  1. U.K. Motorway Variable speed limits

Is there a way that Waze can receive an information feed of the U.K. motorway variable speed limits?
I am sure this must exist and have the ability to be tapped into.
The M25, is a great example, but there are many more motorways across the country, often have variable speed limits posted on signs above the lanes. These can change depending on the operators and in response to incidents or traffic conditions.
It would be incredibly useful to be able to see on the Waze screen what the current limit is, and to know that it is current.

Thank you for your suggestion! As you may know, Waze offers HOV routing for taxis. To change your vehicle type go to Settings > Vehicle type. There are currently no plans to add more HOV options.

  3. Urgent Proposal: Integrate E-Bike and Scooter Riders into the Waze Map for Driver and Rider Safety

    The Immediate Safety Need
I am urgently requesting that you integrate electric bicycle and scooter riders into the Waze traffic map. I believe the primary need is not just navigation for the riders themselves, but to increase the visibility of these vehicles in the eyes of the car drivers who use the application.
I see that Light Electric Vehicles (LEVs) – e-scooters and e-bikes – have become an integral part of urban and intercity traffic. They travel on the edge of roads, in bus lanes, and on bike paths close to driving lanes, and they pose a significant…

  4. I need suport on this as I've tried to get Waze to make this adjustment but they keep saying enough people have to agree

It seems crazy to me that you can so easily post a vehicle stopped on the side of the road...not effecting traffic at all...yet there is no option to report a vehicle broken down in the middle of Freeway lanes, causing a monumental traffic jam! There is an option for roadkill!!! Like a squashed squirrel is really going to impact your journey...but nothing for a vehicle. I had this problem happen to me. There was an almighty backup and I had no idea why. There was a vague report about "an Object" in the road, but you think of…

  5. There must new route selection with HOV lanes 2+ or 3+ passengers. The warning of speed cams, redlight cams, hidden police radar cars in Waze

In USA the Waze must update a new route selection when there is congestion earlier.Especially Google Maps works very well to avoid any congestion before arrival that point. There must a new selection for HOV lanes 2+ or 3+ passengers in same car with entries to HOV lanes. The warning must be often for Speed cams, redlight cams, hidden police cars. The most important update for the colors are conflicting about traffic congestion. The userface of map must be update similar vs Google Map.I am glad to have Waze ,but the aim must be a better than previous.thanks

  6. Using streetview to show actual turns on screen

I would like to use streetview pictures at junctions and exits so waze can show the actual situation on screen and highlight the lanes that people need to be in to follow the designated route.

Arrows can be put as an overlay on the streetview picture to properly prepare people for what is coming.

  7. Maps updates (more frequently)

    Hello,

I would like to ask why the maps are not updated more frequently? In metro Atlanta, they have added new toll lanes on I-75. Those routes have not been added and when we are using those lanes using Waze they are very confusing with all the nonsense directions we hear. These new toll lanes were added a year ago, and as of today in 2020, no updates yet!! Thank you for listening to my request

  9. I-95 South of Washington DC

Waze does not recognize the EZ Pass lanes that change direction during the day. When using these lanes, Waze continually directs you to exit these lanes and move to the permanently North or South lanes. It’s very distracting and should be corrected.

  11. Report blocked/ closed exits.

There’s options to report blocked lanes. Can we also have blocked exits (due to accident, construction, etc).

  12. Add Support for Mopeds, Bicycles & Moped Speed Checks (Known as Rollerbanks)

I suggest adding support for mopeds and bicycles as selectable vehicle types in Waze, allowing users to receive more accurate routes tailored to bike lanes and moped-accessible roads. Additionally, introducing a report option for roadside speed checks specific to mopeds (commonly known as "rollerbanks" in some regions) would greatly benefit two-wheeler users by improving route awareness and promoting fair, transparent traffic monitoring.

  14. Speed indicator

When the phone is in landscape mode, the speed indicator can be sometimes hidden by the lanes indicator when it pops up.
Is it possible to put the speed indicator on the foreground or move it when it is hidden under another object?
    Thank you

  15. Voice/audio command instances & timing

The timing of the audible commands should be perfectly consistent. I drive a semi thru all 48 states and sometimes it seems like the audible voice command forgets or seems to pick and choose when to tell me the next instruction, and I would like to not have to mess with my phone while driving to pull the wave app back on screen if it isn't already, read the instruction, and navigate the onscreen map to see where to turn while in heavy traffic on urban roads/hwys I'm unfamiliar with trying not to miss my turn. Sometimes, it'll announce 300…

  16. Color code car icon by distance

When Waze zooms in & out, the car icon stays the same size. Why not color code the car icon, green for when you are far away, yellow when you are close & need to change lanes for a turn/exit, red when you are within a quarter mile.

  17. Car stopped ON road ie: transport unloading new cars

In Ontario we have frequent stopped vehicles in the centre turning lanes of roadways. They stop to unload new vehicles for car dealerships. Would like an option to report car/vehicle stopped ON the roadway, separate from the “car on shoulder” option

  19. Sharing Tips

Sharing tips about an specific area, that would pop up as you drive. Remarks written by drivers for specify roads or areas, such as "people crossing out of crossing lanes", "wet when slippery", "skate boarders often on the road"....just random tips that the drivers could write according to their opinion. It could be turned off by the driver once he/she has read it and it would never show up again. Tips that locals know and can improve driving safety and it's hard to create specific topics. Just custom made tips.

  20. More voice warning before freeway exits, regardless of speed

I noticed that the location of the voice instruction you hear before a freeway exit varies based on how fast you're going.
Around 100 km/h, you get the voice instruction 1.5 kilometres before your exit.
Around 80 km/h, you get the voice warning about 1 km before the exit.
Around 60 km/h, you get the warning just 300 metres before the exit.

It's the last one that I think is a problem. Some drivers rely mostly on the voice instructions either because we don't have a phone stand or because of restrictive laws regarding phone use while driving. And if…
