Close a report that is in the opposite lane or behind me
I am also often interested in the reports from the opposite lane. I can confirm these. If the report is definitely incorrect or no longer available, I would like to report it or even have it deleted.
If I have driven past a report and open it later, I cannot delete it either. I am more likely to be able to find out about suspensions behind or next to me than presumably in front of me. I would be very pleased if this function were added.

Variable distance until off-ramp
When on a 4, 5, or 6 lane highway, traveling at highway speeds in the left lane, in moderate or congested traffic in the left lane, I really need more than 1 mile notice of an offramp. So it'd be nice if either (a) the distance to a turn was related to speed (e.g., at 25 miles an hour, a mile notice is good, but at 65 miles an hour a three mile notice would be better) AND/OR (b) users having the ability to set the distance that they want turn-notices to be announced.

Node Types - Multi use and meaningful for routes (Traffic Lights, Lane Guidance, etc)
An intersection always has a node, this node could become much more meaningful than simple turns and could significantly enhance the functionality of Waze (albeit with a significant development penalty).
By adding some logic to nodes you will be able to introduce some logic that will significantly enhance the ability for the routing engine to calculate superior routes when taking in things like traffic light penalties and other metrics.
1) You can collect timing metrics for intersections much more efficiently, and potentially learn intersection timing and other factors which will help produce much more accurate route timings without depending on…

Add bike lanes on roads
There should be an option where you can see bike lanes, it can pop up on the side of roads that actually have bike lanes. If there is a bike lane and you need to turn where the bike lane is, it could give you a warning to watch for cyclists in the bike lane. With adding bike lanes, you can even add a feature for cyclists! When you put in your destination on Waze, there could be a pop up that is a little button which says CAR or BIKE. You could switch it on…

Show bus lanes in motorcycle mode
In Australia, we can drive in bus lanes if you drive a motorcycle/scooter, therefore please preference a route with a bus lane, as it will be much quicker than one without.

QEW hot pass
For Ontario you should add the QEW hot lane pass (HOV) as an option - I have a hot lane pass but it is only for use on QEW not 403 - therefore the choices to come into the office or on the way home are never correct as I have to choose HOV lane and then it assumes I can use all HOV lanes. Thank you.

Need a feature to shift lanes on multi lane divided hwy such as the 401. (core/collector shift)
Need a button to allow Waze to re-pinpoint your location if you ignore where it wants you shift from core to collectors if you miss it or decide to ignore it I would like to be able to bump myself into the correct lane, right now the only way to fix it is to close waze and then re-open and it will pick up that your not in the parallel Lanes.

Additional highlights for current lanes
A excellent feature that would help navigation in close intersaction areas would be additionally highlighting preferred lanes for next intersection. For example having 2 close intersections 1. shows use first 3 lanes for this intersenction 2nd shows to use the 1st or the last lane to continue. While the current feature of overall showing what lanes are plausible for this intersection is great, it has led me to fast maneuvering or slowing down to change lanes in unknown areas with close intersections, would be awesome if while driving before the 1st intersection as now it shows…

Show school carpool lanes
Show SCHOOL "carpool" lanes; i.e. Temporary lane closures during certain hours of the day, mostly around private schools, that clog up traffic
1 voteThank you for your suggestion! As you may know, Waze offers HOV routing for taxis. To change your vehicle type go to Settings > Vehicle type. There are currently no plans to add more HOV options.

entering an accident
I would like to address you with one suggestion. I'm an everyday user of Waze and I came up with one small adjustment that might help.
When entering an accident, would it be possible to add to the application the option to mark the lane where the accident occurred? At the moment, it is written in the accident report, but few people read here. I often see situations where cars change into another lane, for example on the highway at the last minute, and this change could help to make the lanes smoother before the accident.Existing accident…

Add ability to specify number of passengers so that App can determine whether to suggest taking High Occupancy Vechicle Lane on highways
Some highways have HOV Lanes that are intended for cars with 2+ occupants (i.e. Hwy 403, 404 Ontario Canada). In cases when person is travelling alone the App still suggests taking HOV lane because it does not know the number of occupants in the car.

Destination location
If when navigating waze told you whether your destination was on the right or left side of the street would help. Also the lane assistant would be nice.

adjust hazard reporting to include where the problem is, IE left Shu
Location of Hazard/Accident: It would be extremely helpful to be able to identify where a Hazard or Accident is IE: Left or Right Shoulder, Left or Right Lane or Center lane. This would allow wazers to adjust there positioning on the road to get through the problem area quicker by knowing to stay on the opposite side of where the problem has been reported.

A driver in the express lane without a transponder configured receives a notification that a transponder is required
If Waze detects that a driver is in the express lane but the driver does not have a transponder configured in the app, provide an alert telling the driver a transponder is required.
Alternatively, let a driver know at the start of a drive that a given route could be faster if they had an ezpass transponder configured.2 votes -
Include a naming system for roads with multiple lanes such as apple , blueberry or carrot etc .
A naming system for lanes could help with direction and lane maintenance .

Add full support on HUD displays on cars
When using Waze in my Car via Android Auto, it shows show semi support on the HUD display.
For example, when turning left on roundabout, the arrow and symbol shows straight instead of circle with left arrow surrounding it.
Another support is missing - When driving on road with several lanes and need to stay on right lane or left lane, no lanes appear on HUD, only straight arrow.
Google Maps and Sygic work great with HUD display so it's clearly an issue with Waze.
Please fix.
