Fix routing around large bodies of water e.g. Lake Michigan
For example, when I travel from Milwaukee to Detroit, I have to use Google Maps because Waze can't figure out how to drive around Lake Michigan. It's been like this for years and would be great if it could get fixed. The only way I can get it to work is to do a trip from Milwaukee to Chicago and then from Chicago to Detroit.

Add the ability to map parking lots and parking areas
The map should contain markings for parking lots and parking areas available in an area, so that upon arrival the client can request to show all available parking solutions within a specified radius.

How great would it be to turn on your Waze and go visit a lemonade stand?
I would like to be able to report the location and also search/find local lemonade stands on my maps. I make it a rule that I NEVER pass one without stopping. (Hint: it's not the product, it's the service that makes you happy).

Bring back classic map view (ie. the magnifying glass and no “my Waze” and search bar. It is intrusive and takes up too much map space).
Please revert back to the classic map view. This new map layout is impractical and takes up way too much valuable map space when viewing in landscape mode. The magnifying glass instead of the two massive bars (My Waze and Search) was a far more effective use of screen space. At least give us the option to hide one or both of them.

Speed camera is less visible after new update
After the recent update the speed cameras are hardly visible as its camouflaged into maps and other things please change it to how it was previously or make the speed cameras visible by making it bigger on the maps. I'm sure every waze users agrees with me.... If u check social media platforms others don't like it either.

Doing more than one stop is just a pain. Going back to Google maps
I entered more than one destination. Swapping destinations impossible. No flag to show different destinations along the entire route. Just s pain

SPLIT: wake my phone/wake Maps from sleeping" when I am getting close to my destination
very often, I know the general way to my destination like 80% but I need Waze to guide me on the 20% remaining steps. If I set Waze to my destination, put my phone in the mount as I start, then start riding, it will drain the battery for nothing because I already know most of the way. If I put my phone to sleep, I ride, then I have to stop when I am getting close to my destination, take off my gloves, take the phone out, activate it, put it back, put gloves back, then drive. Option at drive later to enter your starting time
Install an option where you can see at drive later, not only when you should start, but when you know when you can start, how long the trip will take, like in google maps ;)

Hot keys on the map screen
Have the ability to choose and add as hot keys to the map screen things like, car on shoulder, police, debris in roadway are examples... make them configurable to your most common choices... Currently while driving it takes 3 different clicks to post about a car on the shoulder, or debris in the road......hot key buttons set on the side of the screen Would help keep the eyes on the road and ensure post are made in time about the hazards..

I have both waze and google maps on my iPhone
I prefer waze as it is gets 99.9% if addresses perfect, and it’s just the best app ,
Google maps works on my large screen aftermarket car audio system via a connection cord to my iPhone , but waze doesn’t work can you make it so that it works !!! Currently playing music shown on map
I use my phone to listen to music while driving (through Bluetooth) a lot of the time and I also use the screen of my phone to see what song is playing, I just thought it would be a cool thing for the app to tell you what song is playing on your phone while having the map open. I have seen other apps do this so I know it is possible.

Get the next turn announcement in distance instead of time
Coming from Google Maps, it is frustrating hearing the next turn, announcement in time, I can't even figure out how far am I from that

Korea
Not really an idea as much as information, but in the country menu, the option is only available for 'Korea, Democratic People's Republic', which is North Korea. I assumed this was an error and was right - the maps do load South Korea. It should be 'Korea, Republic of'.

customize Shortcut buttons on map screen
I think its better let users to add 3 shortcut buttons(floating or fix) to map screen like ( vehicle stoped, police or anything which user decide) then user can report by one click ,its fast and safe
It help to make fast reports , current situation is user have to make 2/ 3 steps to make report, on busy roads its very useful.10 votes -

Show Waze result when searching full road name
Currently if you search the full road suffix instead of the abbreviated one (e.g. Street instead of St, or Road instead of Rd) it will only show Google results and not Waze ones since the roads names are abbreviated when mapped. This can lead to the Wazer not finding roads if they are not mapped in Google Maps or being routed poorly.
Waze should instead recognise the full name of an abbreviated name and continue to show Waze results.
