QEW hot pass
For Ontario you should add the QEW hot lane pass (HOV) as an option - I have a hot lane pass but it is only for use on QEW not 403 - therefore the choices to come into the office or on the way home are never correct as I have to choose HOV lane and then it assumes I can use all HOV lanes. Allow us to click on reports on the map and select "avoid" or "route me there"
We should be able to click on a report that we see on the map, and select an option on the go. If it's something you definitely don't want to deal with (construction, ice, etc.) you can click "avoid this" and the map would update your route to take another road. Or in my case, I seek out and provide free roadside assistance to any disabled vehicles, so I would like to see stopped vehicle reports on the map and be able to click "route me there" or "add this as a stop to my trip" so I can…

More comprehensive directions
Waze should be able to give more detailed and frequent directions, perhaps as a selectable option (e.g. regular "keep left/right and go straight for the next __ metres" reminders, or more frequent "turn left in __ metres" instructions every 50m rather than 100m/200m).
In one experience, the road I was travelling on split to two separate but parallel lanes, and because Waze didn't mention anything I ended up taking the wrong path. A more frequent reminder to keep left/right would have avoided this.
tl;dr make Waze more talkative.

Bring back opposite lane reporting
Why on earth was opposite direction reporting removed? I could get quite sarcastic right now, but it's too early..

Horse-riding
It would be great if you could mark yourself as a slow-moving hazard for other Wazers to be alerted to on their screens as they drive.
Imagine you are riding a horse on a narrow country lane. Considerate drivers slow right down when passing riders on horseback to avoid spooking the horses.
If you could declare yourself a rider on horseback, and had your phone with you then other Waze users could be alerted to your presence well before rounding the very last corner and needing to brake suddenly.
This could reduce accidents between horses and cars.

Third lane
It would be very useful if it showed on the map when there is a third track. It could help mitigate road accidents, as it is in the third lane that most cars overtake other vehicles, and knowing when there will be one would help a lot.

In Brazil why in the waze, the highways have no speed limit, tax to use de road and values?
I´m a brazilian user of wase, some things i observe:
1- Why waze doesn't show speed limit road like the car speed?
2- Why toll location in the map don't have (local do pedágio)?
3- Why don't allow include/change the prices for use the road (toll price)?

3 votesThank you for your suggestion! As you may know, Waze already has Motorcycle Mode included in the app. To change your vehicle type, tap Settings > Car Details > Vehicle type.

Should include the Highest of HGV and Luton Van on vehicle type.
Also, the map should have an option the avoid going under the bridge due to the height of certain Luton vans and HGV.27 votes -

Carplay settings
It would be nice to have access to the waze settings though apple carplay so that I can turn toll roads or other features on and off quickly as opposed to having use the phone app. Google already has this but I prefer using Waze so please work on this.

Capture Entry/Exit Locations On Tool Roads - California Visitors
When visiting California from out of state, toll roads come into play. Most often they are the most direct route. But the challenge is knowing when and where you have actually entered and exited them. So when you visit TheTollRoads.com to pay your toll, you need to know the date, time, entry point and exit point for the fare calculation. Is it possible to add a radar weather layer to the navigation map while driving in real time and suggest alternative routes to avoid severe weather. It would be useful to avoid large snow/ ice storms or hail/ thunder storms.

New Tolling on I66 in Northern Virginia/DC
Hi there. I am sure you are aware of this, but soon here in the DC area, specifically on the I66 roadway, dynamic tolling will begin soon. Google maps does not quite yet have that in the map itself. Given that these tolls will be quite burdensome, alternate routes will be required and therefore an option to "avoid tolls" will be needed for the stretch of road on I66 from the beltway to DC. Which lane should follow before getting to the location where Waze tells your next turn
Waze shows the lane that should be used for the next turn, but do not show which lane you should follow at each cross road or traffic light. I was using the Waze in cities abroad or even in my country and as I didn’t know the town was cumbersome to guess which lane should I take at every cross road / traffic light before getting to the actual position where I should take a turn and Waze was telling me which are the coreect lanes. Add the Traffic Light time to green and recommended speed to avoid red lights capability for cities that have this info. Time to red is also
Utilize data from cities that have traffic light info available.
Calculate red light timing where this data from cities are not yet available. Bu using existing Wyze traffic data at high traffic red light intersections you can provide most of this valuable info directly.
With this data on directions map display:- Show time to red ( useful for red light cams and avoid accidents)
- Show Time to green
- Show ideal speed to minimize red lights

Show which side of the street the location is on when you turn onto it
I would love for Waze to show which side of the street the location is on when you turn onto the final street. This would be especially helpful when there are two lanes to the road and you need to know which lane to be in.
