Change the colour of the road when there is at least one toll road in the trip
Sometimes you don't remember the status of the "avoid toll roads" option. I've seen that the toll road option is about to be moved on the main screen. That's great but I think it's not enough if you miss that configuration screen.
Indeed, when you start Waze while you are already running you just want to keep your eyes on the road instead in the Waze configuration.That's why I think that Waze could allow the wazer to set a custom colour for routes that use toll roads (for example red instead of blue) in the navigation menu.

Indicate toll roads on main navigation screen
Because a tiny icon in the route summary doesn't cut it and is often missed!
Also ability to show (in route summary) the cost and payment methods (cash, card, NFC, NPR, etc) of the toll road so you can plan ahead.

Schedule for toll routes configuration: allow user to configure days of week for using toll roads.
Along with the toll road configuration, also allow configuring the preferred days for using toll roads.

2 toll roads for two different operators
In Israel there are 2 toll roads for two different operators (Road 6 and Road 6 North). If a toll road is defined in Wise, it is not possible to neutralize one of the roads. For example if you are driving on Route 6 North and it is defined as Wise Road toll you also enter Route 6 North even for one small section that you could actually skip and not pay for. This exposes you to the claim that there is no possibility of controlling it.

Need to add a distinction between normal toll roads and premium priced toll roads. Ex In Northern Virginia , the toll way vs Greenway
In northern Virginia, we have a standard toll road (toll way 267) and a Greenway that goes into Loudoun County. The Greenway is an extremely high priced premium toll (min of $4.45) vs the regular toll way of $ 1 go $ 2. Since I and many others refuse to take the abusively priced Greenway but need the regular toll way for a portion of our route, we need another option other than toll or no toll. such as avoid premium toll?

Allow declaring Toll Roads and the option to not navigate through them
Waze wants to route me through a toll road every day and can't seem to find an alternate route until I actually drive it. I want to be able to avoid Toll roads, which means tolls roads need to be able to be declared in the editor.

Variable Toll versus Fixed Toll opton
A lot of users want Waze to add additional features for variable tolls but all I am asking for is for Waze to recoginze the difference between fixed tolls and varaible tolls. I've come to the conclusion that Waze is pretty much unusable for my comute from Falls Church to Herndon, VA becuase it either wants to take me on the unaffordable express lanes OR avoid the reasonable Dulles Toll Road.

I live in Lisbon, 2 bridges. Tolled only in 1 direction, south to north. I want to avoid toll roads sometimes but not the tolled bridges.

Waze notifies you of toll roads approaching
I drive around with Waze on there's no set destinations so I can know how traffic is Flowing, speed limits, hazards and such notifications as that. What waze should do is have a notification of toll roads if you are driving in their Direction if your avoid toll road option is on

toll 99
Toll 99 in Houston, TX.... For some reason, Waze is no longer utilizing Toll Road 99 in Houston as an option for travel. The road shows on the map, but Waze acts like it is not there. This is resulting in my household not using Waze, which is our preferred navigation tool.

toll tag intelligence
It would be huge if client could know if I have a toll tag and where toll tag only roads exist. Routing me over a toll tag only road (must have a toll tag to traverse) is not helpful. It would be great if Waze stored which toll tags I have and ask if it should route me over a toll tag only road when I'm in another area.

Conditional use of toll roads if saves more than set percentage of time
I live in Northern Virginia (US) where we have a growing network of high occupancy toll (HOT) lanes paralleling existing roads. These come up as separate roads in Waze as they have their own on ramps and off ramps. Just to make them more fun, they have variable tolling so when traffic is more congested on the "free" lanes the toll lanes cost goes higher. The speed limit is also higher on the toll lanes so they always come out as preferred over the regular lanes for navigation.

text reminder to pay toll
It would be nice to have a text sent when I drive on a toll road/toll lane to remind me to pay the toll. I am often not familiar with which highways are toll roads or the ones that have toll lanes. The later is the most unclear.

"Avoid toll roads" problem is Croatia
Dear Waze Development Team,
I would like to plan a route from Velence, Hungary to Rovinj. I have set up the appropriate toll stickers: Hungarian national and Slovenian national. However, in Croatia, I do not want to use the toll highways. When I turn on the "Avoid toll roads" switch, it avoids all toll roads everywhere. If I turn it off, it routes me onto the toll highway after Slovenia, even though I have not set up a toll road permit for Croatia. Why did Waze take me on a toll/HOV Road
okay the people of Waze i live in Illinois and i think we have 3 or more tolls now i am in your ask a question category off my iPhone and i read that you guys don't have an option to enable or disable express landes or HOV lanes why is that? So when i go to Midway airport i see that there are 2 roads that lead to the tolls. Now my Question is when are you going to put that coin symbol on your app to let people know that they are taking a toll…
1 voteThank you for your suggestion! As you may know, Waze offers HOV routing for taxis. To change your vehicle type go to Settings > Vehicle type. There are currently no plans to add more HOV options.

toll selection based on user pref
When traveling i would like the option to choose a toll road based on the time saving. Going on a toll road that costs $8-10 to save 1 min of travel time seems pointless. Though if I am in a hurry and it saves valuable minutes i want to know. i would like a check box that is "Use toll roads when time saving is 10 mins + option"

Waze should suggest different routes including toll roads when you put in desination
when i use waze and put in my desination I take the interstate (toll road) but Waze tells me to turn around and go through town or the city highway. It will not suggest the toll road route until I’m 50ft for the onramp. when I put in my desination Waze should give different routes suggestions and also give alerts on the ETAs and if one of the routes requires tolls, and etc.

Avoid toll roads whitelist
Avoid toll roads option would greatly be enhanced with the addition of a whitelist so you can select toll roads that you would like to still use while avoiding all the others.
For example living and working g around Brisbane I use the gateway bridge everyday however I don't want to use airport link, legacy way or clem 7

Toll roads price/time choice
It will be very handy if I have a certain budget for toll fees and I get a suggestion from Waze which is the best route depending on the price of toll.
For example, If I need to travel from Belgium to Italy, I will give Waze an estimated budget for toll and Waze will provide different routes depending on the budget , and the driver can choose the best route.5 votes
