U.K. Motorway Variable speed limits
Is there a way that Waze can receive an information feed of the U.K. motorway variable speed limits?
I am sure this must exist and have the ability to be tapped into.
The M25, is a great example, but there are many more motorways across the country, often have variable speed limits posted on signs above the lanes. These can change depending on the operators and in response to incidents or traffic conditions.
It would be incredibly useful to be able to see on the Waze screen what the current limit is, and to know that it is current.7 votes -
Notice to change the speed limit
Optional setting to alert to speed limit.
I am driving with current speed A km/h,
for X meters I will arrive in the city(or location), where the speed limit is B km/h,I would like a notice what distance is to the new speed limit.
or when I should take off leg from speed pedal and come to a new limit speed.
May be, set some intensity of breaking ?
(sorry for my english)

Vehicle Information and Maintenance Notifications
I would like to propose adding a feature that allows users to set and manage vehicle information, along with receiving notifications for the following:
1. Car Insurance Expiration: Reminders when the insurance is about to expire, so users can renew it on time. 2. Vehicle Inspection Validity: Notifications before the scheduled inspection date, ensuring compliance with legal requirements. 3. Oil Change and Maintenance: Alerts based on mileage to remind users when it’s time to change the oil or perform other essential maintenance tasks after driving a specified distance. This feature would greatly enhance user convenience and help in maintaining the…

Improve calendar synchronization
Waze for Android integrates with Google Calendar - but it synchronizes relatively infrequently, so if I add a new scheduled event for later today, if often doesn't get picked up by Waze before the event occurs. I would like to see one or more of the following solutions:
1) Customizable calendar-synchronization interval.
-or-
2) Have sync interval remain hard-coded, but shorten it to every 30 minutes (or some other reasonable value)
3) In addition to (1) or (2), a manual-sync option would be helpful.

Resolve GPRS/EDGE connectivity issue
Wifi works great, but when I am on road or trying to connect via GPRS, Waze rarely connects. On the web and on the Waze forums itself this issues is litterred numerous times, with various people discovering different ways which made it work for them. None of them, unfortunately worked for me. This means that on road, I have no Waze connectivity for updates. Bad. This should be a critical issue to be put on top priority.

Provide option to choose interace: classic 3.x vs 4.x vs x.x
Provide the option to utilize the old 3.x interface as it is much faster, less processor intensive, and more intuitive for many users.
The new 4.x interface is many times more processor intensive; it is unusable on an iphone 4 and sometimes lags on an iphone 6s.

Sonic the Hedgehog (Ryan Drummond or Jason Griffith or Roger Craig Smith)
Please consider adding one of the 3 main English voice actors for Sonic the Hedgehog. But me personally would love to hear Jason Griffith’s Sonic the Hedgehog giving me directions.

A Printable Manual
I think Waze needs a concise, indexed, printable manual that covers all topics and that's undated frequently. Even after looking at the FAQs, I'm still trying to figure out what a "wave" is an how to implement it.

Add a wireless OBD2 sensor for additional vehicle safety information
Suggest adding a wireless Bluetooth OBD2 device (BlueDriver or OBDLink MX+) so Waze can access safety features from your vehicle such as:
1. Blind spot warning
2. Accidental lane departure
3. Show when turn signals are on - for those that forget - optional beep after 5 seconds and before my wife says “YOUR BLINKERS ON!!!”
4. Etc.Option - For lane departure and blind spot warning above - when the two are triggered the Waze display or the hud display below could kick in the appropriate mirror camera video (if the vehicle has mirror cameras) so you see the…

Show variance in traffic report icons on map.
There are 3 levels of traffic, but only the "heavy" icon displays. The user has to click on a traffic icon to find out whether it's moderate, heavy, or complete standstill.

Feature request - ability to specify which lane is affected
I wonder if it would be possible to add an extra screen where you can specify where a hazard is - e.g. a pothole or object in the road. It’s not useful on a 3 lane motorway to be informed about a pothole in lane 3 when you’re driving in lane 1!
Additionally if a feature could be added regarding reporting things on the other side of the road - e.g. roadworks that are in the lane going in the other direction but not affecting your lane.

At this time is there any way you could link to stores to find out who has water, bread and toilet paper available
Is there any way you could link with major food stores and we could be updated with what ones closest to us has water, bread formula and toilet paper? Possibly how much they have in stock?

Displaying streets names
Please let us choose weather to display the streets names or not. When driving abroad I just want to get quickly to the destination. I don't care what are the streets names along the route.

50cc 45km/h Scooter navigation
I’d love to have a scooter navigation, that knows what the traffic situation looks like and that gives you the exact route. I live in the Netherlands and 45km/h scooters often need to switch between de cycling lane and the car lane, so it would be nice if the navigation would give you the exact route including when you need to switch from one lane to the other. First try this for the Netherlands as we drive a load of scooters and cycle a lot, and because of this, our traffic signs are good to follow which makes it easier…

Readd the autozoom disable funtion
The autozoom disable function was removed in the last update. I am very disappointed with this. I never used autozoom and I am not a fan. I like to stay zoomed out so now I am fighting with the app every few minutes. Please return this function. I am not the type to makes threats to stop using something but I researching other navigation apps to avoid doing this. Or at least let me set the zoom function (how far to zoom in and out and at what speeds). I could set it all consistently if I don't want it…
3 votesGreat news! The option to disable the auto zoom is now available in Waze. Install the latest app version to check it out.

Leaderboard: top x% of users
Congratulations on the relaunch of Leaderboard!
To enhance the monitoring experience over time, I would like to propose a ranking system based on a percentage of total users within a specific universe. For instance, suppose I am ranked #200 in a country with 1,000 editors. In this scenario, I would be in the top 20% of the rankings.
If, over the course of a few years, my ranking drops to #300, it might initially seem discouraging. However, this change could be attributed to the local community expanding to 3,000 editors. Consequently, I would still be in the top 10% of…
