Waze app bug - super annoying
app runs in background after disconnecting from Apple CarPlay. Please fix this! It’s a battery killer, and super annoying to have to manually close after every trip. It’s enough to uninstall the app.

Motorcyclist Approaching / Fast Vehicle Approaching Report
Some motorists like to weave in and out through traffic. Often times, these drivers/riders are only noticed once they fly by, which can be dangerous or fatal for anyone involved. We can increase driver awareness by adding a “Motorcycle Approaching” or “Fast Vehicle Approaching” feature in the Navigation mode. This will warn other Wazers that a fast motorcycle or fast vehicle may be approaching and to be extra cautious when merging. With a larger audience aware of fast-approaching vehicles, we can attempt to save more lives.

Ad Skipping
I would love for Waze to automatically "watch this short video for 30 minutes of ad free music" on Spotify. The only way to select it is by clicking on the spotify app, opening it, then selecting the option to watch the ad, which can be very distracting and dangerous. Every time I will want the 30 minutes of ad free music!

Display destination on screen during navigation
Lately, I have repeatedly run into situations where, after driving for 1-2 hours, I have doubts whether I have selected the right destination. To be able to check this, I have to interrupt the navigation. This usually causes distractions while driving.
My suggestion is to introduce a display of the current destination above the estimated travel time field. This feature would be especially beneficial when using the Apple CarPlay integration. It would help users like me to always keep the desired destination in view, thus eliminating the dangerous interruptions during the drive.41 votes -
Why not WAZE subsidies for people that use no fuel or electricty to get to work?
I bicycle commute to work and watch my co-workers get paid to carpool. What gives?

The map should be able to display on the phone, even if CarPlay is active
Please can there be the option of keeping navigation running on the phone screen, even if CarPlay is enabled. CarPlay Display Units are often down low (where car radios used to be), and looking at that as your satnav is dangerous and distracting. Keeping the map on the phone will enable safer driving and a happier Apple and Waze customer base

Waze to replace maps in iOS13
Right now Waze is in carplay, but not integrated like apple maps is in iOS13. When will you be able to do that? It would be nice to have everything in one spot. Especially when using apple music. I understand that Apple has to let third parties, like youselves, in, but this is crazy. We the users should have the choice.

Voice navigation instructions based on traffic lights and stop signs.
Apple Maps would say “At the next light turn left” or “At the stop sign turn right” or “Go past this light, and at the next one, turn left” which is very useful and helps me make turns at the right intersection, especially if two streets are close to each other.

Media controls for carplay
With Carplay and cars that do not have touch screens (or media controls on dashboard - like Mercedes C and GLC class) there is no way to control media playing now. So a podcast, or apple music, google music - whatever may be playing in the background, just keeps going. To control it, one has to switch apps and in many cases, the app is not available for carplay so you cannot even do that. Could you add skip forward, skip back and pause to Waze to control the currently playing carplay sub-app? Would be HUGE.

Turn by turn list directions
When using waze and android auto there is no way to see the turn by turn list of direction like when using the waze app alone. Also, my wife uses apple and carplay and as soon as she connects to waze via carplay her turn by turn list directions appear on her phone screen while the graphical interface of waze appears on the carplay screen simultaneously. Please provide a way to see the list of directions on android auto too. It is very important for planning a trip.

Speed trap notification on apple car play
It happened many times in for vehicles that two notifications of speed traps overlap each other blocking severe information of the app.
The only solution is to close the app and re-open it but soon it happens again, really annoying and makes the app impossible to use.

Let to use keyboard (as passanger) on Android Auto
As a user, I would like to have with Android Auto the same option as with Apple CarPlay to use the keyboard as a passenger.
Currently, while I'm driving with family f.e. on a highway in my country it's illegal to stop on the side of the road. So I'm not able to enter the destination address while in motion. My wife as a passenger has to plug out my phone from USB and enter it manually and plug it in again. It's just plain stupid. It's not even a security option if I have to use my phone to…

Support for iOS 11 DND while driving feature
iOS 11 which is being released tonight, supports do not disturb while driving. This means that if you text me whilst driving, rather than being distracted with a text message, my phone will text the person back informing them that I will see the message once I have reached my destination. The person can still call me of course.
This feature works with Apple Maps, but doesn’t work with Waze. Not sure why. Can you make Waze work with it?

put in little icons to tell where the traffic lights are so we know exactly where we are turning!

Better voice search in CarPlay mode and categories like Gas, Food, etc so you don’t have to take your eyes off the road and use the phone. I find myself having to close the Waze app in CarPlay and open up Apple maps just to find a place for a new route because typing in destinations in the Waze CarPlay mode doesn’t bring up closely relevant destinations, and voice search just brings up a map with no way to select anything. Waze as default navigation app in iOS.
I find that Waze is better much better, and more reliable, than either Google or Apple maps. It would be nice if there was a way to set it as the default navigation app on my iPhone.

Show search results on map
Waze search results are objectively inferior both in app and on android auto/carplay as compared to other popular navigation apps such as gmaps or apple maps.
Both of those apps display search results on a map view, with A, B, C etc pins with a selectable list on the side, and this works in app and on the in car head unit display. Google Maps also has a MUCH cleaner "add a stop" workflow.
This is a critical and basic feature gap that makes competing map applications much easier to use for searching18 votes -
