature would allow drivers to mark relevant incidents more quickly and safely. Currently, the list of options is quite long, which can make it distracting and harder to report incidents accurately while driving.
   I think the ability to select frequently used reports would help drivers stay more focused on the road while also encouraging faster and more precise incident reporting.

10. More comprehensive directions

    Waze should be able to give more detailed and frequent directions, perhaps as a selectable option (e.g. regular "keep left/right and go straight for the next __ metres" reminders, or more frequent "turn left in __ metres" instructions every 50m rather than 100m/200m).

    In one experience, the road I was travelling on split to two separate but parallel lanes, and because Waze didn't mention anything I ended up taking the wrong path. A more frequent reminder to keep left/right would have avoided this.

    tl;dr make Waze more talkative.

13. The timing of voice alerts when taking turns and the option to add multiple stops.

    It would be better if the voice alerts atleast 80-100 meters in advance of turns, so that it will be easier for the drivers to take their respective lanes accordingly, and if add self arranged/organised mutiple stops it will be much better for drivers and delivery partners

    We're in a climate crisis and everybody should drive less when there are alternatives available.
    Waze should help with that by suggesting Public Transportation or bicycle routes when selecting a destination, when those routes are viable alternatives (don't bother showing a 3h bus route for a 10 min drive).
    This could be similar to Google Maps and use the same data.
    Just by showing that there are alternatives, the user might be tempted to try them.
    This might be specially useful when driving in cities that have car restrictions, dedicated bus lanes or good bicycle infrastructure that rivals congestion, where driving takes longer than the alternatives.

I’m focused on driving and I get a mile away from the initial accident there’s no way to go back and report it’s only when driving. Maybe I can get to report an accident on the other side but I don’t have the ability to report maybe it’s blocking the right hand lane as well there is no way to report that either as of now too. Maybe not even for passengers too like I know it can detect whenever you are driving so maybe when you’re not moving you implement a system to report in certain areas. Also like deleting things on the move I know you ask if it’s there but some people can’t get to it at times and so maybe deleting like road closures. I’m going on an off ramp and I see a closer in front of me but I’m not going that way but I see that it’s opened up now. Something for that I know it’s a lot but these are my ideas to help.

16. Next two turns visual

    Dear Waze Team,
    I appreciate the work you’ve done to make navigation more intuitive and efficient. I’d like to suggest a feature that could further enhance safety for drivers: displaying the next two upcoming turns instead of only the immediate one.
    Currently, Waze provides turn-by-turn guidance, but it only shows the next turn unless the following turn happens right after. Having a clear view of the next two turns at all times would allow drivers to plan ahead and avoid last-minute lane changes or abrupt movements. This small adjustment could prevent confusion, reduce accidents, and improve overall road safety.
    While the turn-by-turn list is helpful, it doesn’t dynamically remove completed turns, making it harder to glance at what's next while driving. A real-time “Next Two Turns” display would offer smoother navigation and enhance user experience.
    Safety should always be a top priority, and I strongly believe this feature could contribute to making roads safer for all drivers. I would love to see this implemented in future updates!

    Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

18. U.K. Motorway Variable speed limits

    Is there a way that Waze can receive an information feed of the U.K. motorway variable speed limits?
    I am sure this must exist and have the ability to be tapped into.
    The M25, is a great example, but there are many more motorways across the country, often have variable speed limits posted on signs above the lanes. These can change depending on the operators and in response to incidents or traffic conditions.
    It would be incredibly useful to be able to see on the Waze screen what the current limit is, and to know that it is current.

19. Gives the option to cancel a Waze direction change order and recalculate

    When we are on a path of two parallel lanes in the same direction, and you being on the track 01 the Waze commands you to go to the track 02, if you stay on track 01 the Waze understands that you went to the track 2 (perhaps by proximity of two lanes).

    The problem here is that the Waze calculates the speed of the track 02 taking your car as reference, however it is on the track 01. Thus the track 01 would be the best option, but for this error that indicates that you (and others that did the same process described) go to the track 02, ends getting you stuck in traffic.

    My suggestion is that when the Waze suggest a change of track, that has a button allowing you to cancel the exchange. This way you can continue on the track and Waze may recalculate based on yours correct position.

20. Urgent Proposal: Integrate E-Bike and Scooter Riders into the Waze Map for Driver and Rider Safety

    The Immediate Safety Need
    I am urgently requesting that you integrate electric bicycle and scooter riders into the Waze traffic map. I believe the primary need is not just navigation for the riders themselves, but to increase the visibility of these vehicles in the eyes of the car drivers who use the application.
    I see that Light Electric Vehicles (LEVs) – e-scooters and e-bikes – have become an integral part of urban and intercity traffic. They travel on the edge of roads, in bus lanes, and on bike paths close to driving lanes, and they pose a significant risk for accidents, mainly because drivers are often completely unaware of their immediate presence.
    The Proposed Solution: Add a "Rider Mode" for Reporting
    I propose developing a new "Rider Mode" under 'Vehicle Type,' which would serve two main purposes:
    1. Visibility and Alerts for Drivers (The Safety Aspect):
    Active Presence Marking: A rider who selects this mode would be marked as an "active Waze user" on the map, similar to a car or motorcycle, but with a unique icon (e.g., a helmet or a scooter).
    Automatic Safety Alerts: Waze could warn car drivers who are approaching a rider or a group of riders from behind. The alert could be audible ("Caution: Cyclist ahead") or visual on the screen.
    Hazardous Areas: Warnings could be issued to drivers in advance of areas prone to riding (e.g., a road section without a dedicated bike lane, or a popular riding zone).
    2. Specific Reporting for Riders (The Community Aspect):
    Reporting Road Hazards: Giving riders the option to report specific dangers that threaten them and low-profile vehicles (such as potholes, obstacles in the bike lane, or a blocking car). These reports would also benefit other drivers.
    Mutual Safety Cooperation: Riders could report the presence of police/inspectors focusing on LEVs, thereby creating a reciprocal safety community (as Waze currently does for cars).
    The Unique Advantage of Waze
    Other navigation apps offer cycling routes, but Waze is the only application used by millions of drivers on the roads worldwide. I believe the solution to the LEV safety problem lies in Waze's unique ability to connect heavy vehicle users (cars) with light vehicle users (e-bikes/scooters) on the same platform.
    I am confident that adding this feature will not only improve rider safety but will also help drivers be more focused, reduce the element of surprise, and ultimately save lives and reduce the number of traffic accidents.
    I urge the Waze development team to prioritize the immediate addition of this critical safety feature.
