  1. Add Ethanol-Free as an additional grade of fuel

When reporting gas prices, the highest-priced unleaded fuel seems to automatically wind up being thought to be premium, when premium can often be cheaper than ethanol-free fuels of lower octane rating. Having the ability to report ethanol-free fuel prices may help avoid such mistakes.

  2. Fuel consumption trip

Ask the user the car consumption (L/100km) and the fuel price (cost per liter) in the settings, then calculate the fuel cost of the trip. (This trip will cost 12,4€ in fuel and 3€ in toll.) Like in the Mappy website for example.

  3. the ease does not know that my country here a lot of road toll, which need to Q to pay fees to go through, the ease alwayspop

My idea to make wase better is, set in road toll on the map and drive, and speed limit buzzle sound, prevent overspeed on road and face summon by traffic officer. and a lot of speedtrap camera on high-speed expressway,
set that in also with sound on speech, so that the driver can slow down the vehicle speed,

  4. Camera AI

Use the camera along with AI and any dash mount to recognize lanes. Additionally, with some fine tuning of an AI, recognize when the driver witnesses a wreck, confirm it was a wreck, and then send a recording to police along with contact info for driver.

  5. Waze always sends me on a route with 2 tolls, I want to limit to 1

Waze always directs me to a route that requires 2 tolls, when for 2 extra minutes I only have 1 toll. It's not worth it to pay a 2nd toll for 2 minutes - and Waze hasn't recognized that I almost never follow its suggested route.

Why don't you use Richard Armitage's voice as a navigator? Thorin himself would be telling us where to go and what streets to avoid...

  9. Waze widget

Today for the firsrt time i installed the waze widget. I liked but it seemed very simple. I think that the ETA shown was if I took TOLL roads bit when I touched "Drive" it took me to the non-TOLL road (which was the one I wanted but then the ETA was much longer) So I had one Idea but I need to show it. How can attach a picture to this post? But in other words it would nice to have the ETAs for TOLL roads and non-TOLL roads. Let me know if i can send a…

  10. Suggestion to add 'vehicle stopped in lane' in the 'hazard on road' option.

I often encounter vehicles stopped in the lane on the interstate as well as the surface streets. It would be helpful to have an option to report that hazard just as you can report a vehicle stopped on the side of the road. This would definitely help drivers so that they are aware and prepared for that hazard.

  12. Report blocked/ closed exits.

There’s options to report blocked lanes. Can we also have blocked exits (due to accident, construction, etc).

  13. Alternative Route Calculation Appears to Disregard Options without Freeways

The Alternative Route Calculation Appears to Disregard Options without Freeways with avoid freeways turned off.

Hi, I’ve noticed on several occasions that when I look at “other routes” with “avoid freeways” turned off, the app will suggest only routes that use freeways, even though some of these have longer time estimates and longer distances than some options that appear with “avoid freeways” turned on.

For example when navigating from Detroit to Royal Oak (with avoid freeways off) I am given three options involving highways, one 23 minutes and the other two 28 minutes. With avoid freeways turned on,…

  14. Put a bike lane in the Lincoln and Holland tunnels

    https://twitter.com/waze/status/1091359985647394816

Nobody can walk into NYC from Jersey City/Hoboken. You need to drive a vehicle or take a bus. Seems really tone def. I'm just following instructions from your twitter account. Would love for you to work with the port authority of new york / new jersey to get a bike lane or some way for pedestrians to walk under the tunnel.

  16. School buses & GPS

School buses have GPS now. It would be nice if the app would show active school buses in the area so we can avoid frequent and delaying stops along their route.

  17. Alert And/Or Settings/Navigation Option for Low Bridges

Low bridges (rail and road) are an issue throughout Westchester County, NY and over-height trucks frequently strike these bridges. Apparently on S Main (Rt 1) in Port Chester, Metro North is reporting a low bridge as an object in the road (for several months).
The problem here is, I would never consider a bridge as an 'object in road'. Rather, this alert distracts from looking at the low bridge warning signs. Drivers would pay attention to a permanent alert of a low bridge for this and other sites. Or for navigation by over-height vehicles, adding an option in settings/navigation to …

  18. Suggested driving speed based on traffic

Based on current driving conditions, the app would let you know how fast you should be going to keep traffic moving (i.e., if it was heavy traffic the app would recommend a speed of 10mph vs. moderate traffic with a recommended speed of 35mph). The feature would also suggest a lane you should be driving in, based on GPS speed, so drivers who prefer to go at a modest highway speed are in the middle or right lanes.

  19. Avoiding Via

At first step, the purpose of this list (or menu) is:
Any user to create a list of roads, streets, etc. that will be avoided by them, either by holes (poor maintenance) or Unsafe (crime) preventing Waze of create routes for such via.

In a second step, the policies and area managers (Waze) create risk zones with respect to crime.

  20. Add ability to specify number of passengers so that App can determine whether to suggest taking High Occupancy Vechicle Lane on highways

Some highways have HOV Lanes that are intended for cars with 2+ occupants (i.e. Hwy 403, 404 Ontario Canada). In cases when person is travelling alone the App still suggests taking HOV lane because it does not know the number of occupants in the car.

Thank you for your suggestion! As you may know, Waze offers HOV routing for taxis. To change your vehicle type go to Settings > Vehicle type. There are currently no plans to add more HOV options.
