Waze to have an option not to play sound from CarPlay as default
Currently regardless how the sound was set, Waze will always put sound on CarPlay as default and it cannot be changed. However due to some reason, I will need it to play throught my Bluetooth headset instead. Please have this option that available so that I can choose where to sound play from.

Map view for stops in carplay
When adding a stop to a current drive in Apple Car Play, it’s only possible to see a list of possible stops before picking one. Please enable map view, it’s so much easier

Add fuel station and prices to CarPlay/Android Auto interface.
You can already access favourites and search for addresses, but it would be great to access a list of nearby fuel stations and their prices (fuel type and search radius in settings).

Once you select a station, Waze routes you to it.

@waze Doing the beta test works with CarPlay. All favorites are not showing up on screen in the car. The app on iPhone is fine

Share drive
Add an option to share a drive from the CarPlay screen when using Apple CarPlay without having to open the waze on your phone.

Trip suggestion on Apple CarPlay
Please enable the trip suggestion feature also on apple Car play connected devices! The feature is not available but it’s very usefull ❤️

Waze should stop after disconnecting from car play
Waze starts automatically after connecting to carplay, but doesn’t turn off automatically after disconnecting from carplay. It should turn off automatically based on proximity to destination + carplay disconnect + optional couple minutes delay :) I think this will be a better user experience and will improve battery life of the user. I saw a few threads on reddit about this issue but without a solution.

Night mode issue
Previously with CarPlay set to Dark mode (which I think makes it easier to see CarPlay functions), Waze when set to “Auto” showed daytime maps when light outside and night versions of maps when dark out (at night or in a garage). Lately, Waze only shows night versions of maps unless CarPlay is set to light mode. I have always had CarPlay on dark mode and this was not an issue. Also note that both Apple Maps and Google Maps show daytime versions of their maps when it is daylight outside even with CarPlay on dark mode, just as Waze…

Make text boxes on CarPlay translucent
Make text boxes (i.e. for directions or alerts) translucent so the map can still be visible

Turn by turn list directions
When using waze and android auto there is no way to see the turn by turn list of direction like when using the waze app alone. Also, my wife uses apple and carplay and as soon as she connects to waze via carplay her turn by turn list directions appear on her phone screen while the graphical interface of waze appears on the carplay screen simultaneously. Please provide a way to see the list of directions on android auto too. It is very important for planning a trip.

When apple carplay is connected - you can’t look at Waze on your phone.
When apple carplay is connected - you can’t look at Waze on your phone. I can’t scroll to see the road, it forces you to be on a list screen so while driving, I have to disconnect my phone, scroll, and then connect it back & wait for it to connect. Why can’t I just have a normal Waze app when it’s connected. This is so dangerous.

Route icon moved from the top to the right in Apple CarPlay. Please move back icon back to the top to reduce driving focus.
Waze app was recently updated in July 2023 (~ver 4.96.1) and Route icon moved from the top to the right in Apple CarPlay. Please move back icon back to the top. My Acura uses a round dial to navigate Apple CarPlay and is not a touch screen. Previously it was a simple rotate to the right while drive to find alternate driving routes, but now it takes several clicks causing a major distraction to driving focus.

Suspended Waze / Apple shortcut feature
Waze is draining my battery, when I turn off my car and my iPhone disconnects to Carplay, Waze still runs and ends my battery, please add the action to suspend Waze in Apple shortcuts, that way we can do action to suspend the app after carplay disconects

Apple CarPlay Audio Pause Issue
It is more of an issue than an idea.
It is a Waze app issue when it runs on Apple car play.I have a Nissan X Trail 2024 GCC model.
I daily use the app while commuting.
I also use a usb flash drive audio playing at the background.Issue: When Waze gives me alert e.g. speed change alert or any other alert

Waze shuts down radio with each prompt with Apple CarPlay. Distracting to find the station button after each and every prompt. Fix this.
I would like to use Waze with CarPlay but it shuts off the radio with each prompt and I have to select the channel again after each prompt on my Subaru. What gives? Very distracting....

Buttons for confirm/dismiss -For CarPlay
Have confirm/dismiss buttons in larger “square” shaped format side by side rather than 2 long skinny rectangles on top of each other. More prone to accidentally clicking the wrong one while driving because there is little space for error while clicking. If they were decent sized 2 squares side by side, easier to click the correct one.

Apple Carplay waze en google maps
Het zou goed zijn om te weten in welke straat we aan het rijden zijn doormiddel van een apparte vak te tonen !
Ook zou het leuk zijn om te weten wat de volgende afslag wordt en welke de volgende straat is en of kruising !
Het tonen van verkeersborden zou ook Ideaal zijn ( eenrichtingsverkeer, verbod om in te halen, voorrangsweg, ... etc ) !

Enable Speech-to-Text for Map Update Requests While Driving (via Android Auto and CarPlay)
I would like to suggest an improvement to Waze that would allow users to fill out map update requests (URs) using speech-to-text while driving, particularly when connected through Android Auto or CarPlay.
Currently, when users select a map update option (such as "Incorrect address," "Missing road," or "Speed limit") while driving, there is no way to add a description of the issue. This limits the ability to provide detailed reports and often results in incomplete information being submitted. With speech-to-text functionality, users could quickly and safely dictate descriptions of the problem without having to stop or manually type anything.
